I found the woman with short hair to be very rude. She doesn't understand basic customer service. I brought my items in and she was rude and dismissive. I mentioned that I never received an email confirmation and she went to the computer and began to read my email which they input incorrectly. Her tone changed a bit after she realized their error. Nothing sold, and I came back after making an appointment to pick up my itemSame woman, same rude demeanor. I've made $200 on Poshmark. The commission is 80% and they send you a shipping label for items 5lbs and under for free. I definitely do not recommend this place. read more

I have never been to sisters but was very happy when it moved to a closer shopping area by Lepes. It is a very inviting store, has a wonderful array of bags clothes and shoes, I found the person helping me very happy and kind. I would recommend. I have bought three bags so far. I think that moving has helped the store. read more

Don't consign with Sisters. They are incapable of managing your inventory. Unorganized, they did not do a proper intake and subsequently had an old email address and no phone number for my consignment, from years ago. So they sent any correspondence and messages to an old email. I called 2x left voicemail to inquire about my consignment as well as responding to their email to me ( apparently this did not matter, because it's an old email ) according to Rhonda. So the long and short of it is they donated a brand new pair of boots and tennis shoes amongst other things. Because they did not do a proper intake form. Be weary, this shop will not properly keep track of your items and as the women loudly exclaimed. " I have worked for other consignment companies and we don't call people back." Uh, so have I and yes we always called our clients back. They gave me a small check and exclaimed the rest was donated because it was my responsibility to check in. Which I did with no evail! I sure would like the money for my shoes back, but I'm sure that will never happen. read more

I don't think I will do business with this shop again. I made an appointment to drop off some consignment pieces on August 3rd. I was on time and had to wait for them to arrive and unlock the store, which irritated me as I had a busy day ahead. On August 21st, it dawned on me that I had not heard from them. I called and when I got through was told that my item was consigned on August 11, not sure what the delay was. They had my name misspelled and I hadn't received an email. They are just too disorganized for my taste. There are other consignment stores that seem to have a better grasp on how to run their business. This was actually the second time that I had attempted to do business with Sisters though it was a few years ago, and I had come away with the same taste in my mouth back then too. read more

We had a very unpleasant experience at Sisters today. A nice blouse marked with a fair price was brought by us to the front counter. The sales person and then the owner pointed out spots and stains on the blouse and then raised the price from the tagged marked price!!! She claimed it was a consigned item and therefore her options were limited . Terrible customer service!! read more

Pretty disappointed with the eye rolling owner/manager. We simply asked a question about how their consignment worked because we had a very expensive dress we are looking to sell. The sales girl we asked didn't have the answer but when I was talking to the sales lady my daughter saw the lady at the computer roll her eyes at me. I have just arrived from out of town to visit my family in Sonoma and I had forgotten to pack a cute spring dress for an event I plan to attend tomorrow. My dear stepmother, being the pro-active woman she is, called ahead, with an hour to spare before their closing time of 7 pm, and told them about my dilemma. We arrived just after 6 pm, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. They had a great selection of dresses for me to try on and I ended up walking out with three great dresses, a pair of shoes, and a wonderful black summer hat. Thank you to Sisters for accommodating us in such a short time, and having perfectly priced great consignment clothing, accessories, etc. The staff makes sure they have something for everyone, and make shopping at Sisters a fun experience. Had a few minutes to kill and wandered in here. Reading other reviews I was expecting prices to be much higher than they were. Although higher than other thrift stores, the quality of clothes are much better. You don't have to hunt through junk to get something good and the prices were certainly reasonable. I was immediately able to find something that fit (which is usually nearly impossible even with a whole department store). I'll be back! read more

I consigned clothing and shoes for years at Red Umbrella, and they were not only a great source of added income but a well run shop with professional and welcoming employees. Sadly, when RU closed during the pandemic, I sought other sources, which led me to Sisters. What a fiasco! I had a bad feeling from the start, but decided to give them a try.....I made an appt., and was told via phone to bring a max of 30 items, folded. When I came to the appt., I was told that the clothing had to be on hangers, not folded. The store was a mess, the employee seemed indifferent and annoyed. Long story short, I phoned after 45 days to make an appt. to come in and get a check for the 6 items that sold, and agreed to wait until 60 days. I called again 8 days before the 60 day deadline to let employee (3rd employee I had spoken with), know the day I would be there to pick up unsold items and a check for the 6 sold items, and I also sent an email thru the website just to be sure since I was driving from a distance. When I arrived, a 4th employee knew nothing about the appt., did not have a check for me, and had not pulled my unsold items. Not only that, another consigner came in and was very upset for basically the same situation. Then, a man came in and was livid because it was his 3rd time that he was supposed to meet someone to get paid for services he completed months ago and they did not show up. In a matter of 30 minutes, three people were upset about being treated poorly. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, CHAOTIC DISASTER. read more

The GF I came with loves consignment shops. I had my fave back in Brentwood and they had some great labels. This store had some unique items like athletic gear. I don't see much of that in consignment shops and I'm not sure I would buy items that would be worn when a lot of sweat is produced. Secondly, there was a lingerie section. Another section I wouldn't shop. I loved the discount racks out front but didn't find anything I wanted. Upon entering, the store has that scent, like a Goodwill. It could be improved IMO. The racks are arranged by size and color. They have dresses, jewelry, pants, jackets, hats, scarves and bags. Be sure to check the back! They have shoes for $8. There were a pair of BCBG Girls snakeskin-like heels for that cheap but the tip was a bit scuffed. Cute shop and the trip was a success for my gf. read more

I made appt for this week and was told to bring fall items...Today they refused two items for being too fall ,too soon. Very nice selection of clothes with a ton in all sizes, decent selection of shoes, nice jeans room, but I wish there had been more bags. Cute little store - they did a good job at organizing the clothing by color. Very visually appealing. The only suggestion I would make is maybe an air freshener of sorts. SISTERS is the best local consignment shop for women in Sonoma - maybe even in all of Sonoma County. The owner has an eye for design and fashion - both on the rack and in the displays. Prices are right, especially in this economy. I've found formals, leather jackets, designer outfits, shoes, designer purses, notecards and art, and more in this little shop just off the Sonoma Plaza. The owner and staff are extremely helpful. And you can generally park within the block. From a consignor's viewpoint, the prices are fair. Chris does a wonderful job selecting appropriate items for her store. She knows her clients ands what sells. She markets and merchandises with expertise. I was absolutely shocked with the selection here! And...the selection included BRAND names like Banana Republic, Coach, Dooney & Burke, and even Manolo Blahniks! Love the variety - I had an absolutely blast scoping everything out. It's just an ok place to consign your designer clothing. When they were considering the pieces I brought in, I browsed their sweaters. I was shocked to find one with several holes in it!! I don't shop much period! I happened to wander in while waiting for someone. I do have quite a bit of retail experience. I was very impressed by the quality of merchandise, the displaying, the care taken with respect to sizing, color, tags and so on. The quality of service was on par with excellent department or exclusive boutiques where you are assigned a dressing room and actually get assistance.
