Stacked Eggplant was fantastic and beautifully presented.
    Amy A.

Fantastic meal at Mama Roma on quaint Main St. of Buckhannon. From the first smell as you enter, you know it will be delicious as garlic wafts through the air. Quickly seated in the cute dining room with original brick walls. Friendly service. Food was delicious! The pizza looked amazing yet we did not have. The salads were nice but the garlic rolls take the prize! Yum! Entrees were also excellent - one enjoyed Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and another the Stacked Eggplant which far exceeded expectations. Great presentation!Would hands down return!!! Oh, we also had the Peanut Butter Pie to go and certainly found it tasty also.

Chef Marcio made an amazing meal. We started with bruschetta for our appetizer and it was probably the best I've ever eaten. Then had salad with a wonderful house made balsamic vinaigrette. The kids had pepperoni pizza with a crust that was to die for and the marinara so light and flavorful. My daughter in law had the eggplant parmigiana and I the eggplant rollatini, both were superb! I highly recommend you come and try it. We finished with the tiramisu and lemon cello. Delicious!

    Wonderful overly stuffed Cannoli

Most of the the best dishes we ate were good: * The best garlic bread is different from others in that they are large rolls instead of Italian bread. A soft pillow roll loaded with garlic, which is absolutely delicious * Margarita Sicilian (Pan Pizza) with added pepperoni. What makes these pizzas so unique is the balsamic vinaigrette that is drizzled over the entire pizza * Another unusual but equally as good dish is the Hot Antipasto, with Spicy Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Meatball and Sausage in Garlic, Olive Oil, Extra Fresh Oregano, Piccata Sauce, w/ Calamari and Anchovies * Topping the meal off is an overly stuffed Cannoli with chocolate syrup poured over the top The only dish that was off at all was the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball where huge and the sauce was pretty good, but the pasta itself did not appear to be drained of water, which took away from the dish

    Garlic Rolls

I had a gift certificate so I tried out Mama Roma for the first time. The garlic rolls were soft and had plenty of garlic. The salad was good and came with more than enough house dressing. The last thing I tried was the Greek pizza, I would definitely order it again. It was some of the best pizza I've had in the area. The service was very polite and attentive. I will definitely be returning here in the future.

Food was so good I forgot to photograph it before we ate. We started with the eggplant stackers which is a take on caprese salad with a few rounds of lightly breaded and fries eggplant, with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. We got a large pizza, extra toasty, Mama's house special which was kind of like a supreme pizza with pepperoni and meatball slices, so good! Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful. She was attentive while the place was filling up. It seemed the after church favorite so really fills up around 1pm. We were visiting our son at WVWC and we're pleasantly surprised at this seeming family owned and operated Italian spot

Food was really great as well as service. The bruschetta was some of the best we've ever had. Cannoli was huge. They cut it in half for me and my husband so we could share equally. The picture shown is half a cannoli. It was stuffed full. Wings were delicious as well. Pizza was good.

Chicken Parm with Spaghetti and garlic bread. (Lunch Portion!)

Excellent Italian good and the lunch menu prices and very large portions of food. I had the chicken parm, which came with two pieces of chicken with red sauce and mozzarella on top, a large helping of spaghetti with it. You have a choice of a house salad and soup to start. I had the tortellini soup which was great. They also serve cinnabon style garlic bread which again was phenomenal. Can't beat $10.95 for all that. Check the pic

I was visiting family and drove down from Atlanta. Service is great. Folks were friendly. Got 2 Pizza for the house to go and 3 of my kids finished in record time and enjoyed it very much. We ordered the Cheese and Margarita large.

Veal parmigiana with side of spaghetti and garlic knots

My second visit to Mama Roma shows standards have remained just as high in quality of food and service. We were greeted seconds after entering. Restaurant was packed but they accommodated us quickly. Veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti, salad and garlic knots was delivered in a very reasonable time frame. Two tender pieces of veal the size of my hand for $18.00. This establishment is busy for a reason. It's good. Will return soon.

