I picked up a large pie here yesterday. My family loves Mama's pizza because they make it perfectly every time. It's never too greasy like some pizza places. Their garlic knots and zeppoles are excellent as well. They put lots of powdered sugar on the zeppoles which make them the perfect end to a delicious meal. Another thing I love here is the balsamic salad dressing. I wish they sold bottles of it. Or if it's from a bottle, I wish I knew where to get it. :-) The take out counter is always running efficiently. There is always several people behind the counter awaiting the next customer. I appreciate that because you don't have to wait very long at all to get your order in. I love pasta night and chicken night, as they offer a special where you get salad, cheesecake, and coffee along with your main entree. The portions are huge. Even as a guy who can put away most meals, I find myself taking a few bites home from here on occasion. Would I recommend Mama's? I got turned on to mama's after tasting my son's leftovers. OMG best stuffed salmon. Needless to say, I had to go try the fresh version. Did not disappoint! They have special nights that are great, but tbh they include everything except the desert with their entrees anyway so you can't go wrong with the regular menu either. Went 2x b4 I reviewed and food was better 1st time, but 2nd time was still really good. There was a mishap and waiters collided on the way from the kitchen. Yes, our food. That happens, but I'm giving a start less because they served half the table while they redid the dishes that fell (as reported by server, we only heard the breaking glass). You know, I've taken my mother to many establishments for mothers' day over the years. I can truthfully say that this was the best mothers' day meal I've ever shared with my mother. The place was absolutely packed with people. I watched this one couple, who had no place to set their appetizer, take turns holding and eating the food. The wildest thing about it was that the couple looked ecstatic to be doing this. Anyways, I digress. I found out why this was the case later. The host seated us and we walked to the table. He seemed so excited to be working there and told me all about what the place means to the community. We ordered and received our food promptly. The service was stupendous. We were told there was a 25 minute wait...75 minutes later we were alerted our table was ready. We were seated in a section where every table was full, back to back , 8 people at some tables...no social distancing. I want to write an update for Mama's. We did our best during the pandemic to support them, ordering from them (take-out) very regularly. Each time we order the food is consistently excellent! They give you HUGE portions!! When we buy 2 dinners from them we have enough food for daysssss...... Favorites include: their pizzas, chicken marsala, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken executive, chicken parm, garlic knots, and ANY cheesecake they make...especially the Oreo cheesecake! My brother has introduced me to this restaurant a while back, I went there with my family for my birthday recently the food is always amazing the garlic knots are my favorite, however the night ended up not so amazing. I went to Mamas to have a great italian dinner. i was waiting for a waiter/waitress for a pretty long time. they weren't that busy so im not sure what happened. but i didn't think anything of it because i loved the food and atmosphere. When we got our food the pasta was very underdone and was still hard. The sauce i was also very watery and tasted as if it had no flavor. I know this restaurant is a staple within the community but I was a little disappointed. I guess many like the extremely large portions but I personally would prefer a normal/smaller sized portion meal with a cheaper price tag per plate. I thankfully chose one of these options with the baked ravioli ($21)- and still had leftovers- but there weren't many options to choose in that category as every plate can serve at least 2 ppl. That being said, my ravioli was good but it's not something I would come specifically back for. I was with 3 others and we all ordered sodas which were flat. The service was fine but based on the portions and high prices (most options are $30 + due to the enormous portions) not sure I'd return. read more

We all know Long Island has no shortage of pizza places and Italian restaurants but Mama's remains one to be reckoned with. The wait staff, the speedy service, the ambience, the portions, the AMAZING food, I can go on and on about how great this place is but I suggest you go see for yourself. A little pricey but you are sooo getting your moneys worth and won't be disappointed. My friend and I ordered a Caesar salad to start, then each ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and a rigatoni vodka to share, and ended the meal with the delicious chocolate molten cake. We wish we lived closer just so we could regularly stuff our face with the best pasta outside of Italy. But our waistline is thankful that we live over 2,300 miles away. We came on a Saturday night, not the best decision because they were packed! And reasonably so! But we were happy to wait for a table because we heard how good they were. We were well taken care of by our waiter, and even by some of the other waiters who weren't taking care of our table. They were friendly and helpful! We each ordered a pasta dish and the servings are INCREDIBLE! That meant midnight pasta snacking for all of us! A dream come true!!! Mama's. What can I say, a large menu selection with great food. I've been here probably 10+ times over the last few years. The food has always been great; never a problem. I've experienced a few issues with service however; some issues so bad that I remember them vividly 8+ years later. But their menu is price appropriately. Everything is served in large portions; their has never been a time where I haven't walked away with a doggy bag or two. But my largest complaint is them using their email mailing system to bribe people for reviews on google (see attached images). Like literally a model server for the entire universe. She was never pushy, but came by to our table at the PERFECT time ALWAYS. We all started with soup - If you are going to do apps, know that you should share the main course because plates are VERY big. I went with the tortellini and spinach soup, with a ton of fresh cheese. AMAZING. For the main course, I had the pasta with prosciutto and arugula. DELICIOUS. Pasta had the cutest shape I had ever seen. Wasn't too heavy, and came with fresh cheese and a creamy sauce. I left almost the entire plate because the soup was so filling, but it was indeed delicious. I also remembered that their Tiramisu is one of the best I've had, so I had to order one! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I've been here a few times but only had a sit down lunch and sit down dinner once each. The first time I thought the food was okay (lunch). But when I came here last Friday to celebrate my sister in laws birthday and have a late dinner it completely blew my mind. Everything was so delicious and our server Felix was awesome. Anything you wish for is probably on the menu. The short rib dishes are our family's favorite go-to items as well as the gnocchi. But everything from salads to soups to entrees to desserts is a good choice. There are combos for those who cannot decide on just one type of dish. The portions are large so often some of the meal does come home with us. I love pizza! I think thats something a lot of people have in common with me. So when you find a place that offers the best quality and priced right, then you have to take your hat off to them. It's right off Montauk Highway; it's also easy to spot with its larger then life marquee banner outside above the business. The place is huge, in fact it's a restaurant and pizzeria combo. When you come in you're greeted by a hostess that ask if you're dining in. I asked for pizza and she pointed around the corner. The counter is also large. They offer a lot of specialty slices. So when you finally decided on what you want, just give your order to the amazing staff. That's right! They were friendly and very personable. I enjoyed talking to them. They impressed me with how confident they were about the slices. I particularly fell in love with the buffalo slice. But nothing got my attention more then the shrimp pesto slice. I mean you can't go wrong with any slice but, the thick, crunchy, yet soft crust left me savoring every bite. I don't often mention the crust of a slice, but it was as equally good as the toppings above. I was so satisfied after eating. This place wins on so many levels! From their numerous topping varieties, quality cheeses, and giant slices, you only need to try one before you fall in love. One slice is enough for a meal, and a large pie will easily feed 6-8 hungry pizza lovers. I split two slices with a friend, trying their eggplant and BBQ chicken pizzas. The eggplant was more spare compared to the other pizza toppings on other pizzas, but what eggplant there was had a nice flavor that went well with the classic Italian seasonings used. The BBQ chicken pizza, on the other hand, was loaded with chicken, smothered in tangy BBQ sauce. Without a doubt, I plan on trying more delightful varieties of pizzas at Mama's. read more
