I'm 34 years old and have never had any professional skincare or facials done, so when I got…read moreengaged I knew I wanted to start doing something so that I felt very confident in my skin the day of my wedding. I know skincare and hair/makeup artists seem expensive, and you may go back and forth on whether it's worth the price or not... but you get what you pay for and I'll tell you that it's worth it! Your confidence and how you feel the day of will show through in photos. I knew I wanted to feel confident and beautiful and I wanted someone that I could trust to help with that. Michele was on our vendor list and when I saw that she specialized in both hair and makeup AND esthetics, I immediately picked up the phone. Her and I hit it off right away and I instantly felt comfortable with her - like a long-lost friend I hadn't seen in ages and was just catching up with. :) My mom and I both started going to her for facials leading up the wedding and I noticed almost immediate changes in my skin (cheek redness was lightening, pore size looked smaller, skin texture felt smoother, etc). Michele did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower as a "trial" and while I looked and felt gorgeous, there were a few things I wanted to tweak for the wedding. Michele was so gracious when I was telling her about the changes I wanted to make. I never feel like myself in fake eyelashes and shared that with her. Having done many weddings before mine, she did tell me that I'd probably want to have some fake lashes just so they'd show up in my professional photos. We found a happy medium and I'm so happy that I trusted her with that! Michele is incredibly talented and will make you feel so comfortable and BEAUTIFUL on your big day! One of my biggest fears when I was first searching for a makeup artist was that I wasn't going to recognize myself in pictures or look like me. Michele made sure that didn't happen! When my brother first saw me, he cried and told me that he was so happy that I still looked like myself, which was so sweet! Michele styled my hair perfectly to what I envisioned and my makeup....gosh, I can't even begin to describe the confidence I had all day long and especially in front of the cameras (coming from someone who doesn't love taking photos). I truly felt like the most elevated version of myself on my wedding day and it's all thanks to my girl, Michele! We just adored her so much! My mom and I still plan on going to Michele for regular facials in the future and I'll be going back for hair and makeup for future events! :)

Five plus stars…read more The whole experience is wonderful. Anh's space is clean and cozy. She's punctual, gentle, and somehow manages to make hours fly by--I've literally fallen asleep mid-appointment and woken up looking bright eyed and glamorous. Anh also actually listens to what you want. Want drama? She delivers. Going for a more natural "maybe she's born with it, maybe it's a lash fill" look? She nails it. Every. Single. Time. Also, let's talk retention!!! We're talking 1 month. I've gone hiking, swimming, saunas, even cried through an entire season of "When Life Gives You Tangerines (IYKYK)" and those lashes stayed put. I've never had such good retention. Bottom line: she's an artist, a magician, and possibly a witch (in a good way). Book her now before the rest of the world catches on and she's impossible to get into.

The tint isn't quite as noticeable now as it was in the beginning (but it's still there) but I rub my eyes a lot and I use an oil based cleanser and Shay had instructed me about care and how to keep the tint from fading - so that's totes on me. The salon she is in seems very welcoming and clean.

I've always ruminated on probably "typical" concerns like, what if I get them and don't like them? What if I end up feeling that financially it wasn't worth it? What will maintenance be like? What if my lash artist doesn't know what she is doing? What if I react funny to them somehow? What if I look super crazy with them on? The chemistry and communication from BeeHive Beauty owner and lash artist, Shay was fantastic. I messaged her first and she responded quickly with super kind and sweet responses to my copious questions. My anxiety and insecurity simmered down significantly and when we met I was 100% at ease. Shay has an adorable studio suite located within Gloss Salon and if your lucky you'll get to lay eyes on the Salon's security Pomeranian, named Kona. I have now had an entire set done, as well as one fill, and I am over the moon. The world is falling apart all around me but I'm warm and fuzzy about my lashes.

Not only are Jill and Jessie super gorgeous, but they're friendly and they really know how to make women beautiful. I hired Jill because she does airbrushing, which I loved because it was lightweight but lasted all day. Seriously my makeup was good from 10am to 12am even in the hot Sacramento summer heat.
