This place is a hidden gem in Springfield! I had a wonderful experience with Pam and her daughter! Pam asked me when I was available to come in and texted with me to find a time that worked for me. She offered me dates and times and if they didn't work, she gave me alternatives. Then when I arrived, we discussed what I was looking to do with my hair (red color, cut, wash, blow dry, and style) and she confirmed with me multiple times what the final results would look like so that we both had the same understanding. It was so relieving to know that she understood me and what I was looking for and then showed me her book of hair to be sure that I would be happy with the color by the end. As well, she did the same for cutting my hair to make sure she knew the length and look I wanted. She even made sure that I liked it as she was cutting it, which was great because I often worry during the cut that the hair dresser is getting carried away. I can't believe I finally found a hairstylist I love! Yes, love! For years I've been going to salons with bossy hairstylists, or money hungry stylists that suck. I found Pam on yelp. She's not located anywhere near me, but I thought I'd give her a shot. My hair was brassy and just ugly thanks to an upscale hair salon near my house in Gainesville. Well... where do i begin? I went in there with my heart in my throat. I was so nervous as i am always before a haircut but Pam was an angel. She listened to what my concerns were. Finally! A hair salon where I Belong! I haven't kept up with hair care at a salon in a couple of years. The looks I love are over priced and the salons advertising these looks are over rated. With Pam I was right at home when I walked in and I walked out with new friends and a beautiful blonde ombre that I felt was very reasonably priced. Pam listened to my likes and concerns, she gave me some great advice and options and while working with other clients still made sure I was taken care of until the end. I had a few different ideas I wanted to try but wasn't sure which one to go with. I usually don't write bad reviews but my experience was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I had a 1pm appointment on July 1st. I arrived 10 minutes early as this was my first time meeting with Pam. I was told she hadn't arrived yet which was fine since you never know how traffic is. I waited and around 1:30 I asked the gentleman there if he could call and confirm the time incase I had gotten it wrong, while waiting for a response from her 3 more people came in 2 had 1:30 appointments and the other had a 1 appointment. She had scheduled 4 of us during the same hour. I waited for another 30 minutes till 2 and asked if the gentleman had ever heard a response from her and he said she was at the vet but he couldn't tell me if she was on her way. Finally one of the ladies left as did I. I never received a call to apologize or to reschedule. I understand that emergencies come up but to not make a call to your place of business to cancel and reschedule appointments is very inconsiderate! Also a red flag was to schedule 4 of us for the same hour, shows she wasn't going to spend much time and try to rush through our appointments. read more
