Great location if you are in town for the Insane Asylum - which is why we popped in for lunch. The food was good - it did the job- but nothing memorable. When we asked for a table, the host was not accommodating (and rather rude) and made it awkward with our table for five request, telling us that we should have called ahead because they don't like to put tables together. (The place wasn't even packed which made it even more strange.) It's cute inside- perfect for casual lunches / dinners and they have a decent bar. read more

Every time we go to the town of Weston, all of the business owners recommend to try this bistro. Finally after our fourth visit to Weston, we got to try it out for dinner. Featuring a simple and straightforward menu, we ordered the pepper, bacon, burger, and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was crispy and not greasy, and it was paired nicely with some mashed potatoes. We also had the bistro fries which featured Parmesan and garlic. Classic bread and homemade butter was also served. Our server Suzy was quite attentive and even went out of her way to ask the Kitchen to split plates for us. I would recommend a visit to dine here for anyone in the area. They also have a children's menu. The daily soup always changes and they're also offer a full bar where they serve great cocktails there's also a great selection of local beer. read more

We stopped in after attending a conference nearby. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side salad and it was fantastic! My mom ordered the steak hoagie and enjoyed hers too. We got quick friendly service and it was a pretty space too. read more

Two stars for ambiance and service. Normally I wouldn't ding quite so hard on food but there was not one dish that we enjoyed. I started with a cup of the chicken soup which was very(!) bland. I salted and peppered it pretty heavily and it was just okay. My wife's black and blue burger was also very under seasoned on a thick bun. She ended up deconstructing it to make it passable. My chicken cordon bleu was just indescribably bad. The chicken patty was very tiny and very very rubbery. It as topped with a half to three-quarters of an inch of ham topped with Swiss. Sort of an inside out cordon bleu. The mash was also flavorless. Think of "champ" in Europe. A nice place but food was,sadly, terrible. read more

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. I had green salad with chicken, goat cheese, strawberries and pecans and my husband had cheeseburger. Dessert was berry crisp with ice cream. We will definitely return! read more

Love this restaurant. The food is amazing and our waitress, Susie was wonderful. We had their special Italian flatbread and the flatbread was made in house along with all their dinners and desserts. We had to split the flatbread because it was enough for two! We highly recommend Thyme Bistro! Can't wait to have dinner there! read more

We were visiting at Stonewall Jackson Resort and made reservations on Saturday night for 6. We are so glad we did! We had bang-bang shrimp for an appetizer. It was the right amount of sweet heat and the shrimp is nicely battered. There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the sirloin, trout (which was a special), and chicken cordon bleu. Everyone loved their meals. Steaks were more like filets and were prepared as ordered in nice coffee rub. The trout was lightly battered with cornmeal. Two big pieces with really tasty tartar sauce. The chicken was thick and juicy. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and we were told it used to be a hardware store. If looking for someone in Weston, go here! read more

Great drinks, great food, but it is far from inexpensive. I rate it $$$. Try their Bloody Mary for the best ever! Buffets on holidays are beyond great, but have a bunch of $$$. read more

I love this place. It's located directly across the street from my barber and whenever I get a cut, I time it so I can go here after it's done. The food is definitely a step above. Well cooked, and different from the usual bar/dinner variety food. The daily soups are always the highlight of the menu for me. Value is there. While it's slightly pricey, when you taste the food you know why. Staff are always friendly and happy to see you. Let me just start off by saying the food here is consistently excellent. The menu is fairly small, but so far, the food has only impressed. My wife and I have tried about half of the menu items... love the food. We stopped in for dinner this evening. The hostess seated us in front of the fireplace, and told us our waitress (the same waitress we've had every visit) would be right with us. The ambience in this place is very cozy and romantic. We sat and waited, and waited, and waited some more. They were not busy, maybe four tables of people. Half of those people had their food already. We waited and waited for so much as a glass of water...Didn't happen. We sat for 30 minutes while the waitress cleaned tables and ran around doing literally everything but wait on us. This has been our experience every single time we have come to eat here. Tonight was by far the worst, but this seems to be the way they operate. Excellent food, terrible service. We eventually got up, put our jackets on and walked out. They didn't even notice us leaving. This place is a little on the pricey side, and we're just not willing to spend our money and support a business that treats us like we're invisible. 30 minutes without any drinks or water being offered is absolutely unacceptable at ANY restaurant. As much as we enjoy the food here, we will not be coming back. We will take our business someplace where we are appreciated and treated like human human beings. read more

