We were directed to Malone's Collision by the insurance company as they were a preferred vendor. Customer service was difficult, and they seemed more interested in servicing their in-house insurance business over walk in business. Repairs were made to the passenger side front fender and passenger doors. The hood was not damaged in the collision however, they painted it to blend the paint. The clear coat on the hood is oxidizing so we decided to take it in to utilize the Lifetime Guarantee Malones offered. Unfortunately, we were told it was not covered and turned away with an estimate if we wanted to pay to have it done. The roof and rest of the car has the original paint and is showing no signs of wear. This indicates to me the paint job was inadequate as its not standing up to even the original paint on the car. Its very disappointing they don't stand by their lifetime guarantee. I would be careful in choosing Malones and shop around! read more

I was very dissatisfied with what I had to go through. I had called and made an appointment to use my car every day for work I work out of my vehicle. I was never told that I would have to leave it there I was willing to wait but there's no waiting to be had. I was told it would have to be there all day. If they had told me I had a time I would've prepared myself. They did manage to look at it the same day. I was told by another company that the frame need to be adjusted. That's what I came in there for But the owner took me under the car and said he was not a mechanic but all these different issues need to be fixed. That they do do not do that kind of work. So I would have to take it somewhere else and get all these issues fixed but he was not a mechanic. So he printed me out a list of wrecking yards I could go to to go find parts. But I didn't even know what the parts were. so he emailed me a list of parts that I could find for my car. It also had an estimate of how much all the parts would cost to put in which was 3000+ dollars. But he said they don't do that kind of work he is not Mechanic. pretty much the only thing he did was his mechanic measured the frame and said there was nothing wrong but there was all these other things wrong but he wasn't a mechanic but I needed to go else where to fix them because they don't do that there. so I was charged $240 for them measuring my frame that there was nothing wrong with. I was very disappointed in the whole procedure. I will never take my car there again. read more

READ THIS! Came to Malone's collision repair after reading the positive yelp reviews. I feel a little disappointed on the service I received. I don't think they managed their time wisely, there were A LOT of delays with my car and it was very inconvenient for me to find out I wasn't getting my car when they said it would be ready. First they said about 2 weeks. 2 weeks turned into 3 I called to get a specific day They said Wednesday at 5:30 which is strange since that's when they CLOSE. So on Wednesday, One hour before they were about to close, they call me to let me know it won't be ready until tomorrow morning at 11am. Thursday morning 20 minutes until 11am, I'm heading out to pick up my car when I get a call from Malone's Collision Repair they let me know its not ready, they don't know when it'll be ready but they will give me a call in a few hours. That's all they said! They are very inconsistent with not only time but with pricing as well. I know labor/costs fluctuate but this was just ridiculous. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. STAY. AWAY. (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) I brought my car here because my insurance company is affiliated with them and I was supposed to save $100 on the co-pay. I also rented a vehicle here because it was convenient, also through my insurance company. When I picked the vehicle, I noted that there were footprints (use your imagination) on the ceiling and that there was a distinct and unpleasant odor in the car. Since it was about a 5 day deal for me, I noted it to lady who did the paperwork and was on my way. About 10 days later, I picked up my car and the BS began. First: My car would not start and they needed to jump start it. Apparently, no one checked my battery. Second:The mileage on my car had increased by about 300 miles, so someone was using my car, because it doesn't take a 300 mile journey to determine if a car is working. Third: Once I got home, I noticed that the mirror adjustment was not working. I had to drive all the way back to Malone's to get it repaired. This doesn't say much for their quality control or caring about customers time. Fourth: When I was paying, they would not accept my personal check for more than $250, so I had to pay the rest in cash. Not very convenient and pointing to the sign on the desk and telling me it is policy, does not ameliorate the fact that they put the burden on the customer to find out. It was really very silly, since they did take the check from my insurance company for over $2,000. Finally, the worst experience I had occured later. When I returned the rental car, I asked to have someone inspect the car. Juan told me that it was all good and that If I had filled the tank, I was good. I stated that I had in fact filled the tank with gas and asked that he inspect again, but to no avail. A month later, I got a $100 charged from Hertz on my credit card for cleaning the vehicle. Huh? The vehicle was cleaner when I brought it in than when I picked it up! Garage kept and wiped down every day. I am 62 years old and retired, I have nothing better to do. Malone's acts as the intermediary for Hertz. They do all the inspections and paperwork, plus the contract is between my Insurance Company and Hertz. But for some reason, I was being charged for "CLEANING" a vehicle that I did not dirty? I don't know what happened to the vehicle between the time I dropped it off and it got back to Hertz. No one called to discuss any issues with the vehicle. But, they just decide to charge my credit card fro $100? Unacceptable. The only reason they had my card number was their claim that if I failed t return the car full with gas, they would have to charge me for it. So, to say the least, I have lost my trust in this company. When I called, I got this fellow named Manny who tried to call Hertz, but with no success. I have nothing left that I can do and no way to express my displeasure, except for this yelp review. So for those of you considering this company, please make sure that you take my warning seriously. So far, no one has called me to apologize or refund my $100. This is a despicable way to treat customers, and I hope that they discontinue doing so and concentrate on building trust in the community. read more

