My entire household orders from Mama Bear's ALL the time. Mama Bear herself is super cool, too, and has never been anything but friendly to us when we call ahead or pop by on the way home to order. She's a godsend for folks who work late like we do. All their pizzas melt in your mouth - they've got "classic" pizzas with adorable bear-themed names plus a handful of unique pizzas, including some vegan ones (try the "Sante Fe", it's so good). Burgers are fresh and flavorful as hell, and their chicken tenders with sauce are pretty bomb, too. For sides/appetizers, my personal fave is their jalepeno poppers. Definitely recommend! read more

A few notes on this location: They also advertise under two other names: "Vegan R' Us" and "Plant Based R Us" (considered sisters to Mama Bear). All 3 are the same address but the outside and inside of the restaurant have no sign or indication that they are anything other than Mama Bear's We ordered a vegan calzone, vegan pizza, and vegan cheesy breadsticks. Based on other reviews, the presentation was much better than expected! The calzone wasn't your typical calzone, but was packed with cheese. All of the food that we tried was good. I found the pizza and calzone to be lacking a bit of flavor but it hit the spot. Regardless of taste, I'm always greatful to find a local vegan place and I'm sure we will return in the future. The inside is somewhat uninviting. We had intended on eating there but decided to take it to go. There are about 4 tables to sit and eat; the inside has the feel of a typical pizza shop. I imagine take out and delivery are more common at this restaurant. Our order did take longer than expected. Thankfully we ordered ahead. Asked for specifics in my menu. When I called I was greeeted by an angry wine with a raised voice. I tried calling repeatedly, only to find that my calls were ignored. I had to take an Uber, due to my disability to confront the so-called owner. She instructed her employee not to talk to me regarding the incident. She justified her "food", which was inedible! After actually seeing the establishment, it was not of the cleanest of states after just opened an hour ago. I am appalled and bothered by her behavior! This is the second time we have ordered from Mama Bear's. The first time, our delivery order showed up an hour late. This time, we had a large order placed online that was "forgotten about because the printer ran out of paper." The young woman behind the counter was arguing with some other customer on the phone about the status of a refund for 10 mins while I waited to pick it up. Then, they finally realized that because the order was not printed that it was forgotten about. Based on what I saw and the feedback from others, it is clear this place has operational problems. So this is a rare find here for late night eats! If you live in Quincy you know it's hard to get late food! Long lines at Wendy's and McDonald's are the norm and many businesses close up early. I love this place, I order here all the time. Great buffalo chicken calzone. Fries are come crispy and delivery usually comes pretty fast. The pizza is good, seasoned crust that's sets it aside from the rest of the basic pizza in Quincy. Can't ask for much more. Sometimes they do forget extra sauces when you order online. The spicy fries weren't cooked and the oven-baked chicken was undercooked. The disturbing thing, was how aggressive, hostile, and rude the OWNER herself was being. Instead of providing proper customer service or being accommodating, she quickly became agitated, she was insistent she cooked the food properly, told me I was entitled to my own opinion, and that I just frustrated by delivery time. The pizza sucked. Open till 3 am with a huge menu. There are really a lot of options. I would not recommend the pizza but I would try other things on the menu. It was just drowned in cheese. We were told on the phone that there were 6 deliveries ahead of us but we still got our food in about 45 minutes time. The buffalo chicken calzone was honestly one of the best i've had. It was a true buffalo flavor and they give you a large size of creamy blue cheese. I tried the pepperoni pizza and i was very happy with the flavors. It's too bad their service is so awful here because the pizza wasn't bad (at least the half of the pizza the made correctly). Ordered the Lazy Bear pizza (steak peppers and onions) via an online ordering system and wrote "1/2 just cheese please." Pizza shows up and I open it up and it has steak pepper onion on the whole thing, one half has NO cheese (but everything else). Frustrated I call. Woman says I said "1/2 cheese." I said I was 99% sure I said 1/2 JUST cheese (I checked the app after the call and I did say 1/2 just cheese). We go back and forth about what my note might have said and what it meant and finally I say, "ma'am I wasn't calling to fight- I was calling to let you know you made a mistake on my pizza."
