Been here on several occasions. Great hole in the wall to give you some solid Thai food. Usually come in weekdays to avoid the crowd. Service is great, the staff is very welcoming and inviting. Big menu so haven't tried all of it but the staples are great. Papaya salad, larb, pad Thai, and pad see ewe was great.

I recently tried the Pad Thai here, and it was just okay. It wasn't bad by any means, but it felt pretty generic and didn't really stand out compared to other places I've been. The flavors were mild, and I didn't taste anything particularly unique or memorable about the dish. The portion size was decent, and everything seemed fresh, but I was hoping for a bit more depth and character in the flavor. Overall, it's an average option if you're in the area, but not something I'd specifically come back for if I'm craving a really standout Pad Thai. I did however try my boyfriend's garlic pepper chicken dish and I did enjoy that better than my pad Thai to the point he served me some on a separate plate. Staff is nice and welcoming!

Great local Thai food, what else can I say. Prices are reasonable and competitive with other restaurants in the area, portion sizes are large, and everything tastes very fresh. They don't charge extra for side sauces like a lot of places do which is probably my biggest peeve so I'm really happy about that! The pad thai is so flavorful and the pad see ew has that "wok" taste to it that's so good. The papaya salad is SPICY so if you can't take the heat make sure you tell them. This is a go to place for weeknight take out dinner. Only complaint is the parking lot is a pain, it's always absolutely packed and hard to get a spot. Obviously not the restaurant's fault so I'm not rating lower, just a heads up for others.

I meant to take pictures of the food before we ate it....it was so good. -I loved the beef pad see ew, beef was tender and noodles were soft and flavorful. -Thai sausage was new to me and it tastes good, similar taste to the Vietnamese grilled pork sausage. -fried calamari was super crunchy, I just wished the tempura they used was seasoned. -chicken yellow curry was delicious, my friend couldn't stop eating it. I also ordered a mango sticky rice to go. Overall, it's a good spot for some Thai food.

I ordered to pick up orchid pork Thai rice, orange chicken, yellow curry and wontons. The orange chicken was dry and did not appear to be recently cooked (even though it was Saturday and before noon. The orchid rice was good, not great. The yellow curry was very tasty and fresh but I asked for mild and it was pretty spicy. Not much chicken in it. I probably will not be back considering it cost $60 .

A family-owned Thai restaurant near West Covina gave us a little surprise! They close at 9:30pm, which is great for me after shop. Everything we ordered was decent, but the Panang curry was definitely the highlight. The flavor was rich and delicious, and it paired perfectly with steamed rice. The staff were very nice and welcoming. One small suggestion would be to clean the floor more often when tables are cleared, as it would make the dining area feel even more comfortable. Overall, a pleasant Thai spot and a nice surprise in the area.

Love this homey thai restaurant in a super random plaza with lots of asian food. The service is great and the workers are extremely friendly and attentive! Food was delicious, we got the pad thai, tom yum soup, crab fried rice and mango sticky rice. My favorite dishes were the pad thai and tom yum soup, they both were super flavorful and authentic. The crab fried rice was just okay in my opinion and the rice in the mango sticky rice was too liquidy I didn't love it. read more

My neighbor and I were in the area and looking for a dinner spot. We didn't want to over order so we picked out my favorite dish chicken Pad Thai and shrimp fried rice and also two Thai iced teas. They sure cook very fast because within a few minutes we had the Pad Thai then came the rice. I had ordered the Pad Thai medium chili level which was a bit too hot for my neighbor, but fine with me. The food was delicious and I actually had to pack up some to take home because we couldn't finish it all. read more

I've been coming to Orchid Thai on and off for about 6 years whenever I'm in the area, and it never disappoints. This time I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken at a mild spice level, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced--not too spicy but still full of that comforting Thai flavor. The portion was generous too--it easily fed two people! The staff is always friendly, but I have to give a special shoutout to Pam. She is so sweet and always greets you with a warm smile, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to! read more

