I'm 34 years old and have never had any professional skincare or facials done, so when I got engaged I knew I wanted to start doing something so that I felt very confident in my skin the day of my wedding. I know skincare and hair/makeup artists seem expensive, and you may go back and forth on whether it's worth the price or not... but you get what you pay for and I'll tell you that it's worth it! Your confidence and how you feel the day of will show through in photos. I knew I wanted to feel confident and beautiful and I wanted someone that I could trust to help with that. Michele was on our vendor list and when I saw that she specialized in both hair and makeup AND esthetics, I immediately picked up the phone. Her and I hit it off right away and I instantly felt comfortable with her - like a long-lost friend I hadn't seen in ages and was just catching up with. :) My mom and I both started going to her for facials leading up the wedding and I noticed almost immediate changes in my skin (cheek redness was lightening, pore size looked smaller, skin texture felt smoother, etc). Michele did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower as a "trial" and while I looked and felt gorgeous, there were a few things I wanted to tweak for the wedding. Michele was so gracious when I was telling her about the changes I wanted to make. I never feel like myself in fake eyelashes and shared that with her. Having done many weddings before mine, she did tell me that I'd probably want to have some fake lashes just so they'd show up in my professional photos. We found a happy medium and I'm so happy that I trusted her with that! Michele is incredibly talented and will make you feel so comfortable and BEAUTIFUL on your big day! One of my biggest fears when I was first searching for a makeup artist was that I wasn't going to recognize myself in pictures or look like me. Michele made sure that didn't happen! When my brother first saw me, he cried and told me that he was so happy that I still looked like myself, which was so sweet! I have been meaning to leave a review for over a year now. Michele is absolutely the best there is. Hands down. First of all, the backstory.... I had a hair stylist who SEEMED so amazing on instagram booked months ahead of time but she was terrible at communicating. I emailed her to set up a consultation, and she would get back to my email inquiry two weeks later. Because we were going back and forth a bit, and I wanted to meet/speak with the person who was going to do my wedding hair, I asked if we could chat on the phone at some point and sort out the appointment details. She ignored my question three times on three separate emails. Eventually, that stylist said she just had a newborn and doesn't think I would be a good fit because I was to needy. So, two months before my wedding I was frantic, and disappointed. She was every brides nightmare. THEN... I met Michele. First of all, I was so lucky she could fit me in her schedule!! I wanted a very specific style, and I was booking from out of town. She was everything I dreamed of and more. She made me feel important, she assured me, she was easy to talk to, and during our consultation she took so much time to clearly understand my vision and to perfect it to a tee. Michele's work is beautiful, as a bride my makeup stayed in place all night and looked great. I would however not recommend Michele given her unprofessional behavior. In my initial inquiry I wrote that my bridal party would be relocating 10 minutes away to the actual venue location during the session. When my wedding day came, this communication was lost and Michele refused to relocate. We offered to pay her more money or to not do my mother's makeup in order to move to the venue for getting ready phones. Michele still refused. I had precious memories taken away from me that I will never be able to recreate on my one and only wedding day. What was supposed to be a fun and memorable time became absolutely stressful.
