I had my teeth cleaned and filings done on Tuesday, September 29th. Abi was my hygienist for the cleaning, which I knew was going to be unpleasant since I hadn't been to the dentist in a while. She made the experience so nice! We watched Gilmore Girls and talked while she worked (when I could talk), and she just made the time as comfortable and enjoyable for me as possible. All the people there are really nice, but Abi gets a gold star and an Awesome mention because of that day. Thanks, Abi! I had an amazing appointment with Mia who is the aesthetician at Three Rivers Aesthetics, which is inside the dentist office. She has 10 years experience and is very reassuring, explains everything, listens to your fears and goals. I would highly recommend her for facials, peels, lasers and medical grade skincare. This is a review about the importance of transparency. I broke a tooth and could not get in to my regular dentist. My fiancé encouraged me to try Three Rivers as he had a good experience. When I called and made the appointment, I told them I broke a tooth and provided my insurance information. I was told I was out of network however, they still encouraged me to come in as the repair would be covered by insurance but not the office visit of $75.00. I go in for my appointment and before anything is started, I told the tech my insurance provider and stated I am out of network. She leaves to go talk to someone about my insurance, returns and tells me "they're looking in to it" and proceeds with x-rays. Finally, the dentist comes in. Yep, I broke a tooth. The dentist left and the tech returns and shows me a price sheet. $1,500 without insurance, $667 with insurance but *surprise* there are complications. When the tech couldn't answer my insurance questions, I was told to ask the front desk. I go to the front desk and not only am I out of network, another *surprise* my insurance did not renew coverage with Three Rivers. When I asked when coverage would be renewed, I was told it could be next week or 90 days. They put me on their notification list. Seriously? Seriously. I have a broken tooth. Why didn't they tell me about the non-renewal when I booked the appointment and gave my insurance information or when I provided my insurance information again at check-in? I paid $75 for 23 minutes in their office and left with the same broken tooth I arrived with. Never again. read more

We went as new patients a couple of months ago and loved them. Very nice and thorough. Then my husband broke a crown and when I made the appointment they sent him a text that they don't take our insurance. He kept the appointment because he was in pain. Turned out they would charge him $1700 over what BCBS would cover after we filed. When he said no thanks, I'll find a new dentist they charged him $150 for the visit where they did nothing. They should have sent out notices to all patients when they dropped BCBS and given us a chance to find a new dentist. Almost felt like we were scammed. read more

I went to my first appointment this morning. The staff was very friendly, however, I saw 4 people for inspection on my teeth, gums and xrays with a lot of wait time inbetween and didn't even get my teeth cleaned. They said they don't guarantee to clean your teeth on your visit. What?? That is what I made the appointment for. This is not a family dentist. Went for dentures and received dentures that made me look like Mr Ed. They also never fit right even after numerous adjustments. I explained exactly what I wanted but received nothing even close. These dentures we never in my mouth more than an hour or two due to pain. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Now I have to pay $1000.00 for new dentures that are right look and fit. Dr Connelly, Dr Ha, and Dr S have been my families dentist for about 8 years. They are reliable, friendly, flexible, and most important cost effective. They explain all of the potential charges, look for options to help, and have an in-house plan if you need it. They have start of the art equipment and I've always been able to make timely appts that fit into my impossible schedule. I very much appreciate the care they've given me and my kiddos over the years. read more

Went here on the recommendation of a family member. Evaluated and at first was going to be able to do a partial plate to fill in missing teeth then came along and said there was an infection under several of the crowns. Anyway several extractions and visits later the process had progressed to dentures. Temporary dentures never fit in mouth properly and was told not enough bone structure to support regular dentures and implants were needed to hold in place. I questioned how after all of the scans and x-rays did anyone not see this before my teeth were pulled. Needless to say nobody had a straight answer only an treatment plan north of 20k bucks which is absolutely ridiculous. Not going back and would highly recommend anyone considering going here do your homework first. read more

I would have given this place a 5 star rating until I was flat out lied to by whoever is in control of the billing. I got an initial exam done and I called before I went in to verify that my insurance would cover what I was getting done. I was told yes it would and there would be no additional costs. I asked again while I was there at the office if there would be any additional costs. I was assured that my insurance would cover everything. Two months later they are saying I owe $39 and there was a miscommunication. I don't understand why it's so hard to keep your word. Don't tell someone that there's no additional payment and then two months later say there's a fee you owe. It's not the point of the amount, it's the principle. Stay away from this place unless you want to be lied to. I had planned on getting additional work done later including a cleaning treatment and wisdom teeth removal. Keep your word and don't try to make your clients out to be liars or feel bad. read more

