Kingbird and the Ordinary is a delightfully beautiful destination for lunch and, if you're lucky enough to get tickets to one of their monthly special multi-course dinners (they sell out fast!) an amazing dining experience!
Chef Ken Miller is an artist in the kitchen! His attitude about purveying the freshest, local, seasonal ingredients and then combining them in unique and innovative ways is extraordinary! You will be pleasantly surprised at, if not in awe of, the dishes set before you! Be guaranteed to try things you've never dreamed of! You won't be disappointed!
Ken's wife, Ashley, is warm and welcoming. She supports her husband beautifully, assists him and staff as needed, is an artist in her own right, and adds such a positive glow to Kingbird's ambiance when she is there!
We've driven an hour and a half for brunch at Kingbird (menu has standards and surprises, all prepared with culinary skill), and are soon to enjoy our second "The Ordinary" multi course dinner.
Highly recommend to locals and also those who don't mind driving a bit because they know that a great meal is about fresh, innovative artistry.
Saying all of this, Kingbird and the Ordinary is NOT stuffy or pretentious. Everyone is welcomed. Atmosphere is casually beautiful. Delightful! read more
