Our amazing wedding coordinator, Events by Courtney Ann, recommended Lea for our May 2 wedding, and I am so glad she did! From our first warm and friendly phone call to the last curl she put in my hair on our wedding day, Lea's kindness, talent, and professionalism have blown me away. She did an amazing job on my hair trial and then somehow an even more beautiful job on our wedding day! Both hairstyles held up through lots of dancing, hugs, and warm weather. I never thought my hair could look so stunning. Lea is not only a great artist but a wonderful person. She is easy to talk to and so sweet. Lea brought exactly the vibes I wanted in our getting-ready suite AND kept us on schedule! That is no easy feat. I'm already looking forward to the next special occasion that I can get my hair done with Lea, and I also plan to check out her education offerings in the future, too! read more

Lea did hair and makeup for my recent elopement in South Lake Tahoe. Not only did she exceed my expectations in the planning process with her amazing personality & excellent communication, but she executed flawlessly on the big day. The planning process from 2,000 miles away was definitely more than I originally anticipated when I decided to get married in Lake Tahoe. From the moment I first interacted with Lea she made it clear that I could have one less thing to worry about with regards to my hair & makeup. Not only did she listen intently, she gave me honest feedback and was able to reassure me in that planning process. Her personality is so bubbly and calming and you can tell that she is a genuinely happy person who loves making people feel beautiful. I ended up texting her ONE day before that my flower girls had changed their mind and now really wanted their hair done. No problem for Lea- not only did she accommodate this request last minute, but she handled their individual requests with such care that they and their mamma were all thrilled with the results. On my wedding day it rained off and on the ENTIRE day, and during the ceremony it literally started dumping and took me a couple minutes to secure an umbrella. Despite the weather, and my being outside for probably a total of 6 hours that day, my hair and makeup held flawlessly. I really don't remember giving her any directions for my make up other than "natural glam" and I have never ever in my entire life felt so beautiful. It was me- 100% - with an elegant touch. I can't really say enough. Weddings are emotional always, and my own personal journey was full of SO many feelings and Lea handled us all with such care and grace and really pulled it off. I have never felt so beautiful and am truly amazed that someone who was a "stranger" to me before hand was able to execute EXACTLY what was in my head. I really loved every moment! read more

My family decided to bring Lea with us to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for my sister's destination wedding. Lea was very easy to communicate leading up to the trip, and was a joy to work with during the wedding week. She did my sister's hair and makeup multiple times during the week, and she did many women's hair and makeup on wedding day. She also styled the groom's hair. Lea is very easy to talk to while you are in her chair. She makes you feel heard and important. She wants to make sure everyone feels perfect before leaving her chair, and we love that about her. Thank you, Lea! read more

Lea is amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better hair and makeup artist! She did hair and makeup for my wedding in Mexico (yes, she's so good we flew her to Mexico!) and for our local reception in Sacramento. Lea really listens to what you want, she is excited about every little thing, and she makes you feel so comfortable when you're in the chair. I cannot recommend Lea enough! read more

Lea is amazing! I honestly can not say enough good things about her. Lea has done my hair and make up for several occasions now, and every time I am simply amazed. For my bridal hair and make up trial she was able to create a beautiful braid hair style that I was in love with from Pinterest. She also perfected my bridal make up look! With Covid our wedding date changed many times and Lea was super understanding. She is easy to work with and very upfront about everything which I always appreciate. When it came time to actually have our wedding Lea did my hair and make up and also all the ladies in the bridal party. She made everyone look flawless! My mother who has never had her make up professionally done was in love with how she looked! Right before the ceremony Lea checked in for a couple of last minute touch ups before the big "I dos". Lea is so professional and such a sweet person to be around. She makes you feel so special and beautiful. She really listens to what kind of look you want and is able to create it with ease! I highly recommend booking Lea for your hair and make up needs! read more

Thank you Lea for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! My makeup was so natural and my hair was so full and beautiful. I don't ever wear clip in extensions so I was worried how uncomfortable they would be, but I barely could feel them in my hair. My curls and makeup stayed all day as well! My bridesmaids hair and makeup was also perfection. Highly recommend Lea for your next special event! read more