Seth the hygienist very rude and afraid of patients. He cleaned area before me like person had severe germs or something. Seth then be about 4 foot away and afraid be near patients. Seth over niceness comes off as not know what doing and he had have other worker help him. Dr. Connolly rude. He not introduce himself and no greeting to the practice. Dr. Connolly also like afraid of people. I would not recommend. Front desk also not smooth appointment. I would never recommend go there. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I'm baffled by the numerous good reviews I've seen about this place. I was underwhelmed on my very first visit but gave them a chance since I had family members who go here. I have Invisalign and was told by the dentist that he could not do a filling. Later on when they want more insurance money for doing pointless x-rays he wanted to switch up his story. Bottom line they try to push unnecessary procedures, the staff isn't the friendliest and the dentist is just another fake, arrogant and rude doctor that just wants a hefty paycheck. I tried. I knew this place had bad reviews but I wanted to give them benefit of the doubt because most people write bad reviews and not good ones. It's easier. I get that. I did all 9 packets of paperwork before my appointment and had it all emailed. I was told my appointment was at 11AM and since I did paperwork before, I didn't have to come early. I got there at 10:50 and was checked in. Nobody spoke to me for an hour after that. It's 11:53. People who had appointments at 11:30 were taken before me. (6 people to be exact). I just left and of course nobody contacted. They just don't care and it's very clear to see and I feel dumb for giving them any of my time. I used to work at a clinic so I 100% understand how this works and what the staff has to do, but wow my clinic NEVER pulled this nonsense. We made sure we communicated with our clients and kept them updated on their appointment or if we were running behind or anything just to make sure they knew we saw them and were going to take care of them because we cared. This place is the opposite and I am really disappointed. read more

Working in dentistry for over 30 years in Atlanta my expectations are very very high of the dentist. I tried to go in with an open mind. Without going into all the boring details, I will just say that a year has gone by and I still do not have an acceptable implant crown in my mouth. Part of the problem, although everyone is pleasant, no one listens to what you are saying. Communication needs some serious work in this practice. Every time I went in for a restorative appointment, I did not feel like they were fully prepared and ready for me. After an assistant using a high speed hand piece in my mouth( which is illegal and the OM didn't know that) , to Hipaa violations, to the abutment of my implant being put back in backwards( which I called immediately and was told, " it can only go on one way") , as a consumer that was a dental assistant for 15 yrs and an OM for another 15, I definitely know dentistry and how things are done. We have decided to part ways, and the right thing would be to refund me in full but apparently this is not how they operate. So now I will be coming out of pocket for this again. And don't even get me started on the shotty job of work done in the other side. Cosmetic dentistry should be taken off their window, bc this is clearly not the practice for that. read more

We started at this office when we moved to Murfreesboro. It was a small office and we really liked the dentist and staff. Today, I went to get a filling and found out an assistant was to perform my dental work instead of the actual dentist. I was not told ahead of time or anything. When I said I would prefer the dentist do the work, I was invited to leave and find a new dentist. This guy is an asshole. Preparing to move, I knew I would need immediate dental services. I selected this office for their services and excellent reviews. I actually set the appt up before leaving California. I was told by my California dentist I needed a root canal and that other teeth were also in dire need of immediate attention (that I should be careful eating because my tooth could break off). The dentist reviewed the new xrays by their office and wasn't sure I needed a root canal but recommended I see the dentist on staff for the possibility. Dentist Darren was very good--he did not have to perform a root canal and did not find any extreme issues. The repair of 3 teeth, prep for crowns was pretty much painless. My new crowns are beautiful. Staff care about their patients and have a great chair side manner. Office staff are professional and caring. I had scheduled a dental cleaning a month or so prior to the date of service. They sent me a text link to complete patient info prior to the appointment. I completed this portion and they repeatedly sent the same link to complete and I ignored. I arrived 15 minutes earlier than appt. they sent a text to confirm when my arrival in the parking lot? I confirmed and went inside. Two receptionist were on the phone. I waited at the counter and no one greeted me or made eye contact with me to confirm my arrival. I stood there for about a minute and realized no was going to greet or make eye contact. I sat down and noticed there was a monitor check-in so I checked in again. Still no verbal or eye contact acknowledgement. When I noticed (1) of them off the phone I decided to approach the counter again and was ignored to the point of embarrassment! She decided she needed to do her aerobic stretching and assist a co-worker with tag in the back of her pants instead of attending to my presence. So I sat back down and waited for the other receptionist to get off the phone and approached the counter again. She didn't look up from the computer so I leaned in and said excuse me...she replied yes, how can I help you? The entire experience at this office was rude and unpleasant. The sole purpose for the appointment was for a cleaning that I didn't receive but was told I had to come back for the cleaning, that the visit was for consultation only which I was not told that when making the appointment or before I went into the examination room. Poor customer care and below poor communicative skills. Will never go back again and will steer anyone asking for recommendation for them away from them. Unbelievable how our country's care system has gone so far down...no one cares...they don't even want to converse with you or welcome you. The only person who actually introduced themselves to me was Dr. Ha...and she acted as if she was afraid of me...probably because the receptionist told her I was already upset. I would recommend avoiding this office at all costs. My first visit was fine, I even referred my partner to start going to this office. After my cleaning I was told that it was covered by my insurance. Later on, I received a text message with a link to pay my bill. There was no invoice or context as to what the bill was for. I called the office to ask what this bill was for and I was told at this time my cleaning was not covered. A few days later I received a statement in the mail which showed charges for a completely different person, different insurance and different procedures I had not had done on my teeth. I called the office again to clarify why I was receiving a bill for someone else. The person i spoke with advised they had grouped my partner and I onto one plan without our consent. I asked that our accounts be separated going forward and asked to pay the bill over the phone. The total the receptionist gave me was different from the bill I received the day prior so I asked that they explain why it didn't match up. I was placed on hold for awhile and was then told something wasn't adding up and the office manager would need to look at it and follow up with me. A week later I received no follow up and called again. I was told the office manager would call me back by the end of the day. I received no call. I did receive a text message from the office manager, Megan, saying "Please note I did look into your account. I see the treatment provided and talked with the practice owner for an ultimate decision to clear the debt owed from you as determined by your insurance company's policy. Care is not offered based on individual insurance policies instead by the patients individual needs. I understand your frustration and will note the account. " 5 days after this text message I received another bill in the mail and a letter saying I need to find a new dentist. I still have received 0 explanation or accountability for how they set the accounts up without our knowledge or consent to do so. This office is extremely unprofessional, and apparently they are not honoring their words which I have in writing. If you do go here and have any issues, don't expect friendly service, empathy or even a call back read more

