Great value heck impeccabl. got a pair of JBL horn loaded giant two ways for 350$ only needed set of 70$ compression drivers and are now working and are an extremely rare set of horn loaded speakers. plus grabbed a bunch of cab radios and antennas for our cars and all amazing deals. this shop has most anything you'll need from stereos to cds and records to collectibles radio gear and tools. he's got everything!! It's a great little shop with a solid selection, and up until recently I would have recommended it without hesitation. But something I witnessed this past December has been bothering me ever since, and I can't really ignore it anymore. While I was in the store, I overheard the owner, Dana, refer to another employee--who appeared to be special needs--in a way that was honestly shocking. The exact words were: "look, that's my r****d. I make him do whatever I want." The customer they were speaking to looked visibly uncomfortable, and I was too. I've tried to let it go, especially because I've otherwise had positive experiences here, but it's been sitting with me for months. Not only is that kind of language deeply offensive, but I also have a family member who is special needs, and hearing something like that felt like a slap in the face. I'm not posting this lightly. I still think the shop itself has a lot going for it, which makes this even more disappointing. But respect matters, and I hope this is something that gets seriously reflected on.

Love our local bookstores in Healdsburg!…read more Levin is conveniently located right on the Healdsburg Plaza, so we often pop in to browse before or after going to dinner. And it's a go-to stop for gift purchasing (we've purchased board books from here to send to friends who've had babies!). They sell so many treasures! Of course they sell books, but they also sell vinyl records, local art (custom dog paintings caught our eye!!!), games, and more. On our recent visit, we enjoyed looking through their many board games. Need to add a new one to our collection soon. Don't despair, Levin also has an art gallery and sells records and CDs. There are many pages of writing in folders called books. These 'books' are placed on tables and shelves according to category, with signs that require even more reading. Levin's is a wonderland of great books, and so inviting. A clerk spent 15 minutes with us giving useful suggestions for our summer reads collection. There truly is something for everyone here. Except wine. It's good to buy a couple of books for a long plane ride, or other situations where your cell battery died & you might otherwise be forced to observe your surroundings or interact with another human. I had tried to go Monday and Tuesday (but they are closed), so I tried again today. Yippee! Open (Wednesday). My first impression was that it didn't look like there was much here, but I looked deeper and treasures started to pop up everywhere. Maybe not for resellers, but for the average person yes. I took some photos to show you. I had fun. The prices are as you would expect, not high. The staff was nice. The other customers were pleasant. Everything was sorted and signed. I got a cool little Japanese bowl, a cool pink glass, and some hooks for my studio.

The selection of artists and titles is wide, and every imaginable genre of music is represented and for sale. --Tom is knowledgeable and observant, helpful whenever a customer is in need, or would benefit from advice, even if that advice may not lead to a sale. --Tom and I had complex, time consuming and specific business between us but he was able to give me his complete attention without ignoring the many customers wandering through a virtual museum of treasures. --The items for sale are select, often quite rare and collectable. I could spend hours investigating the great number of collectables & rarities and will be doing so on a regular basis. --In my 30 years of living in the West County of Sonoma & spending great amounts of time & money in every "Record Store" (most have come and gone) including the 1 or 2 who still have a shingle on the sidewalk, no other proprietor or record store is even worthy of mentioning in the same sentence.
