Was looking forward to Mamarracha after learning that it was a sister company with La Chunga and Ovejas Negras. The interior was beautiful with an interesting vine wall and a cool wooden interior. The menu was very interesting and appealing. We ordered the blood sausage rolls with black rice, the eggplant with miso, and the focaccia. The food here is the best! We went in on our first night in Seville! You should keep in mind before you go that they do take reservations but the kitchen does not open until 9 pm. We were in a rush to get to show at 10 but the staff was super accommodating and were fast with our food/service. I had their sangria and my husband had Vermut. My husband and I ordered the following items: 1. Peppers with Chipotle Mayonnaise - this is super good! I liked the chipotle mayonnaise as it made the dish stand out and be different than the other places that have this tapas dish 2. Papparacha- I personally did not like this dish that much. It is very heavy and way too cheesy and creamy. If you are into that stuff great, if not I would not recommend this dish despite the other reviews here as it makes you too full to enjoy the other tapas you will order! 3. Fresh local range chicken- this was by far the best item that we ordered! Not only was the chicken juicy, flavoral and not dry - it comes with a great sauce! You must try this 4. Mamaracha Burger - this burger is not bad as it comes with sweet potato fries. I have had better burgers in other places but overall not bad if you're in the mood for a tapas sized burger. 5. Beef tenderloin - this dish was good especially the sauce it comes with! I would highly recommend! Perfect end to a near perfect day in Seville. This place had it all: insanely good tapas, unique decor, and friendly service. Ate perhaps the best mussels I've ever had - the Thai curry broth was a fresh take on traditional white wine, butter and garlic. Magnificent flavors. Being that this is a Spain trip, we've been sampling patatas bravas almost everywhere we're been, and these tots were by far the best. The truffle corn risotto and beetroot salad with goat cheese were also creatively done and mouthwateringly good. There was nothing about this place I didn't like. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Seville. My friend and I frequent Mamarracha about once a month. Staff is very friendly and customer service is great (which to be honest is rare in Spain lol). The food is amazing and the tapas never disappoint me. They serve very simple dishes but the food is fresh and delicious. My favorite dishes are the Paparracha (must have!), Focaccia with iberian pork, Beetroot salad, Gnocchi, the skirt steak, and the sea bass. The wine selection is very good. Not necessarily cheap but on par price wise with many of the restaurants in Seville. Either way you'll enjoy a quality glass of wine for half the price of what it costs in the states. Tbh I'm not super blown away with their desserts. I enjoy them but I don't feel a strong desire to order any - I'd rather order another plate of Paparracha :) Also - the wait is LONG. They don't take reservations so get there early! This usually works for me because my stomach is still on American time and I like to eat dinner before the typical Spanish dinner time. read more

I feel like we must've gone to a different restaurant than everyone else. They are part of a big restaurant group - maybe they are tricking the algorithms? My husband and I got the pork - mostly charred and room temperature fat - it was okay at best. Overdone and I suspect sauced to cover the lack of flavor. They forgot about my son's meal (duck) and brought it out after a 20 minute additional wait after we got our food. And charged us for it! Overpriced. read more

