The girl did the cleaning probably had a rough morning, she was mad the whole time. Don't fall for the oral cancer screen BS. She looked at my mouth and asked me to stick my tongue out and that's $25. Such a rip off. The dentist seemed nice, checked the cleaning work for 20 seconds and that was it. Your staff are nice but incompetent. They can't fill out insurance paperwork. You said 2 weeks for insurance approval. 4 weeks later due to your staff miss filling out paper work. You get your feelings hurt because my wife talked bad to you on the phone. Hope a doctor dose this stuff to you and makes you wait to get something done. No one likes the dentist's office. The Dr. is super personable and down-to-earth. The receptionist lighten the mood by being a little silly, but still professional. I have been a patient at Embassy Dental for several years now. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have sensitive gums and cannot handle the water cleaning so they hand clean my teeth each time and even put numbing gel on my gums so I am comfortable. I have always been afraid of the dentist but Dr. Minyard and his staff have helped me overcome that fear and get my teeth in better shape than they've been in a very long time! read more

The dentist is very friendly and approachable. The rest of the dental staff is not, with the exception of one of the girls at the front desk. I made my first cleaning appointment with them and they only took x-rays and looked in my mouth. Then they wanted me to come back the next day for a cleaning. Evidently, they don't think anyone has to work and can just take time off whenever they want. Then when I told them I wasn't going to come back for my cleaning, they laid the guilt trip and sales on pretty thick. I told them I made my cleaning appointment with them that day and they said they never do a cleaning on the first appointment.....would have been nice to know when I made the appointment. For my son, they did not want to fill his 2 very small cavities at the office, so I had to go somewhere else and pay a second fee there (the cavities were covered but not the office fee), because I had already gone to Embassy and insurance paid for that visit. So I made 3 appointments on 1 day (1 for me and 2 for my kids) and had to make 2 more appointments for the next week (which were made other places) because they could no, and would not, finish the work in their office. I won't be returning to that office, it cost me more in time and extra fees to go there than it would if I had just gone somewhere else in the first place. read more

I knew when my insurance company only gave me 2 choices of dentists, it was not a good sign. After 2 years of having a new cavity every time I went in, I decided to get a second opinion. The other dentist I went to said I didn't have a cavity, and the only thing he was concerned about was the filling Embassy did the previous year. You are ALWAYS better off paying more out-of-pocket costs to get a REAL dentist, than going with the insurance company's quack. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. They billed me five years after I last visited there and sent the bill to collection after I refused to pay them without a detailed bill from them. They are now holding my credit report hostage by keeping a collection account on it. These people including the corporate office were both rude and uncooperative to me. This is a horrible place to go. I quit them in the first place because they were finding tons of things wrong with my gums and teeth every time I went. After switching dentists I found out none of those things were wrong with my teeth. These people may as well be theives. read more

Best experience I have had with a dentists. The staff was friendly, caring and the atmosphere calm and relaxed. No high pressure sales. I had a broken veneer which has broken several times. They saw me immediately even though I was a brand new patient. They did not sell me on another expensive replacement rather helped with a more affordable crown and spent a lot of time and attention making sure the temporary matched in shape and color. Typically other dentists have rushed through and thrown anything on as it is temporary but they took their time and did an amazing job. This made me feel valued and cared for. They opted on an option that would eliminate the issue of breakage and still work beautifully with my teeth. The used state of the the art digital equipment to send details to the lab for replacement which cut down wait time on the permanent. This again made me feel valued and cared for. My past experience with other dentist has been for the office to say a 2 weeks wait which in reality means 3 to 4 weeks. Due to the state of the art equipment I am only waiting 1 week. They do decent dental work. That aside, watch their billing and coding like a hawk. There is an unscrupulous tactic known to dentist as up-coding. They will take a dental procedure and then code it for billing to the insurance company at a much more expensive code. When the procedural notes don't match the much higher code they bill for, the Insurance Company will deny the higher cost and only pay for the lower cost procedure that was actually performed. This is called insurance fraud. And, then when they get caught by the insurance company, they drop the claim and come after the patient for the fraud portion payment. When called on it, they pass it on to a collection agency, who immediately reports it to all 3 major credit reporting agencies. Dr. Ryan Minyard knows this is an unethical business practice, but doesn't care, has a very cavlier attitude on this, and can't be bothered as long as the money keeps rolling in. Very unethical. Their work is good. But their billing practices should make you run away, as fast as you can. read more