I am so happy to write this review. Lea was brilliant. She was responsive, patient and super helpful. We had a couple bridesmaids that wanted to be added for hair and make-up pretty close to the wedding. We weren't sure, if it was going to be possible, but she was able to bring another person-she was already bringing someone else to make sure SEVEN of us could have our hair and make up done the day of my wedding. My hair and make up was done around Noonish and lasted all night, including the after party, about a full 12 hours! I couldn't have been happier with it! She was personalable, kind and put everyone at ease, including me. I choose my hair style for the wedding, after my trial-so she offered me a second to make sure it is what I wanted and that it would work for my hair. It worked great and meant I had my hair done for our rehearsal which was great! She also provided a touch up kit which I appreciated. Affordable prices. read more

I booked Lea for my wedding and I am SO glad I did! From the very first hair trial to my wedding day, she gave me exactly what I wanted and it looked better than I could have ever imagined. Having a sweet & accommodating wedding team is more important than you realize and Lea is a great addition! I would book with her all over again for any future services I need. read more

Lea was recommended to me by my wedding photographer and I'm so happy she was available for my wedding! After my original hair and makeup plan didn't pan out, I was left days before my wedding day without a solid plan for hair and makeup which was terrifying as a bride. I never ended up doing a trial with her as my schedule leading up to the day just didn't allow me to, but she had such wonderful reviews that I trusted it would be okay and all her reviews were so right! To my surprise, Lea used my social media pages to get an idea of my everyday look and wedding inspiration. I wanted natural looking makeup but also wanted it to show up in photos and she nailed it! I couldn't believe how natural the airbrush looked! I was so calm all morning because I knew I was in such great hands. I can't recommend Lea enough, she is so talented at her craft and you can tell she really loves what she does. She made me the best version of myself & on top of that was so fun/easy to work with. read more

Lea was amazing! She not only did the most gorgeous Repunzle braid with flowers woven in it for my wedding, she made every last one of my 11 bridesmaids and my mother and mother in law look and feel amazing. She was on time, professional, and clear on pricing from day 1. As if this wasn't enough when I had a wedding disaster and had to retake photos a few weeks later, she redid my hair just as amazing as the first time! I didn't expect it at all she did it out of the kindness of her heart. I will forever recommend her for anyone who needs hair or makeup done for their wedding or special occasion and you will not be disappointed hiring her I guarantee it. read more

I've known Lea for five years now. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding in 2010, and I still try to see her for a cut a color every now and then because she is simply the BEST! For the wedding, she arrived early to setup, was professional and even managed a bit of damage control with a "loose cannon" MOH. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to ask Lea to be my makeup and hair artist for the day... Shucks, any event, I'd love to have her do what she does best! Simple, elegant, beautiful makeup and hair! read more

Lea did an amazing job doing the make up for our wedding! She made me and every one of my bridesmaids feel absolutely beautiful! I hired Lea for hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I. She was absolutely perfect and I'm so glad I picked her! I live out of state so my hair and makeup trial was 4 months before my actual wedding date. But even after all the time between, everything came out absolutely perfect on my wedding day. She came prepared and stayed on time with our schedule. As someone who never wears makeup, she made me feel super comfortable and I didn't feel like I had too much makeup on. I recommend her for any bride! read more

My wedding coordinator recommended Lea for hair and make up, and since I was a little late in finding someone, I was thrilled to find out she was still available for my date. I appreciated that the information on her web page for wedding hair and make up services was straight forward and clear when I was doing my research. She was very responsive and accessible through the whole process. I ended up scheduling trial hair and make up to coincide with my engagement photo session, and having hair and make up done for me, my sister, and my mom on the day of the wedding. I have a lot of long hair, so some pieces loosened up or came free from the bobby pins as the afternoon/evening wore on, but trial and day of make up held up very well. Lea is super chill, reliable, sweet, and friendly. She is calm and confident in her craft, and was patient with my eye flinching. I didn't have a great sense of what I wanted or what to ask for, but her kind personality made it easier to just chat, share pictures, and ask questions. She was happy to make adjustments and adapt to requests. Lea definitely helped reduce the stress of planning and execution of the big day, and I'm so glad she was part of my wedding team!! Thanks, love! read more

