I am new in town. I came in to sell a few items as I was trying to downsize my closet. The older women working there was very rude, very closed and cold and treated me like I had come in trying to sell her feces. They do only buy higher end things, and I understand that's frustrating for sellers. Great local gently used shop that offers quality clothing at affordable prices. Every time I head out here for goodies I always come home with an armful of stuff. Quality brands like theory, citizens of humanity, joe's, Tory burch, banana republic, free people, and so much more. I've found great deals on jeans, shoes, tops, jackets and sweaters. One of the best ways to get bangs for your buck are the half off sales that occur each month at the last weekend. They are open a couple days a week every other week and do buy and sell goods. For me, I feel like I get the best bang for my buck on the sale weekends, but standard prices are good considering the brands and original costs for those items if brand new. Shop owner is friendly and staff as well. I always feel like I'm treated with a smile and helpful hands if needed. read more

Offered me $18 for over $90 of brand new items with tags on them. I feel like this store is a rip off. I had driven over 80 miles round trip to get there in traffic, and with a car that gets 15 miles to the gallon, that would not even cover the trip! Would never go back to sell or buy. read more

I brought a bag of cloths to sell.........Keep an eye on the cloths you sell her , she hid the cloths behind the counter , I couldn't see what cloths she kept, ......what a fool I was,........so she was able to buy my $300.00 pair of jeans for $10.00.......Wasn't till I got home that I realized what happened.... :(. As someone who consigns a lot of clothes all over the place, I've gone from loving Launch to feeling pretty neutral about the place. Their consignment system was very fair, and a good way to get a good price for brand name stuff. But they've switched to buying items outright, making them far pickier about what they take, and while a little shot of cash is nice, you end up getting a LOT less money for your clothes. I wouldn't of been able to buy the same volume of clothes at Salvation Army with the cash I got last time. It's a bum deal, and it's bumped them down to the bottom of my list of places I take my stuff to. As a shopper, they have frequent sales (worth showing up for) and good customer service... very helpful and they definitely go the extra mile. read more

Unfortunately very poor customer service. I came from out of town and bought a number of things and I thought one item was $8 but it was actually a VERY POORLY written tag and the item was $18. By the time I got home and called the store there was nothing they could do. I understand that it's MY PROBLEM that I didn't check it but I was caring for my infant while shopping. The point was how I was treated when I called to fix the issue. I thought I had been overcharged and they gave me the second degree until I checked the tags and realized that in their poorly lit store, I misread the tag. I wouldn't have bought the item for $18. Boy, this whole trip was not worth my effort. These little shops wonder why they are losing business? Because they offend customers. read more

Great half off sales at least twice a year. Plus specials on the first Saturday of each month. Add to that a $5 and $10 rack that go even cheaper at least once a week and you get what can be a great deal if you have the time and patience to go through their clothes. I haven't sold here in quite some time because I somehow manage to always go in when the buyer isn't there....and the girls who are there are the time aren't as willing to buy. I love the variety and quality of the clothes in this store. Some vintage. Some name brands. I found my favorite red shoes at Launch. I took a few of my clothes that don't fit anymore to sell, and got no attitude and fair prices. It's tucked away in a little shopping area on Gravenstein Hwy. If I could give negative stars, this would be the place that earned them. I had spoken with Shauna (spelling?) a few weeks back wanting to bring in some clothes for consignment. I dropped by after the first storm in January, and they were closed. I came back on the 13th, and aside from their generosity in letting me use the restroom, after using the restroom, they all of a sudden were very cold and dismissive. Granted, my mind was preoccupied with my Mom's impending death, which I did mention, but I read the reviews on Yelp and picked them since they were so nice on the phone. What especially galled me is that in my initial phone conversation we discussed my offerings, which included a few pieces from Anthropologie,and they seemed to be happy with the selection of clothes that I told them I was bringing in, but they rejected everything, one was was rejected for missing a button, and the other one being "too small". Yes, I am relatively petite, but I do wear 6-8 size clothing, so that shouldn't have been an issue. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated that day. Perhaps we both weren't in a good frame of mind, but I think people should know what treatment was received, and make their own judgment. read more

I never leave Launch empty handed! The accessories are fresh, and often quirky cool pieces that you just can't leave without! The store is always full of new stock, and the pieces are rotated through a pricing scale that ends in a $10.00 rack, then a $5.00 rack. There is a half-off tag each day. It's perfect for when you're looking for a specific piece (ie:white button up blouse), and the employees are SUPER helpful and knowledgable about what is in the store. Not sure if I encountered the owner when I both called and a few days later, went into the store to sell some clothes, but both times, she was not friendly at all. When I came into the store, she abruptly told me that she didn't have time to go through my clothes. She was so rude that I even asked her " Is everything ok?" thinking maybe she just got really bad news or something. I will never go back there. Not sure how she is staying in business with that kind of customer service. This little consignment store is tucked right next to one of my favorite restaurants in Sebastopol so I find myself coming in here quite often. I love this shop for a several reasons. Always good service, not too in your face but are quick to set you up in a dressing room when your arms are starting to overflow. They also always have great music on in that store! I'm also friends with them on Facebook and the owner is always uploading pictures on Facebook so I can see when they get something super cute or awesome. When this store first opened I noticed they had much cheaper lower end clothing like Forever 21 and H&M. Now they seem to carry nicer brands which is turns means higher costs. I personally don't have the budget to be buying a 125 dollar used sundress! But that being said, they do still have some great deals in the stores. I've gotten some of my favorite clothing here! Lots of unique clothes filling the racks. They also have a great selection of shoes that are reasonably priced as well as handmade clothes and jewelry. I've been meaning to talk to some of my friends about booking a private shopping party. Here they close up the shop just for you and friends and they provide snacks and drinks all for free! Gotta make sure to do that! On the selling aspect I've never been overall pleased here. I've brought in lots of clothing and made very little. I sold a super old DKNY shirt to them for two bucks and saw them selling it for 25! I guess they need to keep the doors open somehow. I've been wanting to stop by this store for weeks and finally did two days ago. It is small but well organized (the racks are organized by color) and has items ranging in price from $5-150. The store had the typical dusty smell and feel of most thrift stores, but I found several pieces that I tried on and ended up walking out with a never-worn Calvin Klein cardigan for $20 and a cute tank top for $8. Their $5 rack drops down to $1 on certain days and I signed up for their email list in order to be notified of their semi-annual half off sale :) Glad I gave this little spot a chance! read more

My friend Dominique just had to introduce me to this super cool store and now I love it so much I'm seriously thinking about moving up to Sebastopol! A nice mix of designer, modern, and retro clothes, shoes and accessories plus handmade objects by local artisans and a $5 rack outside. My fave buy? A handmade fabric patch with an iron-on bird, perfect for my "holy" pair of everyday jeans. Next time I'm up in "Earth in Upheaval" territory, instead of lunch I'll do Launch. Anything from Free People to forever 21. I also love that I can find Anthropologie brands without leaving Sonoma County (or paying retail!). 3 stars for the great sales- a little overpriced in there for a lot of what they're carrying, but pretty good prices for designer things, especially with consistent deals. I would give 1 star only for the buying clothes...I came in with three bags of pretty high quality things. Mostly boutique brands, and some from urban outfitters. Looking around, they had a lot of mall brands-forever 21, American rag. SO after a lot of waiting around, the sales associate informs me that they're not interested...In anything. you're not buying sundresses in the springtime? Really? Launch is a staple for us Sebastopol ladies that really don't want to take the trip to Santa Rosa or Petaluma to find cute quality stuff at totally reasonable prices.
