I absolutely ADORE my dentist and all the hygienists... and this review is coming from a person who has had absolutely horrific experiences at dentists in years past; to the point I stopped going after being literally stripped of my upper teeth by Aspen Dental and charged several thousand dollars over what normal charges should have been... when I found out later on I could have had four teeth crowned. Yes. CROWNED. They didn't have to pull every tooth in my upper jaw out and ruin my life. The wisdom tooth growing sideways on the upper right? Yes. That one. Denture plate made that's never fit correctly. Whoopee... However, I digress...
Needless to say I've had an extreme fear of ANYTHING dental after that. But, in order to preserve my remaining teeth, cleaning and a checkup had to be done as I feared I had a *gasp* cavity or two forming, which can happen when medications make you throw up... it damages the enamel of the teeth, weakening them. I said my prayers, checked my insurance, and was blessed with Dr. Megan Brown Klope at Indian Hills Dentistry in Murfreesboro, TN. The entire staff, from bubbly Val at the front desk, to the gals in the back, are ALL so geared to making one feel comfortable that I got over my extreme fear by the middle of the visit. Dr. Klope is amazing. You can tell by the staff, before you ever meet her, that she will be gentle, kind, and no one to fear.
I go to my twice yearly visits with a smile and a giggle as it's FUN to visit! I had two visits in the last few weeks... the first was a denture re-line to make the darned thing fit better, and Chinaa (pronounced "Sha-nay") did a great job with that... we had fun with the molding and fitting and watching whatever was on the TV as this was going on... then went back a couple of weeks later to see Ashley for my cleaning and to see Dr. Klope for her to make sure all was well... thumbs up on that! (Yay me!) I love how Ashley could do the cleaning with a water pic like thing instead of the usual manual scraping with those instruments that takes much longer... she only used one of those here and there, and then a polish with great smelling and tasting stuff, and I was done! (Bite wing X-rays were done when I first got there, of course...) A goody bag of toothbrush, floss, and denture adhesive (LOL) plus my next appointment in six months and I was laughing my way out of there...
I highly recommend my girls if you want excellent dental care... a gentle dental experience... and just a really caring environment. read more
