My family wanted to stock up on fresh pasta before the recent snowstorm, and after I had purchased their fresh pasta during the Newport summer Farmers' Markets, we decided to take a trip to Tiverton and check out the brick n' mortar. The shop has ample parking outside- you won't be staying for long, as the inside consists of a counter, a freezer, a fridge, and a display case, all chock full of made to order pastas and frozen meals (love the chicken parm!). You'll be in and out quickly with high quality and affordable noshes in no time. The pasta can be easily frozen and stored to last, so stock up while you can! It's a small space, but the quality of the product is unmatched. We called ahead of time to ensure they had the fettuccine we were seeking, and the clerk was pleasant and professional both on the phone and in person. Until the Farmers' Markets restart in May, the Little Rhody Pasta Co.'s shop is fully worth a check out!

We went on Thursday and we were the only people in the store. When we walked in, there was a table that said bread, but there was no bread available. There was one cooler that had frozen raviolis and then another cooler that had fresh pastas in addition to fresh ready bake meals like chicken, veal parmesan and meatballs. I bought the spicy rigatoni, which was fresh and frozen prosciutto and cheese ravioli as they were not any fresh ravioli. The price I paid was pretty reasonable and comparable to the other store that I go to. My friend bought six meatballs, which were made of pork, beef, and veal with one package of frozen prosciutto raviolis. Her total came to about $30. I was so excited to try the prosciutto raviolis. Tonight, we followed the directions, even though we've made raviolis many times, but the raviolis split apart and the ones that didn't stuck together. There were 10 raviolis in the package I bought. They were very filling, I ended up eating about four of them, but didn't like the flavor. They were very smoky and tasted like bacon not prosciutto. I did like that they had an Narragansett Creamery ricotta in them though. Overall, I was disappointed with the taste and the quality of the raviolis. I'm glad that they have very good ratings and people like them because I always want to see a small local business succeed. The taste and consistency just wasn't for me. I'll stick with my other place as a ravioli are fresh and I've never had one thing from them that wasn't a 10.

Instead, you'll be doing weekly fresh pasta nights. Do you like wine? Definitely don't go here, because there's a great assortment, BOOM, you'll buy a bottle with your fresh pasta. I haven't had the raviolis because I'm not full on masochist (everyone says they'll change your life even though the owner insists she is more proud of the spaghetti) Speaking of the owner, I've caught her doing the dishes herself, how many owners do that? How humble, very demure. Not to say the staff isn't helpful and friendly because Tyler will help you pick out a bottle that is tall and skinny so you don't have guilt about finishing it in one night. Like I said, don't go here because you won't leave empty handed. There's also an infamous rumor that Anna Delvey frequents here-- who's to say?

No parking, no rest rooms, and nowhere to sit and eat, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the speed by which they made the sandwich. -- Italian Sandwich: A heavy beast of a sandwich with a lengthy ciabatta roll stuffed with sopressata, salami, capicola, hot capicola, mortadella with pistachios, asiago cheese, arugula, tomato, onion, seasoned oil, pickles, and hot peppers. --- All of the flavors came through and the meats seemed of very high-quality. The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. The only things holding them back from a 5 are the lack of parking, seating, and toilet.

The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!
