We had the filet which was perfectly cooked. The sides were terrible. The green beans were tough and tasteless. The herbed potatoes were just plain boiled potatoes. The only flavor was the potato itself. The service was not great. Staff was just ok. Not very attentive. We will definitely return but we pay for a whole meal. Not just the protein. The soup and salad were very good. At Malias everything is usually superb. This trip was not memorable. read more

If you're looking for a place where the food is so good that even your taste buds start giving standing ovations, and the ambiance makes you feel like you've stepped into a novel--look no further! Imagine a restaurant where the waiters glide rather than walk, the air smells of culinary wizardry, and the lighting is so perfect, you'll want to take selfies in the bathroom (except don't in this case). It's the kind of spot where the meals are a symphony of flavors, and the decor is a feast for the eyes. A place so nice, you'll forget about your phone and actually enjoy the company you're with! Now, isn't that a refreshing thought? read more

We love this restaurant. The food and the service are too-notch. And now they have private cabanas, each with their own heater, so we can enjoy dining outdoors even in chilly weather. read more

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary and decided to have dinner here, since we have never been before. I was very impressed to say the least. The only mishap was that I felt like we were being rushed toward the end of our dinner, when two different servers came up to our table to ask if we were finished with our meal and clearly we weren't. That incident wasn't enough for me to change my star rating though because everything else about my experience was superb. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, a seared scallop appetizer, two salads and two entrées that were all cooked to perfection. The seared scallops appetizer looked small, but little did we know after it was finished that it was just the right portion for the both of us. Served with bacon jam, a tomato remoulade and house made waffle potato chips, all of the flavors and textures within this appetizer collaborated beautifully in a very tasty harmony. It is a pricey menu, so I would highly recommend it for only a special occasion or for people who aren't worried with their budget. Other than the outstanding food, the service we recieved was also on point (except toward the end as previously mentioned) and the atmosphere was very calm, quiet and peaceful. With that said, it doesn't offer a children's menu because of it's fine dining atmosphere. read more

Nice place for special occasions. I found the prices high and the service very slow, though, so I haven't been back.

Went today for lunch, and found this restaurant to be very cozy, and relaxing. The food was unbelievably delicious The service was spot on as well.s. Cant wait to go back. I hear they have seating outside, in the back as well. read more

Elegant place to have lunch and dinner. It gets a little loud when packed with diners, but it's still pleasant. They have very good wine list and varied menu. The lunch value seems better than the dinner value, as the serving sizes are the same, but prices go up for dinner. read more

Good food and great service. Love it as a nice meal with friends and family. Great eatery downtown Aiken.

Wonderful food and pleasant service. We had the crispy duck and the seafood special - both were excellent. Definitely recommended especially if you're staying in downtown Aiken. read more

Menu changes and love goes into the food and service. We love coming here . Make sure to enjoy the Italy salad dressing.

Our family has dined here several times and each time it was good. I would say Malia's is one of the top 5 eating spots in Aiken.

Long time fine dining place in Aiken. I had no idea this place existed until a neighbor shared. We went there last week for a mid-week supper. Yep, they call it supper down here and it was incredible. The calamari and soup of day were a great start. Husband had the short ribs and I enjoyed the lamb chops (don't tell our daughter about that)! We also split the shrimp with grits. Rolled out of there with full stomachs and loving every minute she spent at this awesome place. I have to LOL about people from big cities that don't think a small town down South doesn't have fine dining. This place certainly fits the bill and prices are pretty incredible for what you receive. The vibe was upscale but such a friendly staff and with peeps dining. Winner, winner here in Aiken! Cannot wait to go back with friends and out of town family. read more

I love this restaurant, always a pleasure to experience such quality cuisine with impeccable service, A true Aiken Treat!!!!!! read more

Malia's is great for a working lunch or a quiet evening dinner. I've been here several times and the food, atmosphere, and service are always impeccable. On this occasion I had the edamame cakes over a spinach salad. The Wasabi sauce was a perfect compliment to the cakes. It's nice to have great vegetarian options available in a small town. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the bread; it wasn't very good. It was hard, almost burned and lacked flavor. I opted for the minestrone soup for my appetizer rather than eat the bread. You can order a half bowl of soup, but it isn't mentioned on the menu. Ask your server. read more

It's ok but nothing special. The menu doesn't have many things for kids and it's pretty expensive for dinner.

