    Plenty to choose from

It's been a while since I've frequented Maine Express. It was nice to be reacquainted with this local spot. Service was great employees ready to serve you once you walk in. Looking for a 1,2,3 item combo this is the place. There are tables to eat inside, but not a lot. Most people do take out. This place has your regular Chinese fast food items. One that stood out was the jalapeño chicken. Don't sleep on this one. Rice and noodles were great too. Plenty of parking in this shopping center. Main Express great place to get your Chinese fast food fix on.

Stopped by to grab a quick bite. Area was very clean, sufficient seating spaces, and quick service. Ordered 2, 2 item combos (one rice/ chow mein, orange chicken, and jalapeño chicken. The other chow mein, bbq pork and coconut shrimp), 4 egg rolls and 4 cream cheese wontons. All the meats were tender and very tasty. Service was fast. They do up charge 85¢ for shrimp and bbq pork. Total was about $31 for all of that and fed about 5 of us. Definitely worth the prices and a decent amount of food. Would recommend if your in the area

Three combo plate. Jalapeño chicken, kung Pao chicken and rice and noodles. Jalapeño chicken was the only good thing.

Tried this spot based off of reviews. The jalapeño chicken was amazing. 5/5 but the rest is a 1. The chicken was boiled in the other items and the rice and noodles were uncooked. The broth from the boiled chicken went into the rice and made me a fried rice soup... not very good at all. Only saving grace was that jalapeño chicken.

I was in the area and I saw Maine Express. I checked their review on Yelp and it was great, so I decided to give it a try. The place was clean. There were many customers ahead of me, but the line moved fast. Almost all the customers were there for to go order. There are indoor seating for dining  in. Their menu includes one, two or three items combo, bowl special and party trays. I ordered three items combo; bbq pork, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. I also ordered coconut shrimp and wonton. I had half chow Mein and half rice. The portion was humongous. The orange chicken was excellent followed by bbq pork. The teriyaki chicken had light teriyaki sauce but it was okay. The service was great and very fast. It's a nice place to stop by if you are in the area. It's a 4.5 stars

Came here on a whim a day before Thanksgiving. I've seen this place a few times, but never went in. Decided to grab some take out and give this place a try. Maine Express is in the same plaza as Superior Grocers and CVS. The parking lot is huge so plenty of spots to park your car. PSA bring your cash! Once you walk in, there are a variety of choices to choose from. There are 1, 2, and 3 item combos. There are individual entrees if you are interested in that instead. The combos are a choice of fried rice, chow mein or half and half of that with a choice of side(s). The service here is great where they give heaping amounts of food! Definitely a plus. Most people that come here just grab to go, but there is also the option to sit down and eat as well. It's a very quick and fast paced vibe. I was slow for my first time here. So many choices! Decided to do chow mein on 2 boxes of 2 item combos. Each box was just under 10 bucks a box. So much good food! Walnut style shrimp without the walnut was really good. Just like how they make it in restaurants. Jalapeno Chicken is like your kung pao chicken. Orange chicken is better than Panda's for sure. Teriyaki chicken is ok, before to keep the box covered or else the meat dries out a bit. You can also ask for the sauce on the side to avoid spillage on your way home. Overall this place is a keeper! Will venture here again and so should you.

A local staple with plenty of good food. Their chow mein noodles are delicious and quite savory. What recently brought me here was their specific BBQ pork which I had been craving. There's a lot around with a similar take, but this one is just right. Don't forget their egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce! Great service every time.

This is me and my family's go to spot for fast Chinese food. We have been coming here ever since we moved to BP and we absolutely love their orange chicken! It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Prices are pretty reasonable and their portions are enough to feed two people or they could serve as two meals which is my case most of the time :)) I ordered their two item combo half fried rice and half chow mein with orange chicken and jalapeño chicken. The orange chicken exquisite like always and their jalapeño chicken has a good hint of spicy (just don't eat the jalapeño by itself if you can't handle spicy otherwise you are gonna end up in pain‍). I saw some reviews saying that their chow mein is burnt but I have never had this experience.

I personally love their spicy wonton soup, but I've also tried the regular soup and the broth is amazing either way. I just prefer the spicier version. It's hard to really say what you should order here, I personally like the spicy wonton soup, but every single one of their appetizers that I have tried are amazing, unfortunately, I haven't tried too many of their main dishes as I tend to be a creature of habit, but I'm sure just like with all the appetizers that I've tried everything you order here will come out amazing. Anytime it's cold or starts to rain, this is my go to spot for a nice warm soup

We've been here a few times and the dongpu fatty pork meat with buns is always a go to. Service is great and the staff are friendly, they only interact with us when we make eye contact which is fine since the establishment is rather small so you don't have to stare across a large open area to try to get someone's attention.

