This place makes me lament that I' m not spending more time in Weston! Tucked away in the middle of Main Street, it was a rather welcoming sight away from the drizzling weather. The interior was sleek and had an upscale feel. We were greeted right away by the cheery hostess and quickly seated. For my lunch I ordered the Avocado BLT with side salad and Romano Garlic dressing. This was probably the BEST BLT I've had ever as all the ingredients were high quality from the artisan bread to the thick hearty cuts of bacon. The wheatberry bread was buttery yet perfectly toasted and the bacon had this sweet and smoky flavor to it. It was completed with fresh greens and a tomato and well dressed with avocado mayo. I completed my meal with a fresh side salad with their homemade unique dressing. The garlic taste of the dressing was mostly subtle and the dressing had a milky consistency. I really loved how it was conveniently located a short distance from the Trans Allegany Lunatic Asylum so we were able to have a stress free perfect day! read more

Dined here after being released from... I mean touring...the Lunacy Asylum. Nice ambiance and good food. We both had salads, which arrived in big bowls and contained all the right salady goodness. Bread for the table was DELICIOUS. Service was friendly and prompt. We'd go back! read more

Great food, service, and ambiance. I wish the menu and receipt were more itemized with prices. The fried buttermilk chicken breast sandwich was perfect. read more

This is the most unsuspectingly awesome restaurant I've found to date. After reading glowing Yelp reviews, we decided to head over on a rainy Tuesday for dinner after a long day of traveling. Parking is on the street, with plenty of spaces around, but 2 conveniently right out front. Meters stop after 5 (small town beauty). It's a quiet and quaint restaurant, but plenty of room for bigger parties. Decor had more effort than I expected, considering the outside doesn't really have much curb appeal. Waitress was great: polite, quick, gave good suggestions. The time between appetizers, dinners and dessert was a good pace. No dawdling, but we didn't ever feel like we were being pushed out the door. The menu is a one-page new American, with options for everyone. We ended up going for the Crab in the Cage appetizer for one entree based on suggestion. This dish is creative and tasty: friend noodles incasing what's essentially crab-cake meatballs over a light mustard sauce. I've been to restaurants up and down Maryland, home of the blue crab, and I have never seen a take on the standard crab cake as playful and new as this one. I went with the Steak over potatoes and chorizo (the exact description is alluding me). I asked for Medium Rare, and that's what I got! Presentation was nice, and it was a filling meal. Comes with house salad or soup, and I chose the soup which was Italian Sausage and Lentil. Tasty and comforting on a dreary day. This meal was easily one our favorites we've ever had, and I really never expected it from such a tucked-away restaurant in West Virginia. Bonus Points for a staff member turning on light jazz JUST as I was thinking it was a little too quiet. Definitely helped the vibe! read more

My husband grew up here and we are moving back soon and I wanted to try this place for lunch. It was delicious! My favorite was the white chicken chili but the BLTA (BLT with Avocado) and the spicy pig sandwiches were also very tasty. The white chocolate lemon raspberry butter cake sounds like it would be too many flavors but it was surprisingly simple and hard to describe but also delicious. We will definitely be back to support this local business! read more

Worth every single penny! Absolutely delicious! Quiet relaxed atmosphere, and prompt friendly service. Cannot recommend enough.

There is nothing I can complain about. The establishment is adorable, our server, Jennifer, was delightful, the food was delicious and the beer we had, Frost Notch - a locally brewed beer, was just over the top. read more

Absolutely amazing food and great service. Would definitely come again. Probably the best food in town honestly. And it's a short drive from The resort. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Everything on the menu is desirable. I ordered the chicken and risotto dish. It was very filling and the rissoto was the perfect creamy texture. There's also a waitress/bartender on the weekends who really knows her libations. Her mixology skills are amazing. She drives in from Morgantown to work there, her drive is worth it ( sorry I forget her name). My guests had two different burgers which were both delicious. There was no room for dessert, but the options were yummy. I just wish the pricing fit the buget of more people who live in town. I want everyone to be able to experience this fine dining establishment in a tiny WV town. Maybe host a "Local night". Those who live in Weston receive 10% off every Tuesday? Just a thought read more

We had lunch and dinner here after visiting the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Museum. Just a fun little bistro which frankly was surprising in that small town. Nice variety of menu options and an attentive staff. Highly recommended read more

While in town for work, a group of colleagues and I decided to try the Thyme Bistro and are glad we did! The Bistro has a cozy feel as soon as you walk in the front door. I started with a house salad and ordered the smokehouse wrap for my lunch entree. The waitress was friendly, the food came quickly even with a decent amount of full tables and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. read more

