An example of one of their cozy little private rooms. They also have cozy alcoves in the main section too.

It's about time I wrote a review for this place, as we've been here so many times over the past 12 years or so, and it really is one of our family's top favorite restaurants! The main reason we keep coming back? The consistently fantastic service! Every single time, we are greeted warmly, with cheerful smiling faces and genuine friendliness, not just politeness. They're not just reciting a script, they seem genuinely pleased to see you and interested in you, and they pay attention to every detail, and time everything just perfectly. We've gotten to know Kaitlyn now - she always recognizes and greets us warmly, and is so enthusiastic and fun. Even though she wasn't our server last night, she waved at us and said "hi" as she went by! :) Last night, we had Luca (Luka?) - not sure of the spelling. Such a wonderful friendly young man. We asked him for recommendations from the menu, and he really knew all the dishes well, and could describe to us in detail exactly what to expect. (At some restaurants, the wait staff don't seem to know their own menus that well!) Just like all the other servers, he was very attentive and friendly. At the end of the meal, when I ordered a latte, he apologized that their espresso machine wasn't working, and offered a regular coffee instead. But then, he went above and beyond and came back with something that he had hand made himself! (As he used to be a barista). It was the most delicious latte I think I've ever had! Such a nice gesture! The other main reason we keep coming back? The consistently excellent food! There's something for everyone it seems - even picky eaters. We feel confident bringing any friend or family member here, as we know we won't be disappointed. Last night was another fantastic evening here. My daughter and I both had one of the "Entree Specials" - the Blackened Salmon, served over a bed of fettuccine pasta with an amazing cheese sauce. (I don't remember the exact description from the menu, but it was absolutely delicious!) The salmon was juicy and tender, the blackened seasoning was so tasty, and it went so well with the cheesy, garlicky pasta sauce, and the pasta itself was very fresh and had a perfect texture. My daughter and I were "mmmm-ing" and "ahhhh-ing" the whole time! My son had the Scampi Mary, from the seafood section, and was very happy with it. My husband had the Veal Parmigiana and was very pleased with his choice. (I had a taste of his, and it was delicious too!) Two of our friends (more picky eaters!) simply had pepperoni pizzas, but they were very happy with them too. The soup of the day was tomato-basil - one of my favorite soups, and it was every bit as tasty as I'd hoped! At the end, we had 3 desserts, the carrot cake, the chocolate tartufo and the lemon sorbet - all very different but all very yummy. Also, we were glad we happened to be there on a Monday this time, so we took advantage of their "half price wine" Monday deal! We ordered a bottle of one of the most expensive red wines on the list (that we wouldn't normally get) - the Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon - and it really was delicious! We also always enjoy the fresh crusty bread and bruschetta sauce, olive oil, etc, that they serve at the beginning too. And the jugs of water are regularly refilled. We've been here for many birthdays, anniversaries & other special occasions, and we often bring out-of-town guests here, when they're staying with us. The combination of the great service, delicious food and warm atmosphere has always been so lovely and satisfying. We sometimes say, "oh let's try somewhere else for a change" but then often end up coming back here, knowing we can rely on this place to be just what we want! :)

How are the seafood options, namely the crimson snapper?

We have not tried the Snapper yet. The Walleye was very good, the Tilapia was good but potatoes a bit salty, Scampy Mary was very good and a very large serving, and the Scampi Fra Diavolo was very, very good, and quite spicy. From our experience,… Read more

We were staying at a hotel in Alsip for an event and needed a good place to eat. Needless to say,…read morethere was not a good restaurant in Alsip so we had to go to Oak Lawn for Francesca's on 95th! We had a great time, with great service and really good old fashioned Italian food!!! For our appetizer, we had the sausage and peppers. GAME CHANGER!!! Neither of us had eaten this classic Italian appetizer before and Francesca's version was a great introduction to this dish. Surprisingly, it was NOT the sausage that was the star of this presentation - it was the sauce and the peppers. The sauce was part top notch olive oil, part Italian seasonings and it was a wonderfully delicious background to each bite. The peppers (green, red & yellow) were perfectly cooked, luxuriously soft but still with a little crisp to them. Those peppers were perfectly cooked! I do think the sausage, while okay, was not up to the standard of the rest of this dish. For my main, I had the Linguini Alla Caruso - shrimp, garlic, olive oil with a basil-pine nut pesto sauce. It was very good, very good. Be warned though the sauce leans a little to the sour or harsh flavor. Not too bad, I certainly ate it up, but there was certainly a sharp taste every once in a while. My spouse had Dana's Bolognese. He was very happy with it! The overwhelming reaction to our main dishes was "holy crap" that's a lot of food! The dishes were as large as a coffee table and we NEVER could have eaten all that food no matter how long we sat there at dinner. Each dish was big enough to feed both of us and several people at nearby tables!!! But the best part of Francesca's on 95th was the service. Everyone was so friendly, so nice, hard working and willing to take care of our every need. Seriously, the staff worked their butts off and provided some of the best service I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Hats off to everyone from the hostess to the server to the bus people. You all really took care of us that evening. You will NOT walk away from Francesca's hungry! Is the food the best Italian I have ever had? Probably not but it is definitely solid and a great place to enjoy a good meal.

I was here well before the new owners took over, and I never cared to come back. Since then,…read morehowever, the new Vito and Nick's II is OUTSTANDING!!!!! First and foremost, the due is to their wonderful staff and managers! You just won't find anyone there that won't give you what you're looking for. They will do their best to make sure you have a great dining experience! They are all so incredibly nice, warming, and inviting people. They love conversation and laughter! They truly make you feel like you're at home. To Carrie, Stephanie and Stephanie (yes, there are two!), Diana, Naj, Karen, Isabelle (hope i spelled that right!), Manager Mike, owners Sally, Kim, John, and anyone I know I missed.....you all are doing fantastic! Thank you for always making me feel like its my first time here and and being outstanding! Secondly, the food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As the white girls say (of which I am not), I can't EVEN! seriously the food is AMAZING! Key notes: Salads; the best you'll get, and I promise you this! They're very fresh, crisp, and the CROUTONS.....THE CROUTONS....(DROOL).... Pizza: Very thin, but crispy, and super tasty! I like to dine in for it because frankly I think it's way better than carry out, but you wont be disappointed by flavor, regardless! Sandwiches: The Beef, the Meatball, Chicken Parm, the Eggplant Parm, Breaded steak, and even the Sausage or Combo, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!. Apps: Tomato Bread (well done), is just a YAAASSSSS!!!! Same for the garlic bread/w or w/o cheese. The Fried Mushrooms are plentiful, I'm pretty sure frozen, but the bounty is great! The fries and tots are a good route too.....may I suggest pizza style? Yes....yes I did, and I do (add a side of giardiniera). Now......let me tell you this; Their calzone, is one for the record books. YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE BETTER! (Thank you Zack!!!) It was flakey, puffy, and full of ingredients! (Albeit I only got pepperoni and garlic....and if you've never tried that combo, you have not lived!) I've had calzones numerous times but never had one like this! There was one place, I thought, was the place for a calzone tsht they labeled a "Panzerotti," but it does not compare to this! TRY IT!!! You will not be disappointed! The prices are as affordable as they can be, but I promise, if YOU personally think you're paying too much, then just remember you are paying for great quality! I can't and won't take that statement back. It's all encompassing here, and I only hope these people are here for years and years and years!
