The company my dentist worked for was recently sold. I need a cleaning while waiting for him to find a new place . My husband called and made an appointment for me for a cleaning with Barfield Dental. Barfield Dental was able to book super fast for a cleaning. Also needed a crown glued back that popped while flossing. The booker refused, said I'd have to buy a whole new crown (without even seeing it) but would do the cleaning. Asked my husband to cancel the appointment. He asked the booker the reason for the refusal to simply glue the crown back and she said because the dentist didn't know the material used to make the crown (eye roll), and that's their policy. I'm fine with dentists making a profit on crowns, etc. , that's how they pay salaries and keep the lights on so to speak but not okay with taking advantage of clients, charging for an expensive crown when likely one that isn't needed but she said that a whole new crown is their policy, either way. The upside is Barfield is one of the dental offices that is close by and in an emergency I'd not book go to their office. read more

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and thorough and honest dental care. My kids like the staff and experience as well.

Edit: Someone called me back this afternoon to "get to the bottom of it". She was nice, sounded sincere and said they didn't have any issues with their phones. That doesn't change the fact that I did not get a follow up call until the Yelp Review (which they cited as the reason for calling me). Yelp does not display my phone number so it must have come from their own caller ID? So that in itself says something.... Upped a star for effort. Well I can't really say whether they are good or not since I have tried all morning to make an appointment. You can't do it online, their captcha is not valid. IF you can get someone to answer the phone, that's kind of miraculous. I finally just did, twice and they hung up on me both times when I requested an appointment. I've been going to this dentist , dr lee for pretty much my whole life. I'm 22 years old and I've only ever had one bad experience. it wasn't even that bad I just didnt like the lady who did my teeth clean that day and when I came in for a complaint about my tooth pain she completely brushed it off unlike dr Lee. he saw the issue and fixed it and I walked out of the office pain free. otherwise I love all of the staff. read more

I visited Barfield today for a tooth whitening procedure that was advertised. I booked my appointment by phone over a week ago. I was disappointed at how unprofessional the staff behaved. I was asked to wait while two ladies gossiped behind the desk only to be told that they didn't have an appointment on the books for me. To add insult to injury the clerk tried to sale me a take home whitening kit at an astronomical price, unbelievable. read more

Holly is WONDERFUL! I have gone here for several years now. She cleans my teeth very well, is careful, pleasant to chat with a bit, and is the best flosser! I have been a long time patient at Barfield Dental, but will not be returning. At my last cleaning after the cleaning was done and the dentist came over to check me out, I felt like I was a child being scolded, he looked at my bottom teeth, and I guess I grind my teeth at night so naturally there was some wear that he saw , so instead of talking to me about the problem, he rudely said something smart about it and walked off. Very difficult to get an appointment. They don't respond to email or phone messages. The one appointment I did have was rushed. They did not do a complete cleaning as they left spots that my previous dentist was always able to clean. They also missed diagnosing a large cavity and now I need to have a crown. The dentist spent less than a minute after the hygienist was finished. I know it was during Covid but I think they could have done a much better job. read more

When I arrived, I was greeted by extremely friendly staff. I waited less than 5 minutes for Holly to take me back to have my exam, x rays & teeth cleaning. I really enjoyed Holly working on my teeth. She made sure I was comfortable, explained everything she was doing & asked if I was doing okay. Dr. Lee came in to do my exam after Holly was finished. He explained I needed a little work done & that they would be happy to get me scheduled. Holly walked me up front to discuss my treatment & Megan got me scheduled. I loved my visit. I have crazy dental phobia... like really bad. Cried through my entire laat visit at another dentist and that was after a lot of drugs. I didnt have any anxiety here. It was like it disappeared as soon as I met Dr.Lee. very nice staff and very very comforting. I did warn them I may cry- no need for that! The sound always gets me but they have headphones and let you pick a movie for procedures! I may actually go as often as I'm supposed to now that I found an office that puts me as ease instead of drugging me stupid. read more

The Dentist is fine but the gal who is in charge of billing is out to lunch. Had to go back 4 different times because she would charge me 3 or 4 times what my co-payment through my insurance was supposed to be. Her excuse always is and what she tells everyone that comes in there, "Oh the internet is slow today.." I don't think she knows her job and when I would get the bill from my insurance it was always different. What she was supposed to charge was always less than what she had charged me. Got tired of going back because of the discrepancy in the bills. I guess most people don't care after they've paid it but every time what she charged me it was wrong. Too bad liked the dentist but the gal in charge of billing is incompetent. Every dentist has one hand in your mouth and the other in your pocket but there's no need to ream somebody everytime. dentist may be fine, but his office is horrible. I just paid the full cost of a crown that would have been covered by insurance if they had bothered to submit the claim. The short story is that the office is incompetent and 'forgets' to submit your bill to the insurance company. They don't bother telling you until it's too late for you to submit the bill yourself, so you are on the hook for everything. Then they claim that they submitted the bill to insurance, but cannot prove it. In Tennessee, that means you have to pay the bill. So whether he's a good dentist or not, stay away because you will be getting bills for years. Horrible, unethical office. read more

Barfield Crescent Dental is a wonderful environment for the entire family. Dr. Jaime Lee is both gentle and patient with children and informative, yet strategic with adolescents/adults.
