food amazing service was spot on the ambience was nice but a little bit loud. The outside decks overlooking the river really give you a peaceful setting while we were eating with friends.

Hornet cheesesteak

Came here a month ago but forgot to leave a review. We sat on the back porch. Some nice outdoor seating. Our food was excellent from start to finish. I wanted to try at least a half dozen things on the menu. Ultimately went with the hornet cheesesteak. Delicious. Service was fantastic as well. Seated quickly (although we did make an early reservation) and our servers were great. Place did fill up by the time we left. We will be back.

Sampler platter

If I could give 10 out of 5 stars I would! Such a cool ambiance inside and the food was PHENOMENAL. We were both quite hungry so we ordered the sampler platter and my husband also ordered a bowl of brisket chili and was not disappointed. He's a chili snob and said it was the best chili he's ever had, which says a lot. 4 different homemade sauces - least favorite was cherry bomb but it truly wasn't horrible, just not as amazing as the other 3. The Texas toast served with it was crunchy yet tender. Honestly we took 1/2 of our meals home and look forward to eating them for lunch tomorrow! YUM! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Inside and outside seating overlooking the river. Great view! The waitress Lexi was friendly and welcoming too. Can't wait to come back and try something else. Im certain it will be just as good if not better than what we had tonight :)

Pulled pork with mac & cheese

Cute place with a great deck overlooking the water. Attentive service. The pulled pork was fantastic and didn't require a drop of added sauce beyond what it came with. Brisket had good flavor but was a touch on the dry side. All three sauces were interesting and unique, I had a hard time picking my favorite. Mac & cheese was typical, good but not exciting. Carrots were unique and good. Put beans were my favorite side, but you have to like spicy.

Brisket Bucatini

I've Visited Main Street Smokehouse 3 times now and will be back for many more! The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the owners and staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming. I have a summer place about 20 mins away in Union City, and it is SO nice to have a spot like this nearby, as there is pretty much nothing like it in the area. They know how to mix a proper Old Fashioned! The menu is a great blend of traditional BBQ favorites and some other creative spins - I tried the Brisket Bucatini this weekend and it was out of this world. They do a cold-smoked ribeye and put a different spin on it with a different sauce + accompaniments each week. The smoked trout dip is a great appetizer and a great size portion for sharing. I can't wait to try the Sunday brunch soon! The outdoor space is cozy and has a fantastic scenic view of the river. The owners David and Leeza are great, always making sure you are enjoying your food, taken care of and happy to recommend their menu favorites. They always have good rock music playing and I love the vibe with the albums on the walls. Lastly THANK YOU for being open until 11PM on the weekends! They have a limited late night menu starting at 8:30 PM and it's SO nice to have a spot where you can come in for a later evening bite or a few drinks. Pretty much anything else in the surrounding area closes up at 8 or 9, even on weekends in the summer - so I have a feeling I'll be spending plenty of my evenings here after those long days on the lake.

Left plate has the egg rolls. Back plate is the sampler. Close right plate is the meatballs.

Everything was phenomenal. It was very busy, but we got a table in no time. We ordered our food and even with it being as busy as it was, it really didn't take long at all. The food was amazing. The lamb meatballs are to die for and the egg rolls are incredible. We also had the smokehouse sampler to get a taste of all the different meats and they were all super good. We love the Dragon BBQ sauce!!! Will be back again for sure.

Everything is AMAZING!!! Food is always great, servers are on there A game, bartenders make the BEST drinks! Atmosphere is cozy too.

Our second visit to Brasserie 23 was Valentine's Day brunch. We arrived on time for our reservation…read moreand were promptly seated. Our server Sean was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is clean and attractive. I had the Croque Madame, which was literally perfect, and better than those I had in Paris. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese perfectly melted, the egg perfectly cooked (not runny, not overly hard), the ham perfectly salted. Others in my group enjoyed the Short Ribs Benedict, Grand Bebe, and Tortilla de Patatas. (I'll note our first visit was the morning after a Notre Dame home game, and their stores were depleted: we could have anything on the menu as long as it was chicken. :) The chicken dishes we had that visit were very well done as well - moist and juicy on the inside and lovely on the outside. Obviously we came back, just not after a home game!)

No one enjoyed their dinner. The portions are small, prices are high, the flavor is lacking, and it…read moretook awhile to get our food. Onion Soup Gratinee - $11 - Needed salt and wasn't very flavorful. 2/5 stars. Chorizo and Shrimp - $22 - This was easily the best dish. Cooked well, good flavor, and a decent portion (probably because the price is so high). 4/5 stars. Chicken and Leek Puff Pastry - $26 - The pastry was lacking. It was soggy, weird taste to it, and just not pleasant. The filling was also mediocre. Don't get this. 0/5 stars. L'Entrecote de Paris (Steak Frites) - $45 - The steak was chewy, the fries were over salted. For $45, this was not enough steak, whatsoever. Not like it was a good cut either. It's a rip off. 0/5 stars. Pan Roasted Duck Breast - $36 - My mom and I both ordered this, and we could combine both of our dishes to make ONE duck breast. Portion was horribly small. Never have I ever been given HALF a duck breast. The sauce wasn't good either and it was broken. 2/5 stars cause the rest of it was cooked fine. The birthday dessert was a scoop of ice cream and some stale cinnamon pastry thing. This was wildly bad. If the flavors were on point, the prices would be understandable. But the flavors were bad, the prices are expensive, and we waited a very long time to get our food. We couldn't get into a different restaurant that night (it was a Saturday night on move in weekend), but this one we could get into, and now we know why. Don't go here.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

The service was on the slower side and could have used more attention to detail--coffee refills were missed, and we didn't have spoons to stir our coffee. That said, our server was kind and had a gentle, pleasant demeanor. The food overall was very good. Only one person in our group was disappointed--the chicken and waffles were described as dry, with the chicken coating lacking flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and the desserts were a standout; they were excellent and loved by all. One area that could use improvement is the upstairs bathroom. While it was well stocked with supplies, it needed cleaning. Clear signage for the upstairs restroom and perhaps a nice piece of artwork would also be welcome touches. Overall, a nice brunch experience with great desserts and room for a few improvements.

The staff was pretty nice and we saw at least two staff working really hard. Cons: -for $48/person the buffet was mediocre -the staff just stood around mostly and joked/talked. I'm fine with this as I was a server once but when it takes 20 min to get water after requesting and you see your server standing and joking for 10 min of those 20 min it's hard to think highly of them. However, I should explain that there were two staff members that we saw that were just flying around. There were a couple more that I saw moving quickly when I saw them so they could also be really fast workers. The problem was just contrast of half the staff not being that active in service was slow. We didn't even know what to do with the buffet and payment after being seated. Overall, I don't think I probably will return at least for a while until the staff gets trained better. I get the feeling it's just that they're young. I'm just surprised as at least when I was a server. I would've been told if you have time to lean you have time to clean or to start congregating.
