This place is every claustrophobic person's worst nightmare. Walking around to see what each stall had to offer was difficult with swarms of people constantly moving around. Fortunately, we were able to find a table for four to eat our food. We tried food from three vendors, which gave us a nice variety: - Liu Liu Sheng Jian 六六生煎王 - Nai Brother 奈哥 - Tarim Uyghur Food There are at least 20 vendors at this food court, with more options than we could possibly try in one visit. With so many people, I quickly became overwhelmed by how busy it was. Still, I'd definitely come back to try some of the other vendors, but probably on a less busy day!

It wasn't too busy around 12 PM, so I walked around the different stalls to get a feel for what this food court had to offer. Thankfully, I didn't have to think too hard about what to try because one of my friends is basically a Flushing food expert, despite not even living in NYC. While there were at least 15 vendors, we only grabbed a few bites from three of them since these were my friend's favorites: - Fat Cat Flatbread 胖猫锅盔 - Liang Pi Wang 凉皮王 - Xie Bao Crabhouse 蟹宝 The food came out pretty quickly after ordering, and these three stalls awakened our stomachs in preparation for more delicious food to come. Overall, I liked that New York Food Court had plenty of seating and felt much more lowkey compared to the crowded and overwhelming New World Food court nearby. I came here today to show my support for Black Label Donuts's Pop Up at this food court! My friend and I waited over 2 hours as we inch by inch got up to the register. I saw many of my peeps such as Raymart (luckily was the first batch of people to get their hands on BLD's donuts), bumped into Lesie, and Lillian (so sweet to offer us samples of her 5 Spice Chocolate Hot Cake Donut and Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil Hot Cake Donut...thank you darling) + Harris. This was an enormous turnout and the line was all the way from the bottom of steps by the elevators and side doors of Queens Crossing. When we were so close, someone came over with a sampling tray of 5 Spice Chocolate and Raspberry Chocolate. I liked the Raspberry Chocolate ::sad face:: the last one went home with someone that was ahead of us and another couple. I got a hug from my friend Richard Eng, the magnificent creator of Black Label Donuts. My friend ordered Honey Crisp Chai Hot Cider...beautiful presentation and don't cover it with a lid...I had a sip of hers...very refreshingly tasty I got a Matcha Pistachio Old Fashioned (couldn't try because of my allergies), a 5 Spice Chocolate, and a Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil (I preferred this one over the lemon curd one). I love his donuts with a filling more but the hot cake donuts were yummy especially Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil! The options for filling include: lychee rose cream, matcha cream, mango cream, taro, and purple rice(my fave). After the filling gets packed into the mochi, it is sprinkled and dusted with crumbs or pork sung. There is not a lot of seating area in the golden mall, so I'd highly suggest taking the order to go. The mochi was good, but will become stale if you leave it overnight. I'd highly recommend eating it right away.

JoJu will likely be the most highly rated out of every business here and for good reason: their sandwiches are packed, the customer service is great, and the prices are reasonable. Chinese is usually the most abundant for obvious reasons with options from Hong Kong to Xinjiang. Sing Choi Kee showcases the HK cafe side, Ganblaze for daytime Chinese skewers, Da Wei Mei Shi is all for the dim sum, where as Hwa Shoo Shoo is the famous Xinjiang noodle chain. Places have come and go, but the current state of Tangram indicates the future looks bright. All other food courts have skewed Chinese, but Tangram is clearly the option for something a little different. My only complaint was that the top part of the bun was a bit stale rather than fluffy. Besides that, these were incredibly delicious. If we weren't on a food crawl, I definitely could have eaten a whole plate of these on my own, if not more.
