I absolutely, completely, wholeheartedly, 110% recommend working with Makeup by Ana B for your bridal/wedding party hair and makeup! This may have been one of the easiest and best parts of my wedding planning process - the business coordinator was extremely responsive, communicative, friendly, and helpful throughout the booking and artist selection process all the way from first contact until my wedding was over. The prices are extremely reasonable and more than worth it for the high level of care and service I received. Mindy was incredible for hair - she not only helped me figure out what I wanted for my wedding hair and then gave me it to exactly, but she also did a variety of styles based on what each girl wanted and everyone's was perfect! Everyone was totally happy with how hers turned out, which was amazing. I had Uzma for makeup and she is a true gem! She was so intuitive and talented in taking the inspiration or general ideas I had and making suggestions and adjustments to really accentuate my features and create my PERFECT bridal look. She also individualized makeup for each girl's unique requests and everyone loved their look. While satisfying the individual requests, Mindy and Uzma also managed to make all the looks cohesive so we all fit together and no one looked out of place. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I'm so grateful to both Mindy and Uzma for creating that for me. While not specifically related to the beauty services, I think it is also worth noting that Mindy and Uzma are both amazing people who 1) provided a calming influence when I had pre-wedding stress and 2) really added to the fun in the bridal suite while we were getting ready. I booked Makeup by Ana B. for my wedding two weekends ago, and couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! Uzma (hair, and hair and makeup for me) and Chelsea (makeup) were both amazing - from the beginning of the day they were super flexible (we used my sister's AirBnB, which had kind of a funky layout but they both rolled with it), professional, and fun. They were also so patient with and warm to my niece, who hung out in the room literally all day bugging them with questions about hair and makeup - which tells you they are both just good human beings! My mom and mother-in-law, sister, sisters-in-law, and niece looked beautiful and they all loved their looks, and everything was done early which meant we had more time to relax before the wedding, which we all appreciated. Uzma had done my makeup during a trial a few months prior which I really liked but wasn't 100% sure about, but she worked with me the day of to create a look that I absolutely LOVED, which was basically what she'd done during the trial but more glammed up. Uzma also did my hair as Gabby who had done the trial (and was also amazing!) was unfortunately sick - and she totally nailed it! I was nervous that it wouldn't look the same as the trial, but it was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. I would HIGHLY recommend Uzma and Chelsea for your hair and makeup needs - they are talented, professional, and take the time to listen carefully to what you're looking for. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention how wonderful Monica (who does the booking) is - she was incredibly responsive and super easy to work with over e-mail, and easily added and changed details as we went along the way. Amazing job done by Melissa and Hala at Makeup By Ana B! My hair looked fabulous and my makeup was so natural for our outside engagement photos. I received tons of compliments! The weather had been very rainy, damp, and cold the day before so Melissa suggested tightening up my curls since my hair is heavy and doesn't hold curls very well. She also weather-proofed my hair and it lasted all day. She was fast and efficient and such a pleasure to work with. Hala is super talented and does some great cat liner! She took the time prior to our appointment to review my request and came prepared. She suggested a few different ideas other than the ones that I had in mind since the photos were going to be outside and during the day. I agreed to her suggestions and the colors that she picked were beautiful! I can't thank her enough. Ana, I wanted to tell you what a great job Stefani and Shenoa did on my hair and makeup for my 50th birthday party. They both showed up early even though it was snowing out. They were totally prepared and quickly picked the best place in the house for lighting and logistics to do the hair and makeup. They came with everything they need. They also worked great together and were able to do the hair and makeup at the same time. They were also incredibly nice and funny. I really enjoyed talking with them, which made the whole thing fun. I felt very pampered and thoroughly enjoyed my first experience having a makeup and hair team come to my house. After years of driving around DC in a frantic rush the day of an event to get my hair and makeup done, I loved the experience of not having to leave my home. There aren't enough stars for Ana B and her team. She and Nancy came to our home VERY early the day of our daughter's wedding and did the hair and makeup for the bride and her two attendants. None of these girls are big makeup wearers and, above all else, wanted to look like themselves on this special day. Ana and Nancy are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They put the girls at ease and were very sensitive to their "super" natural-look wishes. I can't thank Ana enough. She even made a last-minute change in the bride's hairstyle when, without the bride saying a single word, Ana could just tell that she would probably be more comfortable going another direction. I booked Makeup by Ana B for hair and makeup for myself and 6 bridesmaids and my mother. Some thoughts: -I loved my hair (Jasmine) and makeup (Kola and Becca)!! I couldn't have been happier with it, and it lasted all day. My hair looked the same from 11 am to 12 pm! My medium length hair was transformed into a full, elegant updo. It was really great to have a trial, because I really didn't know what I wanted my makeup to look like and my first pass wasn't what I wanted. The class was led by Shirley, with Isabella assisting, and they were both incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. I only have positive feedback about my appointment. Cori was already waiting for me and ready to go when I arrived. She was both professional and personable which made it a very easy two hours. I came in with a hair idea and she executed it flawlessly and it stayed up and looked great through the wedding. Nothing feel out of place! As for make-up, I did not an idea, but she helped me think through then look and I can say that it was quite beautiful when finished. I don't think I've ever felt prettier. The makeup also stayed on through the wedding and reception and I did not have any breakouts afterwards (which can be common for me). She was very pleasant and accommodating, and lined up Francesca who came to my home and did an AMAZING job!
