After two or three weeks, I emailed Roe to see if she would contact me for a make-up appointment. After about a week, she replied that she would try to "squeeze me in." This was very off-putting. Also, their pay-out policy is strange. I have been consigning clothes for a long time, and I have never dealt with a business like this where we have to beg them to take our things. Very disappointing. It would have been nice not to have to go into SF where there is a wonderful consignment shop. Guess I'm going to SF from now on.

It's a very intimate little space that's located upstairs, a very disabled set of stairs leading to a small room with carefully arranged and hung clothing. There's also small objects of art and stuff also beautiful and surprisingly affordable. What I loved about this place is that it's not one of those high priced places where you walk in thinking because it's consignment or vintage, you're gonna get a good deal-but it's outrageously expensive. Nope. This has so many gorgeous things at unbelievably reasonable prices, you want to get everything! To me, there's a venn diagram of price, quality, and style that's hard to hit. Name Droppers in Salt Lake City Utah is one that does, Clotheshorse Anonymous in Dallas Texas is another, and of course my forever favorite Main Street Rags in California. I have to be honest though - this location is up there and probably my favorite Goodwill I've been to in quite a while. The taste and quality of the items here have a classic vintage 80's edge to them, while still having the $10 a blazer price tag. I loved it and bought 5. This location also had a well organized rack of jeans that I made use of and the service was friendly and kind. Should we be in the area again, we will most definitely be dropping by!

So if you want to go with the flow or be a stuffy oenophile, you'll probably find something you like. Personally, I'm gonna avoid the Healdsburg gear. Scottsdale is its own tourist town, and reppin' another is against city ordinance. (no, not really) Just put your tongue in your cheek, relax and buy something. Buy...not steal.

I mistakenly thought the store was open because the door was wide open, completely missing the closed sign posted on the door. I walked in and my family who was with me followed me in. I was inside looking at the wallets when I heard someone asking why we were inside. An elderly woman, short, with glasses, and a hose running with water continued to rudely usher us out of the store. She complained about us not seeing the sign and continued to attack us for being in the store despite it being closed. We apologized and let her know it was an honest mistake. We were outside the shop at this point. She continued to express herself in an angry and rude tone then insinuated we seemed suspicious because we were near the register. I assume she meant we looked like we might be stealing. In that moment I interrupted her and told her we were sorry, it was an honest mistake, and we were not stealing. I was upset at this point and let her know sternly that we did not appreciate the way she was speaking to us and we would appreciate kindness, especially from an employee/store owner. I told her I would write a review about my experience and here it is. Next time I suggest you calm down, assess the situation and approach potential customers with kindness and ease if you want us to come back. If not, then by all means continue being mean and project your negativity on other people, that will for sure keep people away from the business.

I immediately found the store and tried on a few pieces of clothing and landed buying a blouse and a cropped pants which absolutely love both together! The Salewoman was very helpful and I would definitely come back to shop or even do a mail order if they do them! Tourist