Went there for dinner. Not overly impressed with the food or the service but it was decent. Better than mediocre, but not by much. It's a bit cramped in there and a bit pricey for what you get. May go back but it won't be 1st or 2nd or 3rd on the "where do we want to eat tonight" list. read more

While the waitresses at this location always seem like they are in a bad mood, the food is spot on. I have tried multiple chicken dishes, an asian pork, their strawberry soup, and their shrimp and grits and have never had a complaint. The usually bring bread before the meal, and it has been different each time, which I like. Their shrimp and grits (my most recent meal) were almost the best I have ever eaten (and I eat a lot). I liked that the shrimp had great size to them and their grits were creamy, but still had substance to them. The tasso gravy was delicious, and there was no mushrooms or peppers (a hard thing to find with shrimp and grits it seems). The interior is nice, making me slightly underdressed in jeans and a tee, but no one ever seems to mind. read more

Wonderful place, great service and outstanding food, would highly recommend. It is pricey however but you get what you pay for.

I've eaten here for both lunch and dinner and each time have had a great experience. My waiter both times was David. He was prompt, accurate friendly and he knew the menu. The atmosphere is welcoming to all but is perfect for casual to fine diners. The decor is modern. In addition to the dining area they also offer a sit down bar and outside seating. For lunch I had chicken over salad . It was very good. For my diner visit I had the boneless beef rib. The meat was so tender it fell apart. The sauce had a light smoke flavor. It was delicious. The veggies that came with it were fresh and cooked al dente. For dessert I ordered the raspberry pie ala mode. Just do it! read more

Best restaurant in Aiken. The menu changes, but some of my favorites are the pork scallopini, shrimp risotto, and steak salad. Consistently good and innovative with fresh ingredients. read more

BEST burger in my life and I love all their salads too! I love this place and celebrate any occasion here. They are very clean and all the food is super fresh - they buy fresh every day. This is the only place I eat shrimp & grits too. read more

They were so unprofessional and homely. The service was artificial with a lack of alcohol knowledge and a thrown together atmosphere. While ordering my food the blonde woman with glasses was rude, very passive expressions and let alone her slamming our plates. I try to be considerate understanding fine dining stress, but this was blatant complacency from someone bored with their job or under bad management. Will not return. read more

It doesn't get any better than Malia's in Aiken. I have been to Malia's over five times for lunch and have absolutely loved everything I've ordered. The food is always fresh and the service is impeccable. The restaurant is also a little bit on the higher-end scale which makes it the perfect place to take that date you've been trying to impress without breaking the bank ;) The two best things on the menu are the steak salad ($14) and the burger ($13). However, you can order just about anything on the menu. It's THAT good. read more

Very good food. Very fancy atmosphere. Great service. A little pricey for my taste. Great place for a business dinner or date.

The food was fantastic. But the atmosphere and service was underwhelming due to the attire of the servers. I was really surprised to see the wait staff dressed so casually, and even sloppy at such a fine restaurant. Just my opinion. But first impressions do matter for some. read more

We were told that this was a delicious place. Today we got to experience that. Since downtown Aiken has become our routine hangout spot, we are going through restaurants to taste the food. Malia's was on our list. Thankfully even on Saturday night we got in right away without reservation. All their entrees come with soup or salad. I loved the spinach salad which comes with fresh fruit, and raspberry vinaigrette. Sweet potato soup was sweet and spicy. I loved the seafood etouffee and my husband's short ribs were mouthwatering. So good and tasty. It's a little pricy but worth the money. Definitely visit this restaurant if you're in downtown Aiken. read more

The place has a nice atmosphere, the food is mostly good. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is for the service. Our waitress seemed like she blamed me for having a hair in my salad. I was pulling the hair out of my mouth and one of the first remarks out of her mouth was "we have no females in the kitchen" completely out line. My husband's short rib was great, although there was no bone.... I had the salmon which I was disappointed to find out the skin was not still on, I don't mind it without the skin, and the flavor was good, but when I mentioned it to the waitress she said something about it burning in the pan, in a way that implied that it wasn't possible to cook with skin on, I appreciate her pride in the food but it is severely misplaced, I can cook better salmon for less than $28. No apology or anything, just her way of telling me I was wrong instead of passing it along as constructive criticism. After her remark I stopped eating and left. My husband paid the bill still tipped well, but we won't be back. I hope she reads this and works on her service skills. I rarely leave bad reviews but when you're spending that kind of money you need better staff. 3 stars was very generous of me. read more
