I've been to Tangram Food Hall a few times now, and it's become one of my go to spots in Flushing when I'm with a group and everyone wants something different. It's clean, modern, and way more spacious than a lot of other food courts in the area, which makes it easy to hang out without feeling cramped. What I like most is the variety. You can get everything from hand pulled noodles and spicy Sichuan dishes to Korean street food and fun dessert spots all in one place. It's perfect for groups because everyone can order from different vendors and still sit together. Prices are pretty reasonable, and portions are solid. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so finding a table can take a little patience. And like any food hall, some stalls are better than others but overall, the quality is consistently good. If you're in Flushing and want options without having to walk all over the neighborhood, Tangram Food Hall is definitely worth checking out. read more

Lots of food stalls and choices, from a skewer BBQ in the back to mala pot, make-your-own, ice cream, Vietnamese, Chinese, and other food styles. This complements the many restaurants in the mall itself. Tables need to be cleaned off a bit and it's very crowded, so getting a seat for more than 2 could be challenging. Nice food hall with a lot of options. This is the first of this kind of Asian food hall I've been to so it was nice to see all the various offerings. There were about a dozen stalls with dumplings, korean hot dogs, hong kong food, noodles, tacos, drinks, and desserts. Most of it was Asian themed. We ordered a bunch of food from a handful of places and the food was all decent. Nothing really stood out or was wow, in fact, some of it was kind of bland. The concept of the food hall is cute and there certainly isn't a lack of options, but it was all kind of mid range and the prices were a little ridiculous. You're paying a lot of money to eat here and much of it isn't worth the price. Cute to check out but I wouldn't face the traffic or crowds to come back. read more

Tangram Food Hall is exciting with many options -if you don't have dietary restrictions. Since becoming vegetarian, it's difficult for me to eat here. Almost all of the food vendors do not offer a vegetarian option. The only option I could find was a vegetarian Banh Mi sandwich at Joju which was pretty good and affordable. I'd like to see the vendors offer more vegetarian options. If you're a vegan, the selection is pretty much zero, aside from the Banh Mi sandwich. There's a decent amount of seating but the food hall does get pretty crowded. read more

The Tangram Mall is an Asian mall and this food court follows suit. Some of the interesting choices you'll find here include: Cruncheese (Korean hot dogs), Zaab Zaab (Northeastern Thai cuisine), Cafe Maiko (matcha desserts), Na Tart (egg tarts) and more. Our trip to Tangram Food Hall was a wonderful experience. Located near Main St in Flushing Queens, this spot has a variety of stores leaning mostly towards Asian culture. We found street parking within two blocks from the locaton. Spicy beef noodle bowls and hot lamb skewers were the perfect bites to keep us fueled during our visit. Some of the stores had tee-shirts and anime merch,l but the food is what brought us in. We cooled out pallets with matcha and bubble tea. If you are craving non asian eats, Birria Landia has a taco spot in food court. We have to make another trip and spend more time eating and exploring. Return trip required. read more

We had items from three different vendors at this food court and they were all bad -- a spicy chicken rice noodle dish with extremely soft noodles and almost no chicken, weird textured dumplings and unpleasant takoyaki from the Japanese place, and triangle kimbap that was almost all rice and no tuna. I'm sure the birria and the Vietnamese are better -- their other locations in Jackson heights and Elmhurst are great -- but from our experience this food court can't hold a candle to New World Mall. Well first off Happy New Year guys. So overall the experience at Tangram Food Hall was a relatively good start to my year. Ate a bánh mì sandwich from one of the vendors there and I have to say it was very good. Chicken was very crispy along with the bread and the pickled radish was a nice complement to the sandwich itself. One down note is that the prices for many food items from various vendors are rather expensive so be wise and aware with how much money u spend cuz u can get caught up in there cuz there's many options. Lighting ambiance is a bit dim tho. I remember seeing the ambiance brighter on YouTube vids but maybe it's just the way it's shown. Overall pretty decent experience. read more

The Tangram mall, located in Flushing NY, is a shopping Mecca. Every weekend, small businesses line the mall's atrium. I enjoy the jewelry and food booths. Additional attractions in the mall includes the Gatcha arcade, regal cinemas and a swimming pool. There is also a food court dedicated to all the tastiest foods in flushing. Aside from the eateries, there is also an orange theory gym, a swim school and a prep academy. I love to stop by for some boba and ice cream. read more

This food hall is part of a shiny new complex shaking things up in a neighborhood steeped in old school tradition. With a 4Dx theater, mall, many floors of commercial and residential units, the place was definitely aiming high. Of course I was most excited about the food hall, so I gathered a group of friends to make the 1+ hour long trek on the train there with me. I hate to say it, but the food options were a bit of a bust. We had our pick of Korean hot dogs, hot pot, spring rolls, roast duck, Taiwanese fried chicken, ice cream, and egg tarts. Nothing really jumped out at us, but we figured since we made the journey we might as well give it a shot. I ended up with a bowl of seafood noodles from the hot pot place that was wholly forgettable. The whole experience left us feeling pretty meh, and I scrambled to save the day-- by ditching this new mall for an old haunt-- the New World Mall's food court. That place never let us down, and it definitely saved our tastebuds. I know they've since added new stalls so I am open to another visit. I felt bad about dragging my friends all that way, but at least we salvaged the trip with delicious bites at New World Mall. read more