This is a great restaurant in downtown Weston. We ordered takeout bc we have a dog and did not want to leave him alone in the hotel room. We had been traveling for a few days on the road and great food was difficult to find along the way. Thyme Bistro looked promising to us and yes it was! We ordered a dinner of buttermilk battered chicken on mashed potato with spinach top off with a side salad (crispy, fresh) and also a large salad with grilled chicken, of which there was quite a lot. Everything was what we were hoping for - fresh and very delicious!!! We highly recommend Thyme Bistro. If you are looking for a great restaurant ambiance with excellent fresh and delicious food, you will not be disappointed. Wow! Just wow! The locals obviously know about this hidden gem (which doesn't even have a website). So reservations are definitely recommended, especially on weekends. But as much as I love West Virginia, I didn't expect to find a restaurant "in the middle of nowhere" (to quote my server) that outshines those in the Washington DC area. A relatively small menu, but all 3 courses I chose were delicious - especially the outstanding main (potato parmesan crusted salmon). The service was great, too. I was visiting stonewall resort and decided to get off property for dinner. This place did not disappoint! The food and the service were stellar. The folks at the table made such enthusiastic recommendations that we just gave in and got what they told us. Lol. I met my daughter for dinner. By chance I found Thyme on Yelp. I cannot say enough good things about Thyme. There is a reason they're dinning room filled up so quick after opening for dinner. It's that good. We had Bistro fries for appetizer. A nice elevated way to serve fries. For dinner I had the Winter Hen. This salad was simply amazing. The strawberries and vinaigrette set the salad off. My daughter had the cast iron Zitti. It was a mouthful of flavor. The homemade meatballs melt in your mouth. The waiter was super helpful and attentive. You can lose yourself in the ambiance. A nice way to relax and enjoy dinner and company and forget about the stresses of the day. For desert we had chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and a butter lemon cake. read more

We stopped fir lunch and got a burger as well as a steak sandwich. The had a delicious gnocchi tomato bisque for starters. The soup creamy and the pastas stayed in tact. Great dish. The burger was good...not average...not great. The steak sandwich...see picture...is interesting. It is baked inside a homemade bread. Melted cheese over it. You might use a firm and knife. It has great banana peppers that sadly overwhelm the steak...needs a bit more steak. The bread was terrific. Like a big yeast roll. I bet dinner is great. It's not that far off the exit. Just a couple miles. That means a lot as an exit in WV can take you on a 15 miler to get to a town. read more

I visited Weston about 10 years ago a d had one of the best meals ever at Thyme Bistro. I've had the opportunity to visit again more recently for work and always make sure to stop in to Thyme and enjoy a delicious dinner. Recently we visited with a large group and on short notice, accommodated our group of 10. We had a selection of pasta dishes, salmon, steak and meatball subs. Everything was delicious, and especially when served with the bistro fries. Make sure you opt for them when you can. Service was great, the ambiance is awesome, and the food as always is delicious. I have eaten there many times before with family and friends and enjoyed the experiences, BUT NOT THIS TIME; Had early reservations on a Saturday evening (5:00 PM) and was promptly informed that Thyme Bistro was already out of several entrées. In fact, they were out of both their Sirloin and filet mignon entrées. Surprised that a restaurant of this caliper would run of any of their main entrées a 1/3 of the way for the weekend, especially, when they have an amazing boutique Butcher only 5 miles away that can supply ANY beef that Thyme might need. Another surprising note is that the drinking water.... although cold, had so much chlorine that it smelled & tasted like it was from a swimming pool and we're informed by the very friendly waitress that there was no "bottled" water alternative, read more
