They took over 2 hours to deliver and when we called to cancel they kept putting on us hold for over 5 minutes then hang up. When we finally spoke to someone she was rude and as if we did something wrong. FYI we are the customer so have a little more sympathy. Customer service was awful. We asked for a refund or a partial refund and she just said there is nothing I can do. Train your staff on how to properly de-escalate a situation so the customer at the end is happy. I wanted to like this place, I actually did. For a while I ordered the pizza there because I thought it was the best pizza in Quincy and it is but... I've ordered Mama's to my house a couple times where my mama complained that the pizza was too cold. There were a couple other times where I ordered Mama's at work and the delivery took 90 minutes! Another time I called for delivery and the said that they didn't have a driver. These are just my experiences with Mama Bears. Delicious! .. Big step up from the previous franklin pizza establishment that was at this location. they were gving away free slices a month or two ago when they opened so I decide to finally give em a shot today. I was impressed. i got the appetizer sampler and everything was really good. the mozzarella sticks were thick, the poppers were cream cheese rather then cheddar but really good as well. the subs were big and fat and everything in the italian sub was very FRESH which is a good sign. I think they got there work cut out for them with franklins reputation but there off to a good start. Im leaning to a 5 star rating but Im gonna try there pizza first as they are a pizzeria. But Im at about 4.5 now based on what I got. Ill update my rating based on the pizza. I have been on the hunt for decent delivery in Quincy. The reviews were not promising especially with service but I had a completely different experience. I called on a Sunday for delivery 15 min before closing. They went over menu items with me and patiently took my order even with my cell service being in and out. Delivery came before expected. Food was packaged perfectly and nothing seemed rushed, it was all fresh and delicious. May seem silly but the salad dressing portions were huge! Which is huge for me, no one ever gives enough! The garlic bread here is amazing. Overall I was happy with my food- ordered delivery. The only complaint I have- the mozzarella sticks were pretty greasy and heavy, and didn't have much flavor. Tonight was my first experience with Mama Bear's Pizzeria. My partner and I haven't had great luck with local pizza places in Quincy, however, this place pleasantly replaced said lack of luck with a solid experience. We ordered the Grandma Bear Pizza, which was heavy with ingredients with all around consistently good bites. My only critical/critique is many of their pizzas appear similar in flavor profile, using onions and peppers on the majority of their pies. With that said, it doesn't discourage me from trying their other pizzas, calzones, etc. I recommend giving this place a try if you're looking to break away from the chain pizzas at least once. read more

But she said they open at 1,When I called I told her that they sent me a raw pizza and it wasn't cheese or pepperoni pizza and that it was really sloppy she said that she made the pizza and that she didn't send it " like that" luckily I recorded the Catastrophe of a pizza the sent because I could not believe it. I told her that I threw the pizza away one because I stayed at an air bnb which I didn't have a place to store the food and no one actually just lets pizza sit in a bed room. I have been in the restaurant business for 30 plus years now. I intimately know what good customer service looks like and I know how to run a successful business. Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect and lack of courtesy from someone in this business. I ordered chicken tenders with all the sauces on the side for my granddaughters dinner. Instead I got an order of chicken tenders doused in Flaming hot sauce. I got the lazy bear calzone which was very good, and a slice of the Oreo mousse cake for my husband which he hasn't had yet but it looks great. Many of these one-star reviews are ridiculous, and most likely based on a single (and exaggerated, no doubt) experience. My family uses Mama Bear's quite often, and the food is NOT terrible at all. In fact, it's pretty good. Compared to many of the pizza shops in this area, Mama Bear's is hands-down, a much better place to order from. They are always pleasant on the phone, and their delivery drivers are exceptionally friendly. As far as the food goes, you're not going to get larger portions from their competitors (I get a chicken cutlet sub from Mama Bear's every so often, and there's so much chicken in it, that the stuff falls out of the sub, and the chicken tastes good. Their pizza actually has a flavor that isn't just grease (can you imagine that?). My wife ordered a salad from them once, and they give you enough to make three. Is there better food in the city? Of course (and you'll pay an arm and a leg for it, as well). Is Mama Bear's the best place in Quincy? No, probably not. Is it the worst? No way! Give them a shot, and judge for yourself. read more

I've been looking to find a decent place to eat in Quincy since I'm tired of going to Wendy's. I've tried going to Mondi's in Quincy a couple times but looks like they are closed on Sundays. I received a flyer from Mama Bear's in the mail and decided to try it. This is my third time going there and so far, I've been satisfied with everything I've ordered. I've tried the chicken parm with ziti, the grilled chicken club with onion rings, and the turkey club with fries. I've driven by this place alot but had never noticed it before. I think I've found a hidden jewel in Quincy! I'm looking to try some other of their menu items but it looks like you can't go wrong at this place.
