Every time I go, there is something wrong that involves me paying a bunch of money for the quality of their work not to be reflected. I had caps that were done by them come out they attempted to put the first one back on but it came out again. And then they just pulled the tooth. They told me the price of getting it pulled. And sent me somewhere else I was charged more than what they told me. It doesn't make a lot of sense cause when it came out it came out from flossing. Then they proceeded to tell me not to floss on that side after putting it back in. What sense does that make? After the other one came out I just decided to go to another dentistry how take a lot more care and does seem to charge me out the ass. And sound more reasonable when they are talking bout my teeth. Had a filling done here and had pain ever since I got the filling. Came for a follow up and after a…read morebite adjustment because it was too high I was still in pain but the dentist said she had no logical idea what it could be, offered no follow up plan, and did not offer to redo the filling. So I was left to be in pain for rest of my life if I saw no other treatment. Sought a 2nd opinion which immediately determined upon examination that the filling was compromised and needed to be redone. The 2nd opinion was communicated to this dentist. I sent an email and went in person to give this office the chance to redo the filling, release my insurance claim, or refund for out of pocket costs paid for the last filling. They refused all 3 options and closed my account. I later went to my pcp and was prescribed oral rinse which got rid of most my pain when used per the instructions. I got the filling at the 2nd dentist (as the pain would come back when oral rinse was not used) and the pain was gone the day after treatment. I am so disappointed that the dentist would rather choose a complaint to the dental board, filing with insurance appeal, a bbb complaint and negative review on social media sites, and the possibly getting sued instead of just taking accountability. This could have been easily avoided had you offered to redo the filling at the follow up (Like any other good Dentist would have done) OR just released the insurance claim OR paid back the $300 I paid out of pocket. You might be ok here with a dental cleaning but anything else that is irreversible Caveat Emptor. (Or in other words if this office makes a mistake beware you will foot the bill)

Several years ago, I was bullied into getting updated dental work done by another dental office. They made changes to my smile that I didn't ask for (and I still hate looking at). They also did a terrible job and I had to get an implant a couple of years later. I found My New Smile and he clearly explained to me my options and his recommendations, as well as came up with an interim solution that made me feel confident in public during the process. Unlike the other dentist, I knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. And as someone that was uninsured at the time, the front desk staff informed me of options that allowed me to proceed without having too much of a financial burden. When I got my implant it was right around the time he was switching from using an outside lab to being able to do everything in-house. The fit of my implant was slightly off (which was normal) but rather than send it back, it was secure enough that I could wait until he had things set up to fix it in-house. I got busy and then the pandemic hit. During the pandemic I had to move across the country. Shortly after, some complications arose due to not getting to finish that last step. I found a dentist locally and Dr. PeyRay went really above and beyond working with them to come up with a solution that let them fix the implant instead of me starting over. He didn't have to do that and I am eternally grateful. I had a lot of bad experiences with dentists in Nashville, even beyond the ones that bullied me. I now have PTSD when it comes to dentists but everyone at My New Smile makes me feel safe and cared for. If I could fly back to Nashville for every cleaning I would.

I…read morewent to go see Dr. Temlock at Nashville Periodontal Group in his Nashville, TN office (they have a Brentwood, TN location too) after I went to another local periodontist that my general dentist referred me to. The experience with the other Periodontist felt rushed, uninspiring, and it felt like they just wanted my money and required a deposit to schedule my surgery after 15 minutes with the staff and maybe 5 minutes with the doctor. So, I wanted a second opinion, and I am so happy I did! First, I want to talk about Dr. Temlock. He spent an entire hour with me at my initial consultation, and he really took the time to explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. I've never seen a doctor or dentist spend that much time with me! His chair-side manner was a 10/10, and I felt totally educated about my periodontal issue. He was there to answer all my questions, and he helped guide me through the anticipated surgery so I could make the right decision for MYSELF! He was so kind, patient, and genuine. This was almost the exact opposite of what occurred at the first periodontist's office. Second, his staff was super nice, and they helped me out every step of the way regarding the logistics. They need to be mentioned here too because they were so awesome too! I was very anxious about my surgery, but Dr. Temlock's knowledge, skills, confidence, and experience really put me at ease. I chose to be sedated for my procedure (and this was the best money I ever spent throughout the whole situation!), and I do not remember anything! I needed a really bad/cracked tooth removed, a sinus lift, and bone graft so I could get a dental implant. Sounds scary, right!?! Not with Dr. Temlock and Nashville Periodontal Group's staff! Everything went just as he explained it at the consult. He even called me the next day to ask how I was doing and answer my questions. I've couldn't believe the doctor actually called me instead of the nurse! Dr. Temlock really does care about his patients, and he even gave me his phone number in case I had any more questions over the weekend. Lastly, I returned to the office for my follow-up appointment about 3 weeks after the surgery, and Dr. Temlock saw me, took time to personally evaluate the surgical area, and answered all my questions again. I thought I was only going to see the assistant/nurse from Nashville Periodontal Group that day, but Dr. Temlock was the one who entered the room. I couldn't believe it! Dr. Temlock reassured me that I was healing great and right on schedule, and Dr. Temlock explained that everything was on course which helped calm down my anxiety too. Overall, I cannot thank Dr. Temlock and the staff at Nashville Periodontal Group enough! Everyone is so professional and understanding. From the first time I met Dr. Temlock through the last goodbye, I cannot thank him enough. Now that everything major is complete, I am going to get my teeth cleaned with Dr. Temlock's hygienists and alternate between my dentist's office and Nashville Periodontal Group. The whole team at Nashville Periodontal Group are going to make sure they keep a close eye on all my teeth and gums into the future, so I know I am in good hands as Dr. Temlock and all the staff at Nashville Periodontal Group will continue to monitor the rest of my teeth and gums to hopefully minimize and prevent any serious issues in the future.