The food hall has a wide array of food stalls, including: iMilky for bubble tea & rice balls, Na Tart for egg tarts, Joju for Vietnamese food, and Soft Swerve for ice cream & soft serve. I stopped by on Friday to check out the food hall and noticed how spacious it was and there's plenty of seating available throughout. I went and ordered from several vendors including Na Tart, iMilky, and Soft Swerve. Na Tart was my favorite as their egg tarts were delicious and I did enjoy my 2 rice balls that I ordered from iMilky, and the ice cream from Soft Swerve was good albeit one of the flavors was a little icey. This relatively new food hall has lots of variety and there's something for everyone to try plus the mall itself has plenty of shops and a movie theater to check out! read more

Tangram food hall is a fun place to visit. It was crowded when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. We hit several places for some lunch: JoJu: $12.50 I got the Caramel Pork Banh mi with a runny egg. I didn't expect the sweet salty meat to be grounded. It did mix well with the runny egg. The fresh pickled vegetables and cilantro cuts the fat. DaWei Kitchen: $13.07 Curry Beef Soup I didn't taste any curry but there was a little spice. The beef was tender and the noodles were the clear type like bean thread or something similar. I'm not sure the noodle matched the broth but it wasn't bad. It was good for a cold rainy day. I'Milky $8.44 large matcha milk tea with bubbles This was a good solid milk tea. The bubbles were hot and texture perfect. The matcha taste was very strong. At 80% sugar it still felt very sweet. I can't imagine it at 100% sweetness. Zaab Zaab: $16.33 Pad Thai It was a decent pad thai with noodle, peanuts, mung bean sprouts, chicken, and 5 spice tofu. Not the best I've ever had but certainly hits the spot if that's what you're craving. CooCooCaChoo: $12:10 Crispy wings and onion rings The chicken and rings were hot and crispy. They were a little greasy and I'm not the biggest fan of the Asian spice in the coating of the wings. It's the same spice as in Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Soft Swerve: $7.08 Ube soft serve on a cake cone A simple ice cream with great Ube flavor. If you can imagine Carvel soft serve ice cream texture with strong Ube flavor, that's what we had. We had to look around before a table opened up. Overall the area was spacious but could use with more seating. The bathrooms were cleaner when they first opened. It's already starting to look a little rough. We went to the Anime store Akiba House after lunch to look around. It had some really nice stuff imported from Japan. The open areas are still clean and relatively new looking. We saw people going to the Regal movie theater and leaving. I can see spending a whole day here. read more

My friends and I went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving around 5:30pm and there weren't too many people. There are counter sitting and tables. We grabbed food from Joju, Zaab Zaab, and Xi'an Famous Food. That is one great thing about the food court. We grabbed a table and enjoyed all the food. Service was great at each of the stalls. Always packed. Sure they have good foods and a good variety but If i have to wait for a seat when there are places that could easily have seats, it not fully worth it. Been here a couple of times and parking is a nightmare as its always full and with a full size car i always fear someone will hit my car. The place has no cell phone service so its hard to contact friends on location. The bathroom are always clean though and the walking area is pleasantly always mopped. so l was at the skewer court and I ordered six skewers. it came out to 13.07. There was this one guy we'd who was staring at me while making my order, and I felt weirded out by it. I waited patiently as they served people before and after me. I could see that they had 2-3 people and were stressed about these orders so I gave them some grace. I asked them 3 times do they have my order ready yet. After that, they said no, and once it was ready, he said 38. I didn't respond in time, and not even two second later he decided to wave the skewers in my face and yell 38 out loud. I was just...appalled. After that, I had to ask the girl at the counter she could fix my order cause I didn't order four but six skewers and she fixed it...she was really nice at that. I opened up the skewers and they are small. Like..that was 13.07??? I also saw other people have some more meat on theirs. I felt like this was motivated in some way and I will not be returning back. In my opinion they should atleast train them to to give atleast decent customer service...and remove whatever bias that was... Food was mediocre, service was bad, and ambiance was okay. Massive Asian shopping mall in Flushing which is a close walk from the College Point shopping plaza. I literally felt like I was in China or some part of SE Asia coming here. All the cuisine is Asian, all the vendors are Asian, and I mostly heard native languages spoken. They even have an indoor Swim school! The second floor has a food hall which is made up of various Asian eats. As a vegetarian I struggled a bit, but eventually found myself downstairs at the classic - Xian's Famous Foods since they have a vegan noodle option. There was a sushi place with a robot serving drinks and orders and a hot pot restaurant that was very popular. Hoi Polloi was a nightclub vibe with dark lighting, loud music, and a menu with burgers. Maybe good for a group that wants a night out but inside a mall. A number of dessert places were in the food hall. They had an escalator only working on one side, so you had to take the stairs down. It is bright, shiny, and new - but I prefer local spots closer to Main St. for dining. Maybe come here for dessert. read more