I scheduled an appointment with Three Rivers Family Dentistry to get what I thought was an exam and a teeth cleaning. I chose this dentist because they are listed as in-network for my insurance. When I showed up, I had x-rays taken and was promptly given an exam, whereupon I was told I didn't have any cavities and there were no problems. The whole process up to then took maybe 15 minutes. When I was told I would need to make an appointment to have my teeth cleaned, I was surprised and expressed my frustration that I had never been to a dentist where I was told the basic exam and teeth cleaning were on different days. I was told that this was the way they did it at Three Rivers. I was also told that instead of the basic cleaning, I needed the more expensive deep cleaning that would take one and a half hours or more. When I balked at that, I was told that it would be "illegal" to give me the standard cleaning. When I complained to the office manager, the manager told me that if I didn't like it I could find another dentist and told me to leave. As I walked out of her office, I attempted to pick up one of her business cards that were displayed on her desk, she physically grabbed the card out of my hand and said that she didn't want me to know who she was. Frustrated, I immediately left however I was able to get her card from a lobby display rack. I intend to complain to the state's licensing board and to my insurance company. Our family has been to this place for a few years, date back to their early open date. Never had any problem until I recently had ONE filling which I already paid after the service. Some how they sent claim to my Dental Insurance that I had 2 fillings instead of 1. One of the filling they claimed was a missing tooth that my Dental Surgeon gave us a copy of the xray to prove I don't have tooth number 16 that they claimed. My pregnant wife went to the office with the xray and talked to Susie the receptionist. Never before, she was mean and had attitude toward my wife, threatened she'll send to the collect agent if we don't pay. This office was always nice to us that's why we had been coming here for years. But I guess they have enough patients now that they do not care about customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We will cancel our next appointments and look for another place. read more

This has to be the worst dentist I've ever been to I broke my crown in October at first I was so happy they were able to get me in the staff was super nice but then I got my first temporary waiting for my crown it was awful misshaped and I was advised it was temp.so I dealt with it after 3 weeks I got my crown it did have to be resent because it was to long then I waited with another mis sharpen temporary but that was okay cause I knew they were working on it. Thankfully after 2 whole months and many appointments I got my crown was so happy even worked on a treatment plan with the dentist to fix some issues and then my crown cracked at the top let's put aside the fact I went in because of a horrible taste in my mouth since I got the crown and was told I needed some gum workthankfully it broke a on Christmas so went back in, again said we will replace it "we got you" replacement comes in it literally hooks under I don't know it baffles me cause it was already done how could this be so wrong..then so nicely I was told I have to replace it somewhere else ironically though the temp they gave me is the best looking replacement so far...don't ever go there read more

They are very gentle and go beyond X-rays showing you color pics and letting you know what needs work. They are experts and I wouldn't want anyone else dealing with my smile. VERY nice facility! Waiting room is comfortable, the patient rooms themselves are very comfortable, having tv on the ceiling and wall -- which makes SO much more sense since the patient spends the majority of the visit leaned back the chair. :) The hygienists are very friendly. The instruments seem to be new and the processes seem to be gentle and easy. However, I am not satisfied with the care I have received. I was told that I had multiple cavities and that one tooth was so bad as to require a crown. Since I had not been to a dentist in several years and my back right tooth was starting to hurt occasionally, this made sense to me -- a bit shocking, but not out of the question. Since I could, I got them taken care of ASAP. However, ALL of the teeth that were filled by his office are now sensitive to heat and cold. The crowned tooth still hurts periodically. Dr. Connolly hasn't really addressed my concerns. In the beginning, said that the nerves were agitated by the procedures but would calm down. A month or so later, said that it was probably due to the crown and fillings being too high and adjusted them. At my six month check-up said the same thing regarding the fillings and that I probably need a root canal on the crowned tooth. !!! What?! I went to his office to have my teeth maintained and have issues remedied but have had MORE pain and discomfort since the issues were "fixed." Soo -- if you have no problems with your teeth, by all means, go. Office is super nice but the dentist does not seem to really care about the care given. read more
