After two or three weeks, I emailed Roe to see if she would contact me for a make-up appointment. After about a week, she replied that she would try to "squeeze me in." This was very off-putting. Also, their pay-out policy is strange. I have been consigning clothes for a long time, and I have never dealt with a business like this where we have to beg them to take our things. Very disappointing. It would have been nice not to have to go into SF where there is a wonderful consignment shop. Guess I'm going to SF from now on.

We wanted to pick inside and their sales clerks were actually busy rearranging the displays and sorting out piles of clothes, yet they both stopped and greater us. Not only that, they proceeded with friendly chatter about our dog (who loves the attention and was happy to say hello, tail wagging and all), then about men's short coat my wife glanced at. At the same time, there was nothing pushy in their behavior. When sales people know how to strike just the right balance between being human and their sales duties, it's a big plus and a rare occurrence nowadays. Even though it clearly looked like we were just browsing and unlikely to buy anything, they had been just as friendly and nice as they would have been to someone leaving a cash load there, and that alone deserves an appreciative 5 stars from me. I snapped multiple photos of their offerings so you could easily imagine the kind of stuff they sell.

The sales associate never introduced herself, was unfriendly from the start, and spent our entire visit following us around the store. Rather than offering assistance or creating a welcoming atmosphere, her behavior made us feel watched and judged. It was impossible to shop comfortably. As visitors from the East Coast, we're very familiar with boutique shopping and understand attentive customer service. This was not that. Good boutiques make customers feel welcome, not like suspects under surveillance. It's unfortunate because we came ready to spend a significant amount of money, but chose to take our business elsewhere.

My husband & I have been in Healdsburg for this entire week and have found all shop keepers, restaurants, and servers to be so friendly and welcoming until today. B Real was such a disappointment. The store attendant, a short woman with short gray hair around 60's to 70's, actually closed and locked the door in my face at 4:50pm-10 minutes earlier than the closing time posted on the door. Their website shows closing to be 6pm. Obviously-posted closing times for B Real mean nothing to this store B Real!! Since there were other women still shopping inside the store I knocked on the window and pointed to my watch stating it is not 5pm yet! When she finally let the other women out of the store, still before their posted closing time, I said to her, I have been trying to buy this wrap for three days and you were always closed so I rushed here today before your closing time to buy this wrap in the window. She said we are closed and shut the door again in my face. Unbelievable, horrible, retail service. It was 10 minutes until 5pm. Such an unfriendly person. I could have paid for the item and still left before their posted closing time. B Real Boutique in Healdsburg, Ca DOES NOT care about their customer relations or honoring their posted store hours on their door or website. Do not rush to give your business to this shop at B Real in Healdsburg! All of the other stores surrounding this store are eager to offer great service, wonderful products, food and a warm welcome. Unfortunately, I was not able to buy the item I wanted even though I rushed to arrive at 4:50pm to purchase the black & white wrap I had been eyeing for 3 days. Every time I came by this store they were closed. I made sure I arrived before closing today to make this purchase since this was our last day in Healdsburg and NOW it will certainly be the last time we ever attempt to shop at B. Real. You have lost a customer and much good will. We would like to personally thank the other shop keepers who made our shopping experiences in Healdsburg memorable and delightful: Lime Stone, Adele, Lori Austin Gallery, Erickson Fine Art Gallery, Anthem, Mr. Moon's, Bon Ton Baby, Copperfield's Books, Flying Goat Coffee, Angela's Organic Ice Cream, HBG Healdsburg Grill, and KinSmoke BBQ. Each of you and your staff made our week extra special. Thank you! (B Real you should take lessons from your friendly neighbors if you care at all about future customer service.) The antique stores in the area are great, but I feel like Mondern Antiquarium has the widest range of categories.
