We ordered pumpkin pie to be picked up for Thanksgiving and it was the best Pumpkin pie I have ever had! When we stopped by we also tried some other pies and cake, the cake was SO moist and delicious. Very cute place with yummy variety, worth a stop by! read more

This bakery/café combination is really charming. The décor is simple and cute with some funny sayings and comfortable furniture. The wooden table with bench felt very at home. The employee was polite and helpful. The picture of the fluffernutter cookie online was what really drew me in, unfortunately they did not have them when my husband and I stopped in about a week ago. He got a piece of Reese's pie and a black cherry Italian soda. I got a piece of Butterfinger pie and a peach cream Italian soda. Both of our drinks were smooth and delicious. My husband's Reese's pie was creamy, peanut butter heaven. Unfortunately, my Butterfinger pie didn't hit the same high note. The inside of the pie was filled with a clumpy, flavorless custard. It was the only thing about our experience that was not good. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+. read more

I highly recommend using Main Street Sweets for your next private event. We rented it out for a bridal shower, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. Carrie was extremely helpful with planning, sorting out the details and accommodating all our requests. She made sure we had everything we needed for our event to run smoothly and made us a very tasty dessert buffet. She also went above and beyond by helping us set-up and clean-up all the decorations. My husband had been telling me we needed to try this place for several weeks, and watching to see when they opened. Yesterday we finally had our chance! We stopped in to check their hours and see what they had before dinner. We definitely needed to come back. I love that they're open until 2100 hours, so there's no rush to get there. If you're eating at Public House, Cornucopia, Plank Town, The Peddler, or any other amazing restaurant downtown, Main Street Sweets is the perfect place to go grab a delicious dessert afterwards, and is within easy walking distance. When we went in, we were immediately greeted by the owner, who is such a sweet and kind person. Like genuinely cares about people, and it shows. I love that! There was nothing fake or over the top about her. It was all totally and completely genuine. She answered all of our questions and told us about the amazing desserts she had to offer as well as what was currently baking in the oven. We walked over to Public House for dinner and then came back here for dessert. We ended up with a piece of chocolate cake, a vanilla cheesecake, and a raspberry custard. My husband and I shared the chocolate cake while we were there, and it was amazing. I'm not a big chocolate person, but I would totally come back for that cake! I took mine (the custard and cheesecake) home along with a chai latte. This place is tiny, and really easy to miss if you're not paying attention. But that means it is the best kept secret on Main Street! It has a very comfortable and welcoming vibe in it, and I love that. Would I return? Oh my word, yes! Repeatedly. Both the food and the customer service are totally worth returning for. If you don't take the time to stop in here, you're seriously missing out on an amazing new, small, local, and female-owned business. read more

What a cute gem in downtown Springfield. Finally a shop for sweet desserts and coffee/tea that is open till after dinner. I tried two of their cupcakes today and a slice of pie. The choice is limited since this is just their first week of opening but all choices looked good to me! I settled on a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting (delightfully light cake, a bit heavy on the chocolate), a pumpkin spice cupcake (frosting was delicious, cake a little bit dry) and my favorite of the three: a raspberry vanilla custard pie. Beautiful combination of tart and sweet flavors, and the crumble topping was excellent! The girl helping me was sweet and helpful and the owner (?) came out and talked to me for a bit. The vibe a casual laid-back elegance with some tables to sit. They serve coffee and tea as well. I will most definitely have to come back and try more of their pies and sweets! read more

Very cute spot on Main st. We stopped over after dinner across the street and were not disappointed! It was very cutely decorated and even displayed lots of cute little customer drawings around the restaurant, making it a bit interactive. It felt very bright and welcoming. My husband and I split a gluten free vanilla cupcake. (Not bc we are gluten intolerant, but bc that's what the vanilla cupcakes were). I hadn't planned on eating any, but the hubs pushed it in my face and it was REALLY good! I could smell the vanilla before I even tasted the cupcake. It was moist and flavorful and we didn't miss the gluten at all. Can't wait to come back and try more options! We were the only folks in the place and I'm having difficulty understanding why! The pie crust is flaky and perfect and the whip cream on top of the black bottom coconut cream pie doesn't taste like stabilizers! Great homemade taste! Decided to try this place out on pi day and I'm so glad that I did! Got a piece of coconut cream pie that had a delicious layer of chocolate ganache at the bottom and a slice of raspberry lemonade pie that was to die for! My partner and I ate them up before we could get a picture, but trust me when I say they were big pieces of pie, and they looked beautiful! What a delight to have a sweets bakery in downtown Springfield. Carrie works nonstop to keep her shelves stocked with amazing pies, cookies & cupcakes. I have been in a number of times to pick up pie slices & cupcakes as thank-you's for helpful neighbors & friends...and for myself. And she serves a great cup of coffee in a very pleasnt surrounding! While it not a full spectrum bakery (which Springfield is sorely lacking) , Main Street Sweets is excellent for a cup of coffee with a treat or to take home for a dinner gathering. read more

Went in for a sweet treat - ordered a slice of pumpkin pie - but then, before my order was handled, a man walked in and the attention went directly to him (I am a senior woman) and they talked about what he wanted, what options he could get even though they didn't have it, but they could make it to be ready later, when he could get it, etc etc for what seemed like at least 10 minutes - I finally gave up and walked out... sadly I will not be back - clearly if you are a man your presence will take priority read more
