    two trays of maki sushi

Came to try their lunch roll special, which included 3 rolls of your choice plus a soft drink. I ordered spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy crab, yam, salmon roll and tempura roll. Overall the taste was good. Some rolls were on the larger side. But very filling for lunch. The spicy rolls were not "spicy" at all. Also not a lot of panko filler inside which some places add in. Very fresh and tasty.

Stopped by here for a quick sushi lunch- they have a la carte and ayce options I was in a rush so didnt want to waste $18 for ayce so opted for the lunch combo I order the spicy salmon roll, Philadelphia roll, Sandy honey roll, which has mayo, tempura and avocado and I think some other deliciousness... Each roll game with 6 pieces and it also came with a drink, Coke Pepsi or Sprite, but curiously do not include green tea and you couldn't substitute tea for the pop Overall, the sushi tastes fresh, it was pretty good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent and very fast. You order from a iPad looking device, so human interactions is minimized, which on some days is a good thing The whole thing cost me $13.95 plus tax, which is reasonable for lunch. I'll definitely come back quick Sushi lunch in the future!

So this place offers both set meals and AYCE.... prices are decent for both but their method of operations + quality of the food... well let's just say, definitely mediocre at best. Service was slow consistently throughout our meal. The restaurant uses IPads which is pretty common nowadays for AYCE, but my group ordered the set lunches. It took a while for them to come over to our table to even process the order, before we got our food. The lunch/dinner bento boxes offer a variety of items such as the main source of protein, tempura, spring rolls, salad, and the rice. The eel tasted decent, but the chicken teriyaki was pretty dry. Sushi rolls were okay, the rice kind of falling a part, and the fish on the nigiri was also okay. Not the freshest, but not the worst I've tasted either. Honestly, my favourite items were the spring rolls and the tempura (although they kind of overdid the batter for the shrimp in particular). Overall, the layout of the restaurant is pretty cute. A lot of the customers there at the time I went were students (around 1 pm). I don't really see any other AYCE sushi restaurants around in this area, so I guess if you're really craving the food, you don't have many other options.

This is the go-to sushi spot in Stouffville. The staff are friendly and the interior is modern and clean. For AYCE, use the tablets to pick and order your food. Want 1? Want 7? Order the amount that you want! This AYCE is comparable to the places in Markham, certain items are actually better. If you want to try a new AYCE joint, go thr Maki. The Sashimi is quite fresh, choose from thr standard Salmon or I would recommend you go after the sweet shrimps (my fave), or squid which is also good. Teppanyaki items are all good, I particularly like that you can order just a couple of each item as most items comes with 2 or 3 per order, so you can try more items! They also come in small little plates, which are quite cute. Tempura is pretty standard, no complaints. Hand rolls are hit or miss for me. I like the seaweed a bit crunchy so sometimes they get it right. Makis are my least favourite. Their rice isn't the best and they don't roll them very well. Udon are standard, but I do like how they come a small bowls so you don't have to be afriad that you will fill up on noodles. Apps are standard. I was plesantly surprised with the cheese wontons. You can give those a try. They are quite heavy though. Desserts are another weak spot at this AYCE. I will only order the Matcha Ice Cream and occasionally the frozen grapes. The matcha is actually decent, other things are not that great. All in all, this is my go-to because its so close and its comparable to those in Markham.

Why am I eating Sushi in Stouffville?? I think I really need professional help with my sushi eating cravings as I should have totally skip Maki Zushi and went to have Fish and Chips next door! I should have turned around when the waitress ask if I am doing AYCE ($13.99) or from the menu... I don't really do AYCE so regular it is. I frantically searched for their lunch specials that was hidden somewhere... Sushi Lunch Special $7.95 - Shari Rice? What Shari Rice? It is like a normal under cooked rice ball... really hard, really chewy without any flavours - fish was not fresh aside from the two thinly sliced salomon - Lukewarm Miso Soup was flavoured with mega MSG... I am still thirsty 4 hours after drinking that - Salad was drowned in Thousand Island dressing...... poor salad... The deco though is nice and bright and I do like how the sunlight was filtering through from the sky light above... The green colour theme is nicely done helped calm me down from yelling these are not SUSHI!! Free Wifi Hot Spot. is a nice touch.

