this review is for Jason Benli who goes by @hairbyjasonnyc on insta. if I can give him zero stars I would. I paid over $450 for proaddiction and a haircut plus tips. He completly ruined my daughter's hair / leaving some pieces straight some pieces frizzy some pieces curly. His haircut was not even either. my daughter has virgin hair - no color - we did proaddiction 2x before at a different salon and we're always pleased. I was shocked by his results as I never saw in my life such unprofessional work. I showed him pictures of her hair one week later and he replied he did the best that he can and that I should go somewhere else if I am not happy. I asked him to fix it and redo it and he refused - mocked me and laughed and said no. He is extremely dismissive and argumentative. He crossed the line and was really unprofessional. He recently moved from a different salon to this salon because he was argumentative there too and the owner kicked him out. I now have to find someone to fix the mess he created on my daughter's hair because he refused to take care of it. Terrible service. I wouldn't go to him for free! Avoid at all costs. I called and explained ahead of time what I wanted for my appointment and was quoted 300. In the middle of my treatment was then told the price would be double. The guy doing my hair was getting really annoyed with how long my hair was taking to color. I don't have thin white people hair. He then started literally ripping my hair out with a brush. The other stylist saw and was yelling at him. My hair was ruined. It's been over a year since and my hair texture is still not the same. They are not gentle at all. They also bleached and ruined my really expensive sweatshirt I wore. And they didn't acknowledge it and told me next time I should wear a nicer top for his instagram video. He reminded me of a movie character because his energy, personality and sense of style is unbelievable. Every girl needs Jason! When I came, I wanted to get a different hairstyle but Jason gave me recommendations of which haircolor, style and haircut would suit me better. He was patient with answering a million of my questions, cheered me up when I was stressed and gave recommendations as far as hair care and products. If I didn't find Jason, I would make a huge mistake: ruin my hair, color it all the time and spend a lot of money on it. Jason was very honest and transparent with me. He told me that my natural hair color was already beautiful and I dint need to spend a lot of money coloring it all the time. It was clear from the beginning that the only thing he cared most about was to make me happy with my new hairstyle. He is so passionate about what he's doing and values connection with his clients, I have never met a hairstylist like him. There is no service in this place. Looks like no one wants to work. Hair stylist just sat there on his phone playing games, totally ignoring us. When the receptionist asked the stylist if he could cut the hair. He still sat there and continued to play his game. The receptionist yelled his names a couple of times and finally responded. He asked another person to work on the hair. Never saw this person before, he didn't speak english, he tried to ask his colleagues for help. They all dont want to help him, so he used his phone to do google Translate to ask if thats a good length. Which i answered yes. So he continued to cut, but suddenly, i guess the stylist finished playing his game he started talking to the guy who is working on the hair. Due to his distraction, this guy made a deep cut on one side. I saw how it happened. He thought i didn't see it, but since he didn't know english, i did not confront him at the moment and wait to see when he would tell me what happened. He was just basically using his body, blocking me from seeing the mistake he made. After a while, the stylist who was playing the game came over, and they both spoke in their lauggage and told me that my son had moved. Therefore, the guy made a deep cut on one side. Would you want to fix it by cutting a bit shorter? I immediately said, " i dont think it was my son he didnt move, but yes please fix the whole" i was watching my son the whole time he was so focused on the phone that he didn't even move much. Even the receptionist came over and said my son is very good and calm. Will not come back again due to a lack of services and an unfriendly environment. He can feel that they workers don't work well together and create this negative environment for all people who were in this establishment. My mom comes here often for her hair. She recently started getting her eyelashes done. The first time it came out fine. This last time (today) a different person did it and there was barely any difference to her eyelashes. Not only that- but her eyes don't even match. She paid $120 for a service that looked like it was done by someone who was not at all a professional. I really don't like posting negative reviews, but when my mom wastes time and money on a service that was not done well at all, I felt it was necessary. We like this salon for the makeup & hair but certainly not eyelash extensions. read more

Everything was going good I checked their Instagram profile and I though l came to the right place but I don't think Jason is professional. I've been painted my hair in another salons for years and never I got an result like this, maybe color can be nice, YES, but the high damage he did to my hair is incredibly (I never wish for anyone to go through this REALLY). My hair is so frizzy, damaged, falls, it feels like bubble gum. The pictures speaks for itselves. As professional he shouldn't accept to paint a hair too light in one session (IN MY OPINION) (other stylists never accepted something like this). Plus he offer me to do a keratin one week after painted my hair. Which professional can offer something like that? knowing the hair is about 80% of damaged, just it can make my hair worst and burn it. I got really disappointed of this place and I don't think I'm the only who feel like this. Because going out from salon was perfect (best example the pictures he post on Instagram) but after first washed I saw the real results. Terrible experience. I usually don't write reviews but this time, I have to warn others. Jason did not listen to what I wanted at all. I asked for a blonde balayage that extended from my roots with absolutely no root shadow, and he basically gave me a grey ombre with a 6 inch root shadow (that doesn't even match my natural hair color). Also, I had to pay over $400 for the balayage, when he advertised a price of $200. The assistants were very sweet, but Jason always seemed to be in a hurry and was very aggressive with the whole process. It gave me a headache. Do not go to this salon!! I have to go to a different salon now to get this mess fixed. read more

Came to this salon today for the first time after passing by a few times and loved the energy in there! All of the staff were fully masked and even cleaning/disinfecting a lot! The place seemed super sanitized. Other than this, my keratin came out beautiful! I was nervous about getting keratin done as it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect but it came out so silky and nice ! Thank you!! read more
