I go with my friends a lot because we don't have a car so we walk to places near them and we aren't allowed to go that far because we are still not an adult but as teenagers we can get money and still have good food it's usually hit or miss somedays it may be the good food others it's overly greasy and kinda taste gross I cant say I recommend or I don't but the workers are nice! I am just reviewing the takeout order that I bought. First Friday of Lent I wanted fish and chips w/ coleslaw. The fries were actually good not greasy and golden brown now as for the fried fish it was greasy, overcooked dark brown like maybe the fryolator oil hadn't been changed for a while and the coleslaw was terrible I couldn't get one bite down, I can't remember getting a order from them of such poor quality. read more

Ok so Minervas is a hit or miss depending who was working and what day or time you order but then they got sold so I was hoping for the best. Staff is nice but prices are a little. Ore expensive and the food issues stayed the same which is odd since it's new owners and all new staff but still a 3 star honor miss type of place. I order cheese pizza it was good, but super toasty almost burnt in the sides. I mean it was not bad but I rather not eat burnt pizza crust.

The food is good and plentiful. The only reason for a 4-star review is they only have like 3 tables so it's not good if you want to eat in with family. I go by myself for lunch and it's perfect. I don't what has happened to Minerva but I made my last order tonight. I ordered an Italian sub. The bread was stale, the cheese hard to find and the meat sliced so thickly it was hard to bite into and chew. Over the past year or so I've found the quality of the food up and down. Good food and friendly staff. A little cramped on the inside, but otherwise a pretty good experience. A little weird in that they have Frito Lay and Coke products, since Frito Lay is a Pepsi company, but that really doesn't have any effect on the experience and is more an observation. Ummm I love the food but the service sometimes really sucks! Like tonight I call And get hung up on the first time. I call back no apologies. Rude (excuse me pushy) man who doesn't seem to want to be bothered. I asked for a "spaghetti dinner." I got a two minute lecture about how they don't serve that "Spaghetti dinners. " Online they have a dinner category which states spaghetti dinners.... OK!! Then I Have to squeeze in that I'm paying with a card and that he needed to take down the number. He asked me how much I was tipping the driver . I said five NO "Oh that's great nothing! " Then before he's about to hang up on me, I said to him I would really like to have the total since this is on my business card just for my own personal reference he put me on hold comes back tells me the price I say thank you and he hangs up on me. Then the owners mom calls back because the card didn't go through. I told her what happened but if she was there working, I'm assuming that she heard him speak to me that way also I told her I had cash and that I used my card but I just didn't want to inconvenience them with a large bill. Also, I am assuming that the same person who answered the phone totaled up my order incorrectly and gave me the wrong total just to get me off the phone because I transferred just enough money onto my card to cover the purchase, so he was lying about that. I have ate here a few times.....delicious food. I just called to place a carry out order and the lady was having a hard time understanding me and snapped on me and was very rude. I felt so disrespected i just hung up....it's a shame because it's good food but that was just uncalled for so i will not be coming back. I wish i could give 0 stars. Wow. The ratings for this place is off the charts! Beyond wonderful everything. We ordered onion rings, linguica pizza, and the steak bomb pizza. All I can say is that my mouth is STILL watering! I grew up in fairhaven and minervas was always a favorite , just ordered a fried buff chix pizza , chunks of chicken way too big and the cheese was not fully melted , pizza crust was soggy , def not what it use to be , prob wont order here again read more

We ordered a bunch of food but that's not the point... one of things we ordered was a pepperoni pineapple and pickle pizza... yup you got that right... most people hate the idea but apparently they loved it because this was the most amazing pizza ever!!!! I've been going to Minervas since I was in a stroller, and there is something that still drives me to this place when I'm in the area. My favorite has to be the meatball sub, but the pizza's, steak bombs, and caesar salads are all great finds for a good lunch or early dinner. While you can sit and eat in there, my suggestions is to grab your meal and head to Fort Phoenix right down the street. This is one of the better pizza sub shops in the area, and I will not only continue to go here for the food, but the people behind the counters are always accommodating and helpful in making selections. read more

It's not too thick, it's not too thin...if you like your pizza with an in-between "baking sodaey" crunchy crust than this is your place. Their food is always so good. I always get a turkey sub with veggies, oil and vinegar. They pack it so full I can't really close the sub. It's always delicious. Their fried hot wings are to die for, and every salad and pizza I've had from there has been delicious as well. The staff is always nice and helpful.