Rigatoni ala vodka with chicken and a large Stromboli. Bothe delicious and made fresh to order.

I talked into the meatball hoagie with a house salad with the house dressing. Can't wait to eat.... The house salad and Italian bread with soft butter were outstanding. By the number of ingredients, that salad was made with a lot of love. Waiting on the meatball hoagie.... The mixed peppers on the meatball with a large mound of melted mozzarella cheese. The sandwich was large enough that it was a struggle to get my mouth around it to take a bite and that's a good thing! The meatballs and red sauce were as good as ever. My sister had never been to Muriale's so she became an instant fan. After 8 years away this meal was great. Don't ever change and keep it classy. Thank you!

As we're temporarily home bound, a friend brought us delicious takeout from Muriale's. We shared two somewhat-similar and tasty entrees, (1) Eggplant Parmesan ($21) featuring lightly breaded and fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, house-made marinara sauce and (2) Veal Parmesan ($24), with lighted breaded and fried veal, fresh mozzarella, and house-made meat sauce. Both entrees were served with a side of spaghetti and tomato-based sauce, house salad, and garlic toast. Note that the house salad was excellent, consisting of fresh greens, onions, cheese, olives, tomatoes, pepperoni, and roasted red peppers. We chose the balsamic vinaigrette as our dressing. (Side salads in the Fairmont/Clarksburg area are often only iceberg lettuce and a shaving or two of carrots). Our initial thought was that the prices were a bit on the higher side. However, in seeing the high quality of the food, the generous portions, and the "extras" that were included (salad, garlic toast, etc.), we feel that it was a good value.

The salad was just way too much shredded lettuce and we weren't asked what kind of dressing we wanted, the waitress just brought some vinaigrette. The waitress kept telling us she had heart issues and that's why she's slow. Then she disappeared for awhile and when she reappeared, she told us she passed out in the kitchen. We got a cheese pizza, an Italian sausage hoagie with peppers, and fettuccini alfredo. The cheese pizza had almost no sauce and tasted like the Italian seasoning they sprinkled all over it and nothing else. The Italian sausage hoagie was a joke. Little tasteless gray balls of sausage and it was so sweet it tasted like they just poured sugar all over it instead of Parmesan. My kid liked the alfredo, but I didn't like the price for how much he got. Then at the end the waitress charged us for stuff we didn't order and the check just has numbers on it so without the menu in front of you it's hard to figure out where the error occurred. We were disappointed after a few locals said this place was good. **update: checked my checking account and discovered the waitress added a $15 tip on top of the incorrect charge without authorization. Contacted bank to dispute the charges

I mistakenly thought that I would be going to a Mexican restaurant but, to the contrary, Julio's is a fine dining ($$$) Italian restaurant. The buffet lunch was made-from-scratch and excellent. It featured perfectly fried thick-and-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches; white pasta fagioli soup; chicken pastina soup with ditalini pasta; garlic toast; and spicy marinated peppers (which I put on my sandwich). I've had pasta and fagioli soup many times over the years but none as good as this -- obviously made from a traditional recipe from a real Italian cook! Some also enjoyed mimosas or aperol spritzes. The party host also purchased small bottles of Prosecco wine from the restaurant for us to take home as party favors. The ambiance was very comfortable in the back room for our group of about 30 persons, with three tables of about ten ladies each. The food was served along the counter of the bar area. A waitress took and delivered our drinks. There was a fireplace in the room but it was not lit. I hope to return one day for a special occasion to try their dinner menu.

To make matters worse, I watched as an older couple walked in and were seated and the staff took there drink order right away At that point, it was clear that my presence was being ignored entirely. I understand that restaurants get busy, but this felt like an intentional lack of service. If the staff prioritizes certain guests over others, they should be upfront about it. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and won't be returning. I hope management takes customer service seriously because no one should feel invisible when dining out.