The worst food court I've been to in the life!!! The lights, noise, crowds, and music are over the top too loud and overstimulating. The "hot pot" I tried from the food court was lacking flavor and wayyyy to hot. The chicken wings were decent but needed more flavor too. I will never be coming to this food court again. Every time I pass the food court on the road, gag and hold my nose. This business should be closed. I went to Tangram Food Court a couple of days ago. I went during the afternoon on a friday. It wasn't that crowded. They have nice seats where you can enjoy the atmosphere. They have music, and the vibe seems a bit hip. I ordered im milky bubble tea. I ordered the premium ice bubble tea. Next time, I will try the regular milk tea to see the difference. My mom and I went. She likes it as well. Great addition to tangram Mall. Will come again to try other foods or drinks. read more

The Tangram Food Hall is the Young Cool Asian Food Mall in Flushing's Chinatown. This is not your grandmother's food mall. This is not "one restaurant for every Asian ethnicity". It is absolutely mobbed by East Asian high school kids. The kids hang out here because their parents don't. There is a little bit of irony in all this. A non-trivial number of establishments in the Tangram Mall are for little kids. Like real little kids. Goldfish Swimming School. Angry Birds. When I was a teenager- we would have all rather died than be associated with a place that catered to elementary school kids. This place has non-trivial echoes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. But you won't find your grandmother buying eel or your grandfather having his hot pot either. So if you "need to get out of the house", Tangram Mall will do you. The food stalls tend to be pretty good. Latte places. Korean chicken sandwich places. Bubble tea joints. Thai Street Food Korean Hot Dogs. The decorating is mega cool. This does not feel like Chinatown. This feels like fun. If a younger me lived and went to school in Flushing, I might easily have been hanging out in that mall as well. If I wasn't at home on my computer doing something nerdy. read more

Not sure what kind of theme they were going for, but it seems like they were targeting the teenage demographics. Great variety of open street vendors with different offerings. Food can be a hit or miss here. Make sure you shop around and look for the best spots CooCooCachoo - I tried the chicken and waffles, which were super super dry. Interesting combo though. Food were hit or miss but it had interesting varieties. It officially opens at 10 am, but when I got there Thursday at 11 am there were no customers, in fact most of the food stalls were unattended until about 11:30. The food hall was much smaller then i expected, prob 1/3 the size of New World Mall food hall. I tried Sing Choi Kee & Na Tart, the results were mixed. The former had adequate milky toast & the cool looking little bear milk tea. Na Tart was just ok, they put different ingredients on top instead of incorporating them into the tart itself. Example the durian tart is essentialy a regular tart, with 2 pieces of durian placed on top, dissapointing. Will return to sample other stuff, but so far unimpressed. read more

Clean for now; and so far it is not as crowded as you would think "flushing" generally is. Also on a Sunday is it more crowded than usual. The atruim has ample public seating. Design concept is worth visiting! The stores are still being opened up. Best to wait until more dining places open to get the full effect. read more

This is a cute new food court in downtown flushing that deserves more attention! I've visited twice and both times the court was packed with people so I'm surprised more Yelpers haven't reviewed yet. Not everything is open as of this review, but enough stores are that Tangram is worth checking out. There are dessert stalls, boba stalls, and food stalls. All looking scrumptious and each with varying lines. The food court as a whole is decorated with a lot of hip neon lights that my friend said reminds her a lot of China & Taiwan. My friend and I both ate at Qingshu and agreed it was delicious. I would for sure return for another meal. My only qualm with this food court is the little amount of seating available. Good luck to any party larger than 2 getting to sit together. Some four seater tables exist but this is Flushing so those tables are occupied 99% of the time. It appears most of the seating area on the second floor is reserved for the bar Hoi Polloi, which is separated from the food court. read more

Came here at 7PM on a Saturday night excited to try out ANYTHING new. I was told by my friends that there are not too many stalls open yet but what I DID NOT expect is that most of the stalls that are open have menus in Chinese language ONLY. Some do not even have photos of the food. I get that Flushing IS populated by Asian restaurants but even the old stalls in the area that I frequently go to have some form of English translation. This is straight up only for customers who reads/speaks the Chinese language. Unless you know the language, don't come here to eat. read more

Tangram Mall is impressive to look at from the outside. Located on the ground floor of a large landmark building a short walk from Main Street, it has two entrances. Last week I had gone for another excursion to Flushing and this mall was on my list. Unfortunately going inside it fell short of my high expectations. It is a circular venue consisting of two floors, spacious with a few restaurants,a few stores, a small food court, a hair salon and Minisu. There is a large swimming pool on the second floor. I don't know who all can swim there. Seating is so comfortable that people hog the chairs for a long time with their heads bent looking at their iPhones. Pete Wells had reviewed JuQi for their superb Peking Duck and this is why I had come here. At $59 for half a duck, it was both expensive and too much food for me to eat especially as I was still full from the shrimp rice roll. Instead, I went to Minisu to buy a few items. The restrooms are clean and large and so when I saw a family changing their baby on a table on the ground floor I was shocked. A cleaning lady was mopping the ground floor and when she saw me hesitate to walk on the wet floor she kindly helped me walk to the exit.
