super rude staff. I went in today to have lunch with friends and our kids for my birthday. Right off the bat we were told the tip would automatically be added to the bill for our party of ten (ish, two were babies) which we said was fine but she came off very rude about it. We had two young kids who got the chicken tenders and didn't come out and complain to anyone but they didn't touch their chicken due to how greasy it was. When asked if they just wanted a flat bread with pepperoni instead they were ecstatic. Our waitress said that the pepperoni flat bread is greasy. We said of course but that's normal, the breaded chicken was almost soggy with grease and there was an oil puddle underneath. The chef came out shortly after just to ask us the same thing BUT she was SUPER rude about it, she didn't even let us explain, scoffed a sarcastic reply and stormed off. THESE ARE KIDS for crying out loud. We didn't even ask for the chicken to be taken off our bill, they did it on their own. Then our waitress was physically making faces when splitting our bill. We always tip everywhere we go, we also have worked in customer service and understand the struggle but this was something else. This was just unprofessional of the staff period. I'm annoyed that we HAD to tip her $40 dollars when she was being so bluntly rude to us all. I had been here once before but I will not be returning again. Sad sad people. read more

I had such an amazing time at the mainzer as soon as I walked in I made my way to have a seat a the bar, I was greeted by a sweet bartender who's name is " Haven" I believe, she was so bright and talkative and I appreciated that especially since I was dining alone, the drinks she made were soooo delicious, I ordered the tequila tajin drink and it was 10/10 I also ordered the royale burger with cheese and it was cooked to perfection, the fries were nicely salted and crispy and also the sauce that they have is like no other I've ever tasted. if you want delicious drinks ask for Haven at the bar! and if you want quality fine dining food I would definitely eat here, I had an amazing experience and I will be returning, thankyou so much mainzer! and a special thankyou to Haven for making my experience memorable! read more

I've made a habit to always try the best notable restaurants places in my area, with full confidence I can say this is the best restaurant place I know. I tried the burgers which were 100%. I also tried the Fried Chicken which was very tasty, it has the most delectable flavor profiles I've ever experienced. The ambiance is sensible and draws a younger crowd. Mainzer does it right! The food is impeccable and dreamy, it leaves you filled which as an American is a sign of a good meal. ;) The service is very friendly with amazing knowledge, I had the chance to speak with the Director who gave me his card to try their newest restaurants at El Capitan. Horrible experience here with my coworkers. We were all meeting up to celebrate and the manager ruined the whole experience. She was extremely rude and I'm sure she's gotten many complaints before based on her service. My daughters and I came here for dinner the other night after going to the movie theater. We were greeted by a super friendly and courteous host named Jackie, who quickly seated us at our table and made sure we were comfortable. Jackie was very attentive and made sure the waitress knew we were ready to order fairly quickly, since it was kinda late and we were pretty hungry. We ordered a few things to share. Our appetizer was the braised short rib nachos, which were very tasty and probably our favorite. The southwest salad was good, but we should have asked for more dressing. I realize it's the same meat before never once did my son get a new meat in his burger my son isn't picky but he couldn't even eat his meal cause he said it was gross as if it was like rubber and cold. I Order a cucumber drink which is like 12 or 8 bucks I took a drink it was beyond water down as if they made it and had it set there for 30mins Then gave it to me. Getting our food was an hour or longer and every time they messed up it took longer to get back. It wasn't busy for them to have any excuses on why it was poor customer service and the lack of common sense and how our service was and our meals and drinks was horrible. It gets worst. Lmao I order 2 shots and a Sprite on the side They charged me 58 dollars!!! Like wtf?! We weren't sure how things worked so we grabbed a menu and a drink menu (it's my birthday meal with my wife) sat at a nice table near the window to review before ordering. Only 1 table was taken at this time!!!around 445pm. We were told we had to order before sitting down and I said we are going to order but need to review our choices. No you have to get up ! So two seniors standing reviewing the menu and we ordered and sat down. Another lady came in sat down took the table we wanted and didn't order yet. Nothing was said to her ????? Hmm anyway. My waitress saved the day by her service and professionalism as well as the bar tender who was really nice. There have been a mix of reviews and descriptions of this place. Given that I was staying at the El Capitan Hotel which is almost next door I figured why not. This place is seriously underrated. The place is well-lit, the music is good, the ambience is comfortable, the servers and bartenders are all super happy and engaging, and the beer tasting feature. OMG! Seriously? It's insane. Throw you card down and you have access to 15 taps, charged by the ounce. It was amazing. Food came fast and was solid. It's a restored movie theater so this place has tons of personality. A second chance can be a blessing, but in this case, it was only a chance for somethings to go wrong, and a couple things to go right. The Deluxe Accommodation Burger with bacon is a flavorful seasoned patty topped with a burst of caramelized onion. The tomato was hidden and almost unnecessary, and the bacon was only on half of the burger. My partner in crime and food, comments that his half of the burger, with the bacon, was delicious, though the bacon was chewy. In other words, the bacon is not worth the additional charge. The fries have not changed, soft inside, crispy outside with a near burnt flavor. The Meat Lovers flatbread, was no love of mine. With a layer of grease for your tastebuds to battle, you're lucky to taste the arrabiatta sauce. Though the chunks of bacon and spicy pepperoni pop, they are not plentiful enough. I had no issue with the flatbread itself and feel that this dish might just be something that wasn't quite be my taste. We ordered some tacos while we were at it; Pescado, Pollo, and Carne. Honestly the chicken is a lost cause, I almost feel like they know that the chicken isn't good and thats why they packed the tortilla with sooooo much of it. They don't want and neither do I, hot sauce and salsa can't save this. Little tip before you dig into the crispy fish taco, squeeze of lemon brighten it up and enhances the flavor, the oranges are just sweetness. The epic Taco CARRRRRRNE!!!!! This was a hidden gem amongst tacos. The meat is like slices of butter wrapped up in savory flavors that make you smile. The most disappointing and blandest part of the meal, had to be the nachos. Just like the flatbread, the braised short ribs on these nachos had no flavor. Oddly, they had no texture, making me wonder did they boil this meat to no end in water, rendering it into blobs of nothing. No one wants to eat nothing, taste nothing, pay for nothing. I'm a firm believer in second chances, even thirds, but I think its safe to say I won't be visiting Mainzer anytime soon. The food is certainly not worth the price. read more

I'm never going to Mainzer again. My mother slipped on a wet floor with no wet floor sign present, we told the waitress about it and she tried putting the blame on us saying we weren't supposed to be in that area and that it was closed off; no signs or workers told me such things before hand. She notified the owner of the store and the first thing the owner did was go up stairs to look at the wet surface. When he came back down he looked at me and my parents and walked away. He passed by us 3 times and didn't say a word. No one asked if my mom was okay, not the waitress, not even the owner! We were then seated at a table and we asked to see the manager. We waited for about 10 minutes and he didn't talk to us. The owner does not care about his customers and didn't even ask my mom if she was okay. I didn't even want to order any food because I was shocked and upset that the waitress and the owner don't care about the customers. We just got up and left appalled by our experience read more
