I ordered a lox and bagel with vegan cream cheese. The lox had a sweetness to it. This was different for me. I did like it. The bagel was stale. I should mention this was a take out order or I would have said something. I had the choice of fries, sweet potato fries or a side salad. I chose the fries. These were ok. Running errands on a Saturday & needed a quick healthy bite to eat. We love supporting local vegan restaurants. My husband went in to place our order. I initially wanted spinach broccoli empanada & lentil soup, unfortunately both were sold out. Also empanadas are made to order, so I declined ordering additional empanadas & ordered the broccoli soup. My husband ordered an açaí bowl. The restaurant was clean with good vibes. Searching up plant based spots in my area, I found this gem. I don't know how it hasn't come up in s search before, but boy am I glad it did! Any non-veg folks wanting to see why we make a fuss about veg food, this is the place to try. You will not miss out on "meat" here. Staff was warm, inviting and accommodating to my time crunch. The homemade cinnamon rolls in the front display were singing softly to me, but I couldn't indulge today. I also noticed homemade NY style bagels that looked amazing! There were homemade cookies, mini-pies, mini cheesecakes and even a few other goodies. For a small spot, they have a great selection that you can eat there, get to go, and even some grab and go meals and specialty drinks. I ordered the jackfruit sammie on pretzel bun, it was a flavor explosion and bun was toasted perfectly. I got the side salad for time saver since the fries are air fried to order and take a little while longer. The salad was so fresh, kale, spinach, carrot and tomato. Delicious! The staff advised that no fake meats are used here. Everything is made from scratch by them. This is really important to me when choosing vegan spots, so I was excited to hear this! This unforsaken year, as anyone can attest, is awkwardly enough to trickle down to my overwhelming dismay with the food that I had ordered today. Sounds overreaching but please stay with me.... Today, specifically, I heard news that made all my to-dos come to a violent hault, and I thought to myself "I just want to take a drive and eat something yummy, that is all I desire right now". I have been here plenty of times. I love their vegan fakin bacon wrap. I always get it in a sundried tomato wrap, and goat cheese to add. This time, I wanted to keep it healthy/vegan. I called ahead for pick-up. I ask for the vegan fakin bacon with GF wrap and vegan cheese. I never learn my lesson, and (almost) never check my food before I drive off. Half way home I notice it is not a "wrap" per-say but a flimsy "quesadilla". Before losing it, I take a bite first. It just made me more upset. Took a couple deep breaths and took another bite. I got home, pulled into my drive way and had a 10 minute hyperventilating melt down in my car. Look at any of their pictures on here with wraps and that is what I have always gotten, and expected. It was nothing that I expected, did not taste good, and skimpy on the ingredients. If I would have been warned that thats how it would have been prepared, I would have opted for something else. Between all the personal stuff going, then just desiring something simple and can't even have that fulfilled, I will conclude that I paid $15 for food that are now in the trash. This place is absolutely phenomenal. Nicole the owner is so warm and inviting and so so passionate about her full menu. She takes her time to explain how each item is prepared, their specific benefits, and their flavor profile. She generously gave me samples of the jackfruit, "salmon", and "ham". She also explained that everything is made in house like their nut milks, sea moss products, herbal elixirs and everything else on the menu. This place puts other vegan eateries to shame. One of my favorite on the go spots! Don't let the name fool you it's not really Juice Therapy but FOOD Therapy. Juice Therapy Cafe is a little hole in the wall located in a random spot but known by all. This place gets so packed during lunch time so make sure to order ahead or be prepared to wait in line. All the business people and nurses and students love to come here for a quick, healthy bite. They serve a lot of organic products with everything made fresh. Vegan and vegetarian friendly options but also meatatarians (I totally made that one up) too. Salads, bowls and wraps with large selection of smoothies and juices. My all time favorite is the Slow Joe on the tomato wrap. This warm, cheesy, spicy, goodness, comes vegan or vegetarian and melts right in your mouth. It almost feels like a black bean chili but with no meat. Truly delicious! I also love the Greek and avocado wrap. You can't go wrong with any of those to. I am fortunate to have several restaurants that serve "healthy" type of food in my neighborhood. Juice Therapy Cafe has a hippy dippy atmosphere and feels a bit more authentic. It serves many of the same items that the other places do: Juices, smoothies, wraps, salads, and soups. Juice Therapy, however, has some items that the others do not. I have enjoyed their Vegan Fakin Bacon Sandwich. Made with Tempeh, the sandwich has a nice texture and taste. The soups are excellent. My favorite by far is the Coconut Mushroom. Made with a vegetable broth base and coconut milk it is rich and flavorful (although with the coconut milk I am not sure it is too healthy). Today I ordered an old favorite, the Avocado Special: a whole avocado stuffed with quinoa and salad with house dressing. The dish is big and hearty. The quinoa is lacking in flavor but the greens are really nice and the house dressing (tasting like a miso) is awesome). If you are in the mood for some "green juice", Green Zing and Sweet Swamp really hit the spot! Everything is made fresh so sometimes there can be a bit of a wait. I did call about 10 minutes in advance today and my pick-up order was ready. Prices are fairly reasonable compared to the other similar places in the area. Plus you can get 7% back on Yelp! I only wish Juice Therapy had more hours. They close at 5pm daily and on Sundays. read more

We went to Mama Chea's Cafe on a recomendation from my best friends son. He had the Vegan Meatball Sub. It looked amazing. We get there and they didn't have the product so we opted for the $22.00 Jack Fruit Burger. We ordered and I went to use the restroom. Turns out, this public establishment, does not have bath rooms for customers, only employees (there were 3 of us in the store) how any human being can deny another human being the use of the facilities is beyond me and when confronted, she was nasty about it. The food was good, the service sucked. We won't go back. If I'm going to burn $22.00 for a burger (which took 20 to 30 minutes to prepare) we'll go to the restaurant 20 yards down the sidewalk, they'll let you use the restroom. read more

We start asking others that were here before us how long they had been waiting - too damn long! Service was cold, no smiling faces as before, and a huge wait. When I get my food I'm just ready to be out of there since there was also no seating. Tuna salad wrap was mixed pretty dry and very few chips were thrown in. I had some hummas on hand at home so I dipped it in. This last visit I had to try that avocado quinoa salad. Except the chick behind me ordered a smoothie - now I had to have one. I put in my order and wait. And wait. And wait. They need more help or figure how to multitask. Took about 20 minutes to get my food from ordering to it being in my hand. Took almost another 20 minutes to get my smoothie from the time I ordered it less than 2 minutes after the girl behind me ordered. But the Pitaya Smoothie was bomb AF and the salad was great! Food is 4 - ONLY because I've only had one occasion where I was pissed about the quality of food I received for the wait - service/wait is a 3! Chocolate Thin Mint, organic soy milk blended with rich chocolate pure mint, 20g chocolate whey protein and their "Burn Fat Burn" ($6.25) I also ordered the Homemade Hummus & Avocado Wrap, organic lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, carrots, red cabbage, red peppers with homemade vegan house dressing ($8.95). They make everything fresh. My drink came out first and it was pretty good. I would of liked more mint flavor. The wrap was HUGE!, it came with a side of tortilla chips. We came here for her birthday lunch and all 7 of us had the best time. The owners of the place were super accommodating and beyond helpful. Considering I make this exact drink at home for the cost of $1.10 each time I make it, I feel the price is a little extreme. I like finding healthy places like this to eat but I wish more owners would showcase that healthy food can be affordable to normal The juice was also bitter even though it had apples so I'm not sure but it tasted like the lime peel was left on when they juiced it and it was sour. Came in for a meeting and took advantage of the FREE WiFi! The gentlemen behind the register were nice and speedy. They got me all of the WiFi info while I waited and whipped up my smoothie in what felt like seconds! The seating area isn't huge, but it's big enough. They layout magazines on the table for you to read while you sip/eat. I was busy typing away on my keyboard, but they had a good selection of mags. I got the Banana Nut Blast - comes with banana, peanut butter and I want to say chocolate. I actually wanted a juice when I first came here, but opted for the shake when I read it on the menu. I ordered one of those swamp looking drinks called "Sweet Swamp". Based on its appearance I would of called it liquid mud, but after a small sip I didn't care for its color. It was delicious! HEALTHY on the DOT. Oh this place is a Californian's heaven! (Besides from the fact that they use Hass avocados ) it's a pretty small cafe with a decent sized menu. Their drinks definitely focus on the gym rat! They have pre and post work out shakes and protein shakes. I got myself a peach smoothie which was perfectly peachy. The workers are nice too!
