I like exploring and discovering the unique brands they offer and appreciate that everything is reasonably priced. Cloverdale can be a quiet little town, but Erin Mavis always has a flow of customers come through then I'm there. The staff are friendly and welcoming; there's a real community feel! On my most recent visit I scored a pair of comfortable, light-colored, distressed denim, a cotton sweater, AND a luxurious pair of cashmere fingerless gloves. I'm wearing the gloves now on this cold, gloomy day and love them! Erin Mavis is also currently offering a darling holiday market about a block away, tucked away in a courtyard. I found a great candle and wreath there!

They sell reasonably-priced artisan-made jewelry and candles, as well as some fun vintage finds (clothes, shoes, hats, glassware, houseware...a carefully and artfully curated collection, with some items from the owners' own closets). The hip art on the walls and the prettily potted plants are all for sale. JamJar is my go-to spot for friend gifts, and I recently gifted myself a hip pair of A Mano earrings (thank you, Self!). Don't you love when a store gift wraps for you?! They'll wrap your gift in tissue, and nestle it in a bag with a bow to give your gift that extra polished look. Yes, please! And, thank you! The owners are lovely local ladies invested in our community. Give them a visit and maybe you'll find a gift for yourself too! #womenowned

I found some gorgeous green glass plates and for a price I could not pass up, only $25! There were many different vendors as there are in many antique stores, however this store also has crafts/hand made items. I got two pot holders which were so cute and very thick! There is some sort of insulation inside, not your standard mitt. These were also very affordable $7 and $9 for two different sizes. My final find was some hand made leather items: belts, purses, wallets of different sizes and again the price was very affordable! I decided on this medium wallet at $20. My plates were wrapped up very secure in bubble wrap which is always appreciated for the ride home. Overall, I will be back for sure!!!

There was no one inside but it was a small shop so I figured an employee had stepped in the back or something. About 5 minutes later a woman entered (me thinking it was a customer) and I smiled to which she responded "can't you see we're closed". I was taken aback by her curt comment and replied that I just assumed someone was in the back and her reply was "well obviously no one is in here". Confusing situation all around as I have never entered a closed store because generally I'm aware it is closed because the door is not wide open during the day..... I would never give this woman my business. Situation could have been handled way differently. A simple "oh I'm sorry, we're closed right now even though our store door is wide open, please come visit us when we're actually open at X time". Can't imagine she's running a successful business with her approach to customer service.