If I could give this restaurant six stars, I would! We were spending the night in Weston, WV and were looking for something other than fast food. So we looked up recommendations and stumbled onto Thyme Bistro. I never expected to find this quality of food and service in the humble little town of Weston. Sarah our server was friendly, informative and just the right amount of attentiveness. She would make BIG bucks in one of our fine dining restaurants back home in Naples, Florida. As soon as we were seated, Geoff the co-owner and head chef greeted us and asked if we ate shellfish. We said "yes" and he said he was working on something special and would be back with an appetizer. The menu was small but had a wide variety of offerings - something for any taste. Just as we decided on our entree's Geoff showed up with a beautiful plate of two deep fried crab stuffed zucchini blossoms. AMAZING! We also learned that Geoff and co-owner and chef Dwayne, source almost everything locally, especially the vegetables and fruit. My wife ordered chicken marsala with baby portobello mushrooms on fettuccini. I ordered a shrimp scampi style dish with Meyer lemon and butter sauce on angel hair pasta. Both were exceptional. I'll drive out of my way to eat here anytime I'm within a hundred miles. read more

A great little gem in the heart of Weston, WV. Nice folks, delicious food. Worth a stop for a bite or libation. Cheers!

Group of 8 went for dinner. Seating was prompt but it stopped there. Drink service was slow. I asked what beers were available, as there was no list. Server had no idea what was available so asked me what I wanted. I mentioned 6 beers, server said had no idea if they had them. I gave up and had iced tea. Food delivery was slow. One of the meals arrived cold. They need to regroup and retrain. read more

My wife and I stopped in Weston for the night on our way back from Tennessee. After looking on Yelp for a place for dinner we settled on Thyme Bistro. What a fortuitous decision! A great little place downtown with some of the best food we had on our trip. Tomato bisque was superb, I had a pot roast over ravioli dish the chef had just created that night that was absolutely delicious! My wife raved about the chicken dish she had. Very nice wine and liquor selection along with locally brewed beers. Can't say enough good things about Thyme Bistro, highly recommend! read more

The food is absolutely delicious here. Quiet atmosphere with amazing customer service. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and healthy portion sizes. You will not leave hungry. We had a large party and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or staying at the Stonewall Resort. The service was prompt and prices were reasonable. What more could you ask for? read more

Wonderful time. Great service by Nickie. Had a shrimp boil and perfect chocolate dessert

Rude, slow and a misleading menu. We stopped by here for lunch after touring the asylum but we should have keep going. Granted it was 2:30 but lunch was served until 3pm and I would expect a modicum of service. Instead, we were served by an unfriendly decidedly uninterested woman who obviously didn't want customers bothering her. I ordered the BLTA (for avocado). With equal billing, one would think the sandwich would contain slices of avocado. One would be wrong. When I asked the server this, she said it was avocado mayonnaise. Oh. Well, the mayonnaise had NO hint of an avocado on either taste or color so forgive me if I think she flat out lied. My son ordered a sandwich called spicy pig. It was a plain Han with melted cheese. Absolutely nothing spicy about it except the name. Luckily, my husband actually liked what he ordered, so they got one sandwich right. Avoid if possible read more

Quaint setting. Welcoming and tastefully decorated. Our server, Kyle, was wonderful. The specials sounded great but we had our eyes set on others things. Nice variety of menu items, not too many and we were not disappointed. We had their Shrimp Judith and Greek pizza. The shrimp was cooked well (and we are from South Carolina and used to fresh seafood!) Fresh ingredients on the pizza. Their house dressing was superb. Highly recommend. If we are back this way again we will stop in! read more

Don't say " take your time" at this restaurant because you may never get your food. My hubby and I chose the Thyme Bistro in Weston, WV this last Friday nite. We had reservations for 8:15 but sat at the bar because no came to sit us after waiting 10 minutes. That was a short wait though. We ordered the special , lobster Mac and cheese, crab appetizer and a bowl of soup. One hour and 30 minutes later we were standing up to leave when our food arrived. 90 minutes waiting for food to eat while the restaurant employees are cleaning up since they closed at 9 pm. The food tasted good but by that time we were so hungry I'm not sure if the flavor. The Mac and cheese started off great with the first 2 tastes having lobster in them but after that is was hit and miss to find any more lobster. read more

Geoff and the gang do a great job at Thyme Bistro. They bring a slight touch of big city food to a small town in the West Virginia hills. The lunch menu consists of daily homemade soups, fresh salads, and burgers/wraps of your choice. They run a daily special that usually adds a bit of flair and flavor that's not available on regular menu. Great place to have quick lunch or if your just passing through the area. Deff worth the 3 mile drive into town. read more