Leah did the makeup for myself and my bridesmaids on our wedding day and I could not have been happier with the results! From the minute I met her for a trial, it felt like we'd been friends forever. This feeling continued on the actual wedding day and it was truly a blast working with her. As far as the makeup goes... I was very hesitant about makeup artists after a bad makeup counter experience years ago before prom. Leah, however, made me feel 100% confident and beautiful! She really listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond. The makeup looked good throughout the day and well into the night. If you're considering Leah, book her NOW. She's a boss lady who knows what she's doing. read more

Very professional and easy to work with! At the end of the day my makeup looked decent but was hoping for something I really loved since it was my wedding. Did not feel like she knew how to do dark skin well. Of note I did not do a makeup trial beforehand and maybe this would have helped us get to a better place. read more

I got married on September 2017, and hired Lea to do my hair and my bridesmaids hair. She also did my makeup and some of bridesmaids makeup. In short, Lea is charismatic, fun, and professional. She helps you feel comfortable, and takes her time making sure everything looks as planned. She is always on time, answers all your questions, and provides you with a small beauty kit to use on the wedding day. The only reason why I gave her 4 stars is because my hair did not look exactly how I wanted it to look. I mean, it didn't look bad, but I would've prefer if it was closer to the picture I showed her. Other than that, she's a great hair and makeup to hire. Totally recommend her! read more

The first time I met Lea she was doing my hair and makeup for my sister-in-laws wedding. I was so impressed with the quality of her work that day. I couldn't believe it! I did not have to touch up my makeup once; it looked flawless throughout the pictures, ceremony and even the reception. I knew then, I wanted to book Lea for my wedding. We had completed a trial run, which went fantastic, she really took the time and listened to EXACTLY what I wanted. As my day quickly approached I started wanting to change little things here and there and when I was done, I realized I wanted something soo different from the trail run. I had sent her many emails all of which she was quick to respond to my many requests and questions and so nice about it all. I had complete confidence in Lea's ability to make me look perfect for my big day. Upon arrival I asked her if she wanted to see pictures of what I wanted so she could get it perfect and she smiled at me and said "Don't worry. I know exactly what you want" She took all my stress away with that statement as I had complete confidence in her abilities, as a professional. Without seeing any pictures Lea made my vision come true, which just goes to show you how good she really is! As I looked at myself in the mirror I was so taken back, she did my make up EXACTLY how I wanted it without any direction! And on top of that she is so nice and professional. The quality of service is impeccable!! I will be recommending her to everyone future bride-to-be. read more

Lea was amazing!! If you are looking for all in one hair and make up she is the one!! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding at Monte Verde Inn. I have crazy thick hair and usually my hair styes are either up or down. But magically, she got my hair to last through my entire wedding! I'm not really a girly girl, so leading up to the wedding I emailed her often asking for advice. She was always quick to answer my emails, which I very much appreciated. Seriously, she was so calming during the lead up to my wedding. At one point there was a mix with the timing for hair and make up for my maid of honor. My maid of honor, who was my sister, freaked out and stressed me out but Lea made sure that I didn't lose focus on what the day was about and was very accommodating to make sure my sister got her hair and makeup in time for photos. There were a million other ways that Lea went above and beyond for my wedding. She was just absolutely wonderful! read more

Lea is a delight and amazing at what she does. Truly one of a kind gem. She delivers on what is asked of her. I would highly recommend her. read more