However, if you want to try something a little different, there are some "traditional" Kaiping specialties that I haven't seen on menus anywhere else. I've always come with my family and have received great service because my dad knows the staff. They speak my home dialect so I'm sure there's some bias there. Foodwise, I've tried quite a bit and haven't had any dishes that didn't hit the mark for me. Standouts for me are the big claypot yellow eel rice, their specialty roast goose (the 2 dishes just listed may require a preorder but again, my dad usually handles all the ordering), their beansprout with pig intestine, and their egg plant with salted fish. The claypot rice is ordered by the kilo so really is a big party dish but has nice succulent pieces of eel, really well cooked rice, and then of course the crispy rice at the bottom. The goose is very flavorful and not super gamey, it has more of a meaty texture and bite than the younger poultry an American pallette may be used to so word of warning. I really like the beansprout with pig intestine, again not really gamey but very savory with very tender, fatty pieces of intestine (highly recommend even if you're hesitant with intestine). The eggplant with salted fish is also intensely savory with a pungency from the salted fish that may seem like a lot but melds really well with the sauce and overall flavor of the dish. Though I haven't tried every dish on their menu, I've tried quite a bit and can confidently say they'll bring out some tasty Chinese dishes.

When walk in, there is enough tables on the side to sit down but the service is always warm and nice. I also like to order the house special (soup) style dumplings that are pork filled even though I generally don't eat pork, these dumplings are ground pork and delish and what you would want in a juicy dumpling. The dumpling soup 7/10 I'm not much of a Szechuan flavor girl. I do like it but I don't like it being drenched in it so much. Basically, watch out for the numbness and spiciness in this dish, although the lady taking my order did try to forewarn me by asking for my spice levels before hand. (: otherwise, great choices and great fix for Chinese cuisine! I always seem to order to go so I don't have any pics to attach to this review, but I hope to return soon to update my review.

It really goes to show how the surrounding community that has a balance of different ethnic group comes to appreciation the good flavor and quality of this Chinese cuisine. The services here are very friendly and attentive. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you come in an hour before they close they will let you know that in advance. I think the intent is so you order fast and don't linger. Not a negative for me since my family usually is pretty quick about eating and going. They are also pretty good with customizing their ingredients. My wife is gluten free so we would ask that they not add in soy sauce or oyster sauce in some of the dishes that we know can still work without those two ingredients. You would need to know how to customize it yourself as I don't think they would know what to do if you simply say no gluten. Overall, I really don't have anything negative to say about this place. We walk in hungry and happy and we come out full and satisfied.

She always orders the Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, which she absolutely loves and talks about every visit. This time, I went with the Kung Pao Three Delights, which was solid and flavorful. My only real complaint was the fried rice. It wasn't like any fried rice I've had before--it seemed more like plain rice mixed with soy sauce and just didn't do much for me. Definitely not something I'd order again. That said, my mom would probably give this place 5 stars based on her favorite dish alone. While my experience wasn't quite at that level, the entrée itself was still enjoyable. Overall, I'd return and would recommend.

There's plenty to walk around in the plaza (desserts, pastries, açaí bowls) while you're waiting and even a fountain. Once seated everything moves relatively fast. The menu is extensive, food comes out quickly and fresh, and workers are attentive even though you order through a tablet and it's super busy inside. Food is stellar and of value (6 XLB for $8!), portion sizes are good, and everything is piping hot! The soup dumplings have soo much soup IMO beating out Mama Lu's which is what I would consider to be their nearest competitor. The spicy shrimp wontons are also good, but I think the flavors don't quite hit as well - big pieces of shrimp are enclosed though! The Peppered Beef Udon was great the beef pieces were tender and juicy and great textured noodles. Onion pancakes are a staple along w/cucumber salad (not pictured) , and their pan fried pot stickers are my favorite along with the sauce it comes with. Sooo crispy. Pro tip: If you are a first timer/came from far and waited a while don't let them seat you at the bar the experience is not as nice by far (I saw someone say it's like paying to stare at a wall - I concur) Being seated at a booth or table will allow you the full experience but I do understand there's only a limited amount of room in the bustling place.