Adorable little spot. We arrived less than an hour before closing time and our waiter, Kyle, was great. The Bistro Fries are good-- can't really go wrong with them. I had a spicy pork stew and the tortellini. The stew was yummy and the tortellini was fine. I probably would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't had the stew and appetizer. Husband got a cheeseburger and fries. He said it was really good. The beers were cold and the service was good! Kyle seemed to have several tables and was still attentive. read more

We enjoyed our meal here, but please note the times on Yelp were not accurate. They didn't open until 5:00 pm (on a Wednesday). We had to go back a few times because they didn't have their times listed in the door either. This was one of the few sit down eateries in the area. The restaurant was clean, the staff was very friendly and took excellent care of us. The food was good, but very heavy on the garlic from the bread all they way to the main course. The prices were higher than expected for the food and the area. We enjoyed our visit and again, the staff was excellent at taking care of us. read more

Yes the best in the area for food. I've had almost everything on the menu , it's all tasty. Not a five because service is hit and miss and presentation just average. Tip. Try the bistro fries read more

Don't let the smallish menu deter you. The three people in my party each ordered something different & we were all pleased. As a vegetarian and a big salad fan, I appreciated the creativity shown in the dinner salads: apple slices, pecan granola, and apple-butter vinegarette are things that you don't get everywhere. Plus the decor was very homey and cozy. If you're in Weston or attending a conference at Stonewall Jackson, Thyme is well worth your time. read more

We were checking out this sleepy town on a mini road trip and I'm so glad we popped into Thyme for dinner. Our waitress was blonde and super friendly. She was chatting with us not only about the menu but about the town and was just really engaging and helpful. It must have been homecoming because there were a lot of young girls in dresses, even so the service was timely and attentive. The food was so flavorful and just made you feel warm and content after each bite. I had the Mushroom risotto and added a salmon topper (chicken was the other option). The mushrooms they used were so tender and buttery. The risotto was creamy and just the right bit cheesy. The seasoning was great and the food was delicious and filling. It gave the sense of being homemade, that time and attention went into each dish. Some of the breweries in town are nice but as far as food I wouldn't have any interest in eating somewhere other than Thyme the next time I visit Weston. read more

Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Loved the food and had an amazing time. Went back for seconds the next day. Good red wine selection.

They would have gotten 5 stars but they don't have any vegetarian options on their dinner menu. They did accommodate me and make a vegetarian quesadilla, which is on their lunch menu, which I appreciated. Food was good; service was good; but not everyone eats meat. read more

I stopped in for a higher end dinner at the bar on a business trip. The place looked very nice as did the food. I waited 15 mins was given a menu by an overwhelm bartender. She never came back. There was a couple that was waiting much longer than me sitting next to me at the bar. They were understaffed and overwhelmed on a Wednesday? I felt pity for the large party coming in after I walked out. Maybe just a bad night for them but I just ran out of patience. read more

You have to try the bistro fries! The food is amazing and the owners are great people!

I attempted not once, but twice to make a reservation for an early dinner, on the day of the Christmas parade in Weston. The parade starts at 6:00, which means that people start lining the sidewalk and streets at or before 5:00. It only makes logical sense to eat, say, around 3:30, to allow time for a slow, leisurely meal, then go pick our spot on the sidewalk for watching the parade. But, nope. The restaurant simply wouldn't hear of it. No attempt to adjust for the fact that people will be viewing the parade or waiting for it to start after 5:00. The masses are not going to miss the parade, they will simply eat elsewhere, despite the idea that a dinner in a higher end restaurant such as Thyme Bistro can enhance the outing. It doesn't do much good, though, if we have to miss the parade that people are there to see in the first place. People's eating schedules do change when there are events such as this, and this restaurant needs to adapt and be flexible. Very rigid, very controlling. read more

Delicious food, great service and huge portions! We loved the cozy ambiance and will definitely be back!

My favorite restaurant in the town of weston. The food is well put together with quality ingredients. The prices are a little high for the area but are comparable to most sit-down restaurant chains, but with much better food. Lunch is probably the best deal here though. I'm a big fan of their sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta dishes, and especially the bistro fries. If you don't get anything else here, order some bistro fries (fries tossed with garlic, Parmesan, parsley and served with an aioli dipping sauce) as an appetizer or as an upgraded side with your meal. I don't think you will be disappointed. The restaurant is conveniently close to the free parking near the old asylum. read more

The people of Weston WV are so lucky to have a place like this! You could pick up the menu and drop it in any top dining city in the US and it would fit right in.