Mamarracha is not just a tapas bar but more of a proper but casual dining experience with really interesting stuff on the menu. Friendly, helpful service and a great atmosphere with lots of Spanish visitors and locals - not just us tourists. First meal in Sevilla was the best one we had so far in Spain. Mamaracha perfected balance, quality and presentation while being a totally accessible, casual dining spot. We had so many dishes, all truly perfect - hanger steak, fries, whitefish, razor clams and eggplant in miso broth (my favorite). excellent sangria with a notable undertone of cinnamon. I dined here last night with a friend. First off, this was one of the best meals I have had in Europe yet. Truly, it was amazing. It is pretty popular so we had to put our names on the waiting list, but it only took about 20 minutes and it was worth it! We sat down and ordered some wine, I got a Rioja and my friend got a white wine. We ordered the Patatas, they are smothered in melted cheese, green onions and bacon. What more could you want?! They were amazing and a great size to share! Then we ordered the focaccia with truffles, mushrooms, melted cheese and arugula. This truly changed my life. I will be dreaming of this for many days to come. The truffle and melted cheese combo is always delicious but piled on top of a toasted piece of focaccia, you really can't go wrong! Finally, we ordered the roasted eggplant with miso and a pine nut vinaigrette. This was slightly out of left field, it had a lot of Asian influences but ended up being truly amazing! It is such a unique offering to find in Sevilla, I loved it! Upon asking for our check we were given test tube shots of limoncello, how cute! We had an amazing experience and will surely be coming back. The atmosphere and staff are quite lovely! And best of all, there are three restaurants that are all owned by the same company! This is a must try in Sevilla! Just ate here again last night and still delicious! They have updated their menu, I'm assuming based on the season. We had the focaccia with onions and cheese and burnt tomatoes. We also had the tempura vegetables--they were amazing! Seriously, try them. Then we ended with the risotto with corn, pecorino cheese and truffles. Excellent dinner. Read about in cnn and showed up at 830 to put our name on the list for 8p when the kitchen opened. We had the eggplant appetizer as the starter, roasted chicken and cod as mains with sweet potato and roasted peppers and two glasses of wine. Food and service was excellent. OMG....this place is to die for! From the Chimmichurri skirt steak, amazing burrata cheese with roasted tomatoes. The "paparracha" fries are amazing with thick cut bacon, melted cheese over scalloped type potatoes. Fantastic Sangria to boot! Only thing missing was their artichoke. Morcilla,veggies tempura, seared tuna, buey steak, and pretty much everything else on the menu. The guys in the kitchen are only matched by the waiting staff. Great food. Did not receive 5 stars because of the location, the grilled squid was perfectly cooked with an avocado sauce and squid ink chunks. Food was good, a modern tapas bar. We had the salmon tatiki and the special fries as appetisers, both tasted good. For the main we had Galician pork tenderloin with tomato sauce and melted cheese and the roasted prawns. The tenderloin was okay, the prawns pretty pricy (12$) for four prawns with no sides. Overall the food was good, staff not very attentive. There are definitely better places in Seville. read more

We were actually recommended to go to Ovejas Negras by our Air bnb host but it was already packed with an ongoing queue list so the restaurant told us to go to their other affiliated restaurant which was Mamarracha which is just across the street from that restaurant. I fell in love with their menu which is reasonably priced with sufficient portions. Had one too many Summer wines with the blood sausage topped with pumpkin purée (I'm not usually a fan of blood sausage but it was also stuffed with rice which helped with the texture), anchovies with compound butter (my fave, and simply done), and this grilled aubergine). We couldn't get enough of this place that we went back the next day for a quick bite before visiting the cathedral which is conveniently down the street. That we had only 45 mins so we ordered 2 summer wines 2 cañas and this delicious potatoes dish called Paparacha which had an alioli of some sort anyways it was filling enough for our viewing of the cathedral. Highly recommended. The staff is also so fun. read more

They serve modern fusion and the food was pretty good. We ordered the Thai salmon, calamari, eggplant which were heavily Asian influenced with miso paste, seaweed salad, sesame seeds etc), the peppers and burger. Service was hit and miss though, waiters were nice but our food took forever to come out that other tables that came after us left before us. We had to wait at least 30 minutes between some dishes, was asked if we were waiting for a dish that was already served, and if we wanted dessert after the second dish, I think because the waiter thought we were done with dinner as we had no food for a long time. When they brought us the bill together with some drinks in test tubes as gifts that was a nice touch maybe due to the food mix up, but as they did not explain what they drink is and we weren't sure after taking a sip either we left it. Despite the confusion we experienced which can happen anywhere, I would go back for the Thai salmon and calamari. Note that the kitchen only opens at 9pm but if you haven't book, there will be a queue so arrive early. read more

Came to Mamarracha last Monday night with a friend to check out the third of my favorite sister restaurants in Sevilla (La Chunga & Ovejas Negras are the other two). We waited for about 45 minutes due to the Spanish holiday but once we were seated the waiter was great and really attentive, service like that is often rare in Spain. We ordered the padron peppers (my favorite!), the burrata salad, the paparracha potatoes and the sweet potato. We weren't in the mood for a very heavy dinner so these tapas were perfect for our appetites! As a lactose sensitive person, the paparracha potatoes were way too covered in cheese sauce but if you like cheese, definitely order these as they were amazing and flavored just perfectly. The padron peppers were nice and salty and accompanied by a simple "Korean" alioli. I think the alioli could be a little bit spicier or more flavorful but otherwise these my favorite dish (even though 4,50 is a little steep compared to other places you can buy these). Overall, I highly recommend checking out Mamarracha if you have the chance! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is delicious. read more