A decent AYCE sushi spot in Stouffville. Came here on a Thursday night and it was absolutely packed. We didn't have a reservation and ended up waiting about 15 minutes for a table (which wasn't bad at all). Orders are done on an iPad which is nice. Ambiance is good. Spacious, decor is pleasant, and generally a pleasant atmosphere. It was very loud though, probably because it was so busy. Service was quite slow, but the servers kept checking in to see which orders we were missing, which I appreciated. Most of the food tastes good, and the presentation is very nice. The cut on the salmon sashimi was very thick though, and I think the quality of the fish wasn't that great that day. They have a good variety of desserts, and the beauty of AYCE means you can try all of them! It's a bit expensive, but there aren't many other sushi options in Stouffville, so it makes sense. Would probably return again.

Came here with a group of 3, and decided to try their AYCE. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, bright and modern. It was quite a busy night on a Saturday, we waited for maybe 20mins or so for a table. We were seated at a triangular table that was quite large for 3 but it was great size for our massive orders ;P They use ipads as order menus, and each table has a slot on the side of the table to place the iPad after use. Our favourite items on the list was their torched sushi. It was a pretty presentation and the flavour of each was great. I also liked their fried chicken wings. Really crispy exterior and moist interior. Overall the food and service was great. Would come back to try it again.

I had picked up some sushi early on when it first opened and I really liked it then. Very fresh fish, rice grains prepared well and not mushy. I recently went back and grabbed one of the lunch box specials - 6 pieces of your roll of choice (excluding scallop or unagi, which is too bad as those are some of my favourites), 5 pieces of nigiri, and a miso soup or drink for $17. The nigiri had big pieces of fresh fish, and a smear of wasabi under it. The salmon avocado makimono I chose was exceptionally good. Large chunks of fresh salmon. Rice grains perfect. I appreciate them not using the black non-recyclable containers though the rice has a tendency to stick to the box. Overall, would recommend!

I'm never in Aurora, so I'm unfamiliar with the area. I'm not sure if there's much around but it's facing a main road that is pretty busy. We made a reso and the service was great. Opted for their premium set ($50) each which is what my friends raved about and can say it's a solid 4.5/5! The sushi is fresh, fish is great quality and delicious. We also got their uni sushi on the side to share so we each got one piece each and it was amazing! Great quality uni that was sweet and creamy. We sat at the bar area and got to see the chefs hard at work. The care, the precision and the details. Just wow. Prices are a bit high for a casual meal but definitely you are paying for quality. Ordered the premium set combo(ordered the chirashi box as well but will explain later). There is some caviar on the torched roll and little details in the different pieces. The combo came with a few sides. Came with a nice rich broth soup. There was a steamed egg with mushrooms which was so light but rich in flavour. There was salad as well which was refreshing. If you give them a Google review (don't worry I am loyal to yelp), they give you a few extra pieces as well. We also tried the fried oysters which came out fresh and hot and it was delicious. I definitely would be going back, just when I have more time. The only negative I have is the wait. From sitting and ordering, the food came a bit over an hour after. Was in a bit of a rush so had to cancel the chirashi box. Would have loved to try it. Place was rammed. Speaking with the waiter, it was unusually busy. I can't even be mad, they had one guy basically running around doing a lot of hard work. He and the chefs were very apologetic, giving us the oysters as an apology. They were not expecting a full house on a snowy Thursday. I can see why they had a crowd though. Food is amazing. Staff is great. Will definitely be going back

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.

That's because every other guest was a well-known "regular" -- a very good sign. We were ushered through the tranquil restaurant and seated at the sushi bar, a zen ambience. The eight pieces of nigiri featured a somewhat typical selection of fish (and hotate/scallop), but slightly edgy and unique in the choice of seasoning and flavours, prepared by Chef Takinami with all the pomp and ceremony and you would expect from fine omakase. The pacing was excellent, we never felt rushed from piece to piece; the wait staff were attentive as would be expected from a high-end Japanese restaurant, on par with omakases that cost three times as much. Overall, incredible value on the meal, for both the food and experience. We couldn't help but look around at what the regulars were enjoying (in addition to their omakase nigiri) -- botan ebi nigiri with deep fried shrimp heads, chawanmushi, cooked dishes featuring monk fish livers, tempura appetizers and more... some great ideas for our next visit!