From the very start Lea was a breeze to work with. She was super accommodating even after I ended up having a few more people wanting to get their hair and makeup done on my wedding day. She brought in a team that executed exactly what my bridesmaids all wanted and we all looked HOT!! Lea did exactly what I wanted for my first and second look and I could not be happier with how pretty I looked on the best day of my life. Lea is a real artist! She did makeup and Hair for our wedding, and every single person was thrilled with her work. Lea has exactly the calm and friendly personality you want around you on your wedding day. She really listened to exactly what I wanted, and I was thrilled with the outcome. I didn't want to look overly made-up, but still have makeup that photographed well. Her work was flawless and my hair stayed put all night long. My sister/MOH has gone through her share of stylists and make-up artists, and this time she couldn't find a single thing to criticize. Everyone was really happy with how they looked, and that confidence really shows through in the photos from our day. I would recommend Lea heartily. read more

Lea did my wifes make-up and hair for our wedding. She looked gorgeous with a 1950's style classic look. It translated really well into our wedding photos. I recently published my first book of Christian poetry and was in need of some branding images for marketing purposes. Jessica Giblin Photography scheduled Lea to come to the studio to do my hair and make-up prior to the photo shoot. I was so impressed with Lea! She genuinely cared about the look I was aiming for, and I really appreciated that. First, she did amazing things to my hair and then applied my make-up, absolutely transforming my look. Even though I looked different to myself, it was still me, she really enhanced my features and kept it all very natural, which came through smashingly in the photos. I give Lea my highest recommendation! read more

For all brides looking for a subtle, natural makeup look - book Lea and you will be SET! Not being a makeup person, I have despised other people doing my makeup for years because it always looks too heavy. Because of this, I was nervous about booking someone for my wedding but I liked what I saw from Lea's Instagram so I decided to give her a shot. At my trial I said I wanted something light and natural looking, and Lea delivered. I was in disbelief over how much I loved the look, and somehow it turned out even better on my wedding day. I felt so confident and beautiful thanks to her. She did my Mom and Bridesmaids makeup as well, all with glowing reviews. Her makeup looks gorgeous in photos, and both her hair and makeup looks LAST. They held through hours of sweat, tears, rain, and rambunctious dancing and I didn't have to touch up or re-pin once. I will definitely be using Lea again for all my future makeup needs! read more

Lea with Special Event Hair and Makeup is brilliant at what she does. She has a natural talent at making people beautiful. She is a true artist with hair and makeup!! I have recommend her time and time again to my friends and family and she has always impressed those I've referred her too! read more

We LOVED Lea so much ! I am a pro photographer with a lot of experience with hair and make-up artists, but when I was the one getting my hair and make-up done for my nephews wedding, it was a very different experience than being the photographer. Lea came and did me, my sister and my nieces hair and make-up and she did an EXCELLENT job. We all have very fine 'hard to hold a curl' hair and Lea was able to do our hair so it stayed all day. And we all loved our make-up too. It was such a big deal and a treat for us to get our hair and make-u done for this big occasion and Lea did a great job as well as was very pleasant and easy going under a stressful situation. And her rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend Lea ! read more

Leah did such an amazing job for my wedding! She is so talented and sooooo sweet. Poor girl had to put up with my picky picky coo coo butt! She did all my bridesmaids and my mother-in-law (well and of course me!). I have never seen anyone do eyelashes like this girl can! read more

Lea is awesome! She did my hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids for my wedding at Wine and Roses, Lodi. I LOVED both the hair and makeup, it couldn't have turned out better. I have really thick long hair and I wanted a side chignon that was elegantly messy, not too slick but not too poofy and not too much curls. She really came up with exactly what I had hoped for but way better in that the updo she did on me was not tight and strained with a million bobby pins. It was looser and I felt very comfortable wearing it all day. I had a trial run with another stylist and the hair do was so tight and painful on my head that I couldn't wait to take it down, but that was not the case with Lea's. As for the makeup, I don't wear much make up, but what she did for me and my bridesmaid was very simple but flawless. We looked beautiful and I can't thank her enough for her work. She is a great value, with great work. I looked very long and hard on yelp, and many other similar hair and makeup artist but I consider myself very lucky to have come across Lea. Just like the last review mentions, she does have a very fun and bubbly personality. Thanks again! read more
