I was lucky they were able to take in the extra items. When they agree to whatever you are bringing do not bring extra. 4 totes is 4 totes. If you have more either warm them that you are bringing more or schedule another appointment. Their space is finite and they only have so much room at any given time. Also no glass items, no picture frames, etc. Glass is a valid safety concern for them with the kids that come in with their folks to shop. Really appreciated how straightforward they were. I was in there not long ago, about a week almost two, I needed some stretching band or some fabric…read morethat would stretch, I bought a fanny pack and it was too small so I was going to alter it. I'm a man, I get that there may not be many men that come into a sewing shop. I also don't care to dress like I'm rich or well off I dress like I did when I was homeless. Anyway, I went in there with my girlfriend, and the women working behind the counter had attitude and this unwarranted disrespect from the get go with me; they wouldn't even look at me or talk to me when I was the one going in there to buy something as a customer and I was the one speaking to them asking where I could find what I was looking for or if they had it. They only looked and talked to my girlfriend, and when I said I needed the material they said a yard minimum mandatory, I didn't need a yard but okay, I tried on multiple accounts in this short lived interaction to be polite and push their disrespect off to the side and be peaceful, but the disrespect continued no matter what the neglect of speaking to me or looking at me continued, and the sense of urgency to get us out of the store was strong, and at a high volume. I did ask "do you all have a problem with men or something?" Trying to see if any men have come in there causing trouble before was my only intent with that question; the woman got so beside herself, and told me I'm not a nice man and had asked why I'm asking that, and I pointed out how they wouldn't look or talk to me when I was the one asking to buy something. They did not care, they flipped the script and acted like I was the problem the whole time. I was so irked about this, because I'm tired of dealing with people that look at me and judge me and treat like s**t just because of how I'm dressed, it doesn't even matter how polite and well spoken I am, but in this instance it was all so unwarranted and unkind and unnecessary. I will be going back there, because I like to sew, and keep my clothes as long as I can because it is hard to find a direct fit. I hope my experience improves with them. The woman who had made the biggest of problems, had worn overalls that had been a tan rust color, with a lot of bumblebees everywhere on them. I was so ready to get what I paid for and get out that I didn't catch any names. That kind of behavior is what urges me to buy online, when really I just want to support local places and buy what I need, no one should have to deal with getting ignored judged and mistreated as a customer or a person just on how they LOOK. If you are working or volunteering, or have problems in your life, or even sh**ty customers, it doesn't give any right to be disrespectful or judgmental or dismissive or any kind of rude behavior towards anyone, especially if it was not warranted. I had tried to go Monday and Tuesday (but they are closed), so I tried again today. Yippee! Open (Wednesday). My first impression was that it didn't look like there was much here, but I looked deeper and treasures started to pop up everywhere. Maybe not for resellers, but for the average person yes. I took some photos to show you. I had fun. The prices are as you would expect, not high. The staff was nice. The other customers were pleasant. Everything was sorted and signed. I got a cool little Japanese bowl, a cool pink glass, and some hooks for my studio.
