Claims to open at 9am and I arrive and there is no one to be seen, doors are still locked at 9:45 and I'm confused as this seems to be the only store in the area that sells work boots. Might be time to change the opening times if they aren't able to open at 9am as they claim. read more

I wandered in because they had a clearance table with hiking shoes out front. I walked out with new Merrell boots with Vibram soles, Teva sandals and belt. All about 2/3rds what I would have paid at REI. Plenty for both genders to find something of interest....or need. The store is pretty packed with merchandise and a lot is focused on work attire but the young lady that assisted me was cheerful and able to get what I was looking for. if i could rate this store a zero i would. employees were so pushy constantly breathing down my neck. it felt like i was being pressured to buy something and they wouldn't get the hint that i was just looking around the store, and the guy employee was very weird and shady he says he is the ''manager'' when it was very clear he was the owner of the store and it raises an eyebrow on why he doesn't want customers and people to know that he is the owner. a lot of the clothes and shoes prices are very expensive and upscaled from the actual prices on the brands websites it really feels like they were really trying to get as much money out of their unsuspecting customers. i would suggest that no one shops here at all. read more

This store is fantastic! It is tailored toward rugged and durable clothing for outdoor recreation and work which is perfect for me. In a town that has few affordable options, this store's good values are much appreciated. I've never received anything less than wonderful service. Hardwear. in Healdsburg, and its associated store, Everywear (also in Healdsburg and almost directly across the street) are two of my very favorite clothing stores. Hardwear has clothes for the outdoors: working, hiking, mountain biking. I especially like their Carrhartt flannel shirts and the variety of hats and other outdoorsy items. Everywear has clothes for wearing everyday: to work in an office or retail store, out to dinner, or when you take your kid to college. Hardwear has clothes for working in the garden or walking in the park. These are two great stores, right here in Healdsburg. The owners, Paul and Vera, could not be nicer; and their employees Rosa and Jovana are outstanding employees. I live in Healdsburg and like to support our local merchants, rather than buying online. You can not go wrong stepping into Everywear and Hardwear. The atmosphere, high quality merchandise and service are what make them five stars stores. read more

What a wonderful customer service! We bought a jacket because we forgot our in San Francisco and it became super cold in Healdsburg where we stayed for the weekend. Two days later we realized the jacket was too big. The owner was extremely understanding and accomodating and let us exchange it for a smaller size! We had such a great time in the store! This place has everything a man could want in clothes. If you want foul weather gear, boots, heavy duty pants and/or clothing you need to come here. They have a second shop across the street if you can't find exactly what you want. They can supply contractor clothing to everyday clothing to the discerning male. Drop in and shop. read more

Very rude service. The store is crowded and congested. The clothing and shoes are from good brand names but are either at full price or barely marked down. You can find better values elsewhere. The service was the most rude service I have ever experienced. I will shop anywhere else. read more

This store is awesome. They are stocked full on several different sizes on each item...this place is packed with good quality/brand name footwear, vests, jackets, gloves etc. Packed to the ceiling with everything! Prices are right there in line with Amazon- I was told they price check their inventory with Amazon to be competitive, and they are under priced compared to other big name sporting goods stores in Santa Rosa etc. Service was on point. The Manager and his Son were working every time I have shopped there and they are courteous, professional and accommodating. Paul is a remarkable human being who makes the lives of his customers better each day. Why am I on a first name basis with a shoe and clothing Store owner in this age of Internet impersonality? The first time I went to this store, imagine a successful brick and mortar!, I was treated with courtesy and respect. The shoes are more reasonably priced than Amazon or OnlineShoes and much better styles and quality. The first two pairs we got, my mom took right off my feet and my daughter adores! The socks, clothing and specialties for working and rancher stylistas make the rest of us look amazing, too! Thank you, Paul. You rock, and so does your store and the principles you uphold. i recently purchased an pair of in-home slippers and was told if i only wore in the house to make sure they would work to bring them back and return them if it turns out they did NOT work. after wearing around the house for a few hours it was obvious they were not comfortable and would not work for me, so two days later i brought them back to the store with my receipt. it was THEN i was told that they were not refundable and they could only give me a store credit. this information was NEVER provided to me, nor is this verbiage on their receipts. paul, who said he was the "manager" (and i was subsequently advised he is acutally the owner, but it is interesting he did not want to identify himself as such) pointed to a small sign, high up on a post, partially blocked from view and said this is their policy. when i said i would have never purchased them if i was told it was store credit only, he said "my employees don't lie" basically stating that i was lying when i said i was not informed of this policy. this is NOT GOOD customer service and really an unacceptable way to treat a customer. honestly, i am shocked that a business owner in a small town cares so little for their local customers. i am VERY unhappy with my experience at this store. read more
