It had already been diagnosed by a dermatologist as a benign cyst.This was explained to the staff prior to setting the appt. We were told and I quote "this is routine and we will get you right in." My family member shows up and never even meets the doctor. The office staff are demanding panoramic X-rays of the jaw and teeth. Keep in mind the visit was for a cyst removal on the inside of a lower lip. They said until we did the x-rays, the doctor wouldn't even see them. Then the nurse or dental assistant explained that this would be very expensive... I should mention we told them we would be cash patients because of no dental insurance. All she kept reiterating was how expensive this would be. I doubt this doctor even remembers the hippocratic oath. My relative was sitting there in discomfort, expecting to get the cyst removed only to find out that if they did not get the panoramic x-rays on parts are their mouth that had nothing to do with their medical issues they would not be seen. Typically the doctor comes in assess the situation then orders the modality of care appropriate for the situation correct? Terrible experience…read more I normally do not leave reviews, and I am usually willing to let a bad experience go without saying anything. However, this experience was significant enough that I feel it is important to share what happened. This was my first visit to Fort Worth Dental. No dental treatment was provided. I left the appointment without receiving the care I came in for, yet the practice still submitted a claim to my insurance. During the appointment, I was accused by the dentist Dr. Pham three separate times of drug use based on the condition of my teeth. I do not use drugs. I also do not believe the condition of my teeth was severe enough to warrant such an accusation, particularly from someone who had no knowledge of my dental history. What I found especially unprofessional and ignorant was that, after I corrected the accusation, it was repeated rather than acknowledged and moved past. As a patient, you have to trust your dental provider to listen to you, respect you, and approach your care professionally. I felt that trust was violated during my very first visit. Patients should be able to seek dental care without being subjected to unsupported accusations, particularly when those accusations are repeated after being corrected. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice to anyone who values being treated with basic respect, professionalism, and trust. The dentist was confidently incorrect and made the entire situation extremely unprofessional.
