The baby shop sells baby clothing, accessories, toys, books, teething rings, and more...all beautifully displayed. Confusing situation all around as I have never entered a closed store because generally I'm aware it is closed because the door is not wide open during the day..... I would never give this woman my business. Situation could have been handled way differently. A simple "oh I'm sorry, we're closed right now even though our store door is wide open, please come visit us when we're actually open at X time". Can't imagine she's running a successful business with her approach to customer service.

I had run into a welcoming and more then charismatic gentleman Named James. Turns out he welcomed me in the store and was actually helpful. The women in the store were chatting and could literally care less if I was in there. The women in this company are flat out stuck up and some of the fakest and most unprofessional I have seen. Customer service besides James sucks. Anyway back to my review. James went above and beyond to help me and accommodate me. I purchased 4 bowls and when I went to pick them up in Healdsburg they had 8-10 bowls all the same. The prices were marked $38-41 dollars and the bowls I purchased was $38 and $41. I asked why the difference in price and it was not priced correctly. I asked why am being charged when the tag says $38. The woman who was rude said that's the price and we don't honor the wrong price. Well perhaps doing ones job and pricing correct would solve that. 5 employees in an empty store clearly need to do their job. The fact that this store doesn't honor incorrect pricing is unethical and pathetic. I am not sure if I will shop here again. The experience outside of James was flat out horrible and the fact they don't honor miss tagging is a complete joke. Stop being so damn stuck up and be nice to people.

The antique stores in the area are great, but I feel like Mondern Antiquarium has the widest range of categories. Not only do they offer the usual spread - dining, clothes, old tech, ornaments, stationary, random smaller knick knacks, etc. but they also have larger curiosities like coin lockers, road signs, a large letter "P", etc. My favorite is that they also have a space for partnering with artists, e.g. a section for old books that have been repurposed into journals where I picked up a cute journal. Be aware that if you're coming in during the summer/autumn months that it will be very hot inside!

My wife and I are finishing up a complete remodel (to the studs) of a second home in Occidental (and are buying another property there as well). We need to furnish the entire house from scratch and are looking for higher-end or unique furniture. When we walked into Saint Dizier on 3/31/16 (my wife was in her business clothes and I was in jeans and a collared shirt) we were not greeted by the two women working, in fact we were completely ignored, then one of them walked past us brusquely with a broom and said "I hate when it rains and all the peddles from the trees get tracked into the store". Uh, then don't open the store when it rains and stay home. We were specifically looking at a suede / leather couch and I actually had a couple of questions (including the availability of complementing pieces) but these two women could not have cared less. I don't have time or patience for bad service and as we walked out of the store there was not even a "thank you, come again or a goodbye". I am going to drop $4-5K on a couch (not including the rest of living room) and outfit 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and a couple of bathrooms. I guess they don't need the business, which is good because they won't be getting mine. Aloof and pretentious service went out of style decades ago... SDH bills itself as a showroom with design "experts" whose purpose is to collaborate with clients - unfortunately they are caught up in their own hype and self-importance... and subsequently just had a big project walk out the door.