Late dinner after Disneyland and what a treat for a Thai food. Seated right away not too busy. Ordered place too many selections. The attendant was really pretty and respectful. The place was very simple but clean. We ordered The orchid house special pork with their special sauce with rice was filling. The TomKha with fish fillet soup was gratifying. Warmth and refreshing. Fish fillet was tender and juicy The wanton cream cheese and fried Rangoon wonton were crispy . So delicious once you dipped with sweet and sour sauce. A dinner worth visiting this place . I'm guessing it was their way of making up for it, but that doesn't justify charging me without being transparent. To make matters worse, the bathroom was dirty, which is always a major red flag. My friend really wanted to try the restaurant, so I just let it go and paid. Looking back, I shouldn't have. Moral of the story: If your gut tells you something feels off, trust it and walk away. Don't stay just to be polite--it's your hard-earned money. This experience taught me that from now on, if something doesn't feel right, I won't hesitate to leave, no matter who I'm with or where I am. Transparency is everything to me. They were stocked with buckets of sugary ingredients like some store bought cookie butter stacked on top of some other store bought 'dubai' butter. The mango habanero panini was even worse in that it was more drenched in what also tasted like store-bought habanero sauce, making the panini a dripping mess. But the choice of using what tasted like candied dried mango slices in the sandwich was awful. The flavors just did not marry and it's likely because this is what happens when you have a great idea, but use crap and cheap ingredients to craft something. Maybe they are better known for some other dishes, but the fact that they use store-bought sauces on their sandwiches is pretty tacky. Overall, this place is all hype and no heart. Just a steady flow of clout-chasing customers akin to those that frequent Starbucks as part of a lifestyle. Don't fall for the hype. It's okay to not like something that the masses do.

I really love this place for either dine in or take out food because they never disappoint. To me, it's the only good Thai food around that tastes really authentic. Whether I call in for an order or eat there with a friend, the servers are always friendly and attentive which is a plus in my book. Oh and be sure to try their boba with either milk or Thai tea! I've been in a search to find a boba place in the area that tastes as good as the 626 area and this place is now my go to. Thai tea with boba : super creamy and milky and the perfect amount of sweetness. The boba is chewy and sweet too Egg roll : perfect appetizer because it's nice and crispy and it tastes really good with the dipping sauce they give out Pad Thai chicken : my favorite dish. They cook it perfectly so the noodles are a little chewy and the sauce has really good flavor. Tom ka gain : this comes in a hot pot which is nice to keep the soup warm throughout the meal. It's a sort of sour and spicy soup with coconut milk and chicken. You can also get it with tofu or shrimp My friend also got their dessert roti with condensed milk and I tried a bite of it and it was delicious! Something so good that satisfies my sweet tooth. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, the Tom Yum soup had just the right amount of spice and freshness, and every dish tasted freshly made. I'm very disappointed with my recent order. I ordered tom kha soup with shrimp and a side of rice, and unfortunately both were not fresh. The shrimp appeared black and old; I tried one bite and had to spit it out. The rice also seemed old and was not edible. I ended up wasting over $20 on this order. The Pad Thai fish is really good! Normally I get it with chicken but decided to get the fish. The fillet was very soft and melted in your mouth! I'll try to fish more often. My friend got the Seafood Tom Yum soup in that huge hot pot. We got our free Thai Teas and that paired well with our meal. Very good place! First off the staffs are nice, they are attentive and helpful. I almost always have the yellow curry rice, which is thicker in flavor than other places that I have been. I am hooked by the mango sticky rice, they give me a generous amount of coconut milk, and the rice is sweet! I can just have one order of mango sticky rice to get full. Love! read more

Good service. My water was always filled and the food came out quickly. Nice small quiet place. My friend got the boat noodle and she said it was really good. I got a pad see ewe and the portion was more than filling. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They also have free delivery so I'll try that out next time when I'm too lazy to leave the house read more

Girlfriend and I were looking for a Thai spot locally and we ended up having a lovely lunch at Orchid Thai! Friendly staff with quick preparation and any kind of flavor you are looking for, sweet, savory, spicy or all at once! We recommend the Tom-Kha and Yellow Curry! OMG, this place is so underrated. I've been coming here for the past couple years and ordering pad se ew and it's been consistently good each time. I know my asian foods (I've eaten in Rowland Heights, Irvine, San Diego, Alhambra) and this place beats them all. Everyone Ive taken here loves it. If it ever closes down I'll be so sad. read more

my family and i stop by for LUNCH once in awhile if we cant think of anything else, the food is good and service is good. i rated 4 stars because it gets really warm in the restaurant and having the a/c a little cooler would be nice for us spicy and soup eaters! will be back again :) read more

I tried takeout from this spot, and man, their pad see ew was a total letdown. The beef was crazy chewy, like you're chewing forever and still can't bite through it. Plus, it had way too much fat. If you're going for it, go with the chicken next time for a better experience! read more

I've been eating there since i started working near this area. The food that I always order is very good. My co-workers orders different food and they all taste good. I love the Orchid House Special which is either pork or beef. The meat is well cooked and I love the taste. read more

Thai is my favorite food and this place is super delicious. The Tom yum soup is very satisfying and my favorite dish spicy doodle is perfect amount of spicy . Thai tea was very creamy and refreshing so sweet. Definitely coming back will bring my kiddos next time. read more