DONT GO TO MALONES!!!! This place isn't even worth the 1 star. Took my vehicle to them last year to have some body work done on it due to an accident and my insurance company told me this was the best place to go. So I took it in and waited and waited and of course never received a call from them. I had to call them to ask them what was going on with my car. So finally they call and tell me it was ready so I go to pick it up. And then I get home and noticed that the bumper wasn't on the right way. And it had a big scratch on the passenger side door due to them not putting a clip on the right way inside the fender and the door kept clicking and scratching when I opened the door. So I ended up having to take my car back on 3 different occasions to get the work done right. Now fast forward to yesterday, my wife had run over something and I had no choice but to take it back to Malone's because they were the only ones who could get me in the fastest. So I go in there to get a rental car and to confirm the appointment that my insurance agent had made with them for Tuesday morning to drop my car off and I sit in there for 30 minutes past the appointment time for the rental. And then a lady comes up to me and my wife telling me that since I wasn't satisfied with their work the last time that they were refusing service to us, but had a car for us only we had to go to a different rental office because they had no more contracts on hand. So my wife asked the lady so because we weren't satisfied with your work you are refusing service to us? And they blamed it on the fact that my because my insurance company got involved with them not doing the correct work last time, they wouldn't be doing work for us anymore. So what Malone's couldn't of told me last year that they wouldn't be doing work for us anymore?!?! And they couldn't tell my agent that over the phone before we headed over there? I mean they have no customer service skills at all and show no professional skills at all. Just a waste of time. And come to find out, the work we need done this time they would have to sub-contract out anyway!!!))( read more

I had dropped off my sister to get her car and while i was there i thought " hey i might as well get a quote for my car" because someone did a hit and run and scratched my paint on my rear bumper to the point where it is peeling/flaking off as soon as i walk in theres a female receptionist (around maybe her early 40s) and tells me what i want and i explained i would like a quote my how much a repair would cost me. She immediately says "its better to do it through your insurance." I know damn well that might be the case but i at least cant get a quote? You cant send someone to give me a price range?? If im willing to pay my money is as good as any one elses right? After something like that you lose interest in doing business with someone. I wont give my hard earn money to someone who is rude. I was in a fender-bender, and my brother suggested Malone's Collision. I had work done by Malone's years ago when he was on Market St and was happy with the work, so I decided to use their services again. My vehicle is over 11 years old, the repair work, paint job and finish was flawless! A few weeks later, my gas tank door fell off (it was near the collision site of the vehicle), so I took it in and Juan said they would take care of it, and within a week it was perfect again! I've had to bring my car to Malone's Collision on a couple different occasions. Each time I've had a pleasant experience. The staff there are always so friendly and the waiting area is very nice. Every time I got my car back, it actually looked better than before it was damaged! They washed. waxed. vacuumed and cleaned inside and out. Not only that, they sent me text messages to update me on the status of my car. They also had a rental waiting for me! I recently purchased a new car and had the misfortune of running into a bundle of barbed-wire that fell off a truck. Malone's was one of the recommended shops by my insurance company. I looked at some reviews, and it seemed like it would be a clean and reputable place to take my car. I had all my documentation sent to them, and stopped by to have the car looked at. I needed a new bumper, new headlight, and some painting done to the car. I told the person that looked at the car that I wanted to parts ordered and received before i dropped my car off. They told me no problem, the bumper will be in tomorrow and I can drop my car off then. After I dropped my car off the next day, I was told that the bumper would be out of stock for a week and a half since it's a new car. 1 strike against them. I'm out of my car for an extra 1.5 weeks because they didn't bother to check the availability of the bumper. When the bumper finally arrived, they got it all painted and put on the car. I was told the car would be ready on Thursday and I could pick it up then. I was going to get my car Thursday and called to confirm it was ready, when they told me they ordered the wrong headlight and needed to get a new one sent over. The said the car is still ready to be picked up, if I could bring it back on Tuesday so they can installed light. In my opinion the car is not ready if it still has a broken part on it! - Strike 2 When the light finally came in, they installed it, but told me that there was additional bodywork that needed to be done before I could pick it up. I didn't find this out until after the light was installed, and they weren't sure they could get it done on time. - Strike 3. After many phone calls someone finally got it finished by the end of business that day. All in all the work looks good, clean and professional. Their communication skills are severely lacking, and they don't seem to be well organized. The only way I found out anything was to contact them, and I do not think that's the correct way to conduct business. The one thing keeping me from giving a 1-star rating is the quality of their work. read more

My wife was involved in an accident, Allstate recommended that we take the car there as they are the preferred facility. At first I wanted to go out of town but they wanted it to go there,so I agreed..grrrrrr. Upon the repair of the car it appears to be a great job. Upon getting my car from the body shop she showed me the car and went over item that was repaired or replaced and explained the invoice to me, All is well so far. When I got into my car to drive away..OMG! IT WAS HORRIBLE! The complete interior was covered with armor all. I am allergic to these types of cleaners as well as other smelly items like colognes. By the time i got home which is about 5 minutes away I was sneezing,runny nose, lungs were burning and had to take allergy pills and my inhaler. After I felt better i had to reclean the car and get rid of the smell. After a few other cleanings the smell was finally gone. A few days later I was driving my car and it was shaking really bad. As they had their tire company install a new wheel, I noticed that the aluminum wheels had wheel weights on the outside of the wheel, which they belong on the inside, then I noticed that they did this to all 4 wheels when they only needed to do 1 wheel,,What were they thinking,,maybe just to charge extra,I had they wheels rotated and balanced a week before the accident,so this was not needed, so no off to another expense to do a re-do repair of $15 per wheel another $60 repair. I just hope that I never have to go there again..Next time,,stand my ground,,goes to the shop that i request! read more
