Good, hot food Great staff,etc. BUT, we have a discount card that Schoolcraft High School sells. Discounts at various restaurants in and around the local area. We've bought these cards for the past several years. We've patronized participating restaurants who support the area schools. This year, Marjo's has a new policy about these cards. Instead of 5 percent off your tab, they only take 5 percent off of one food item. So, for two breakfasts and drinks our bill was $28.00. Our discount .58, yes 58 cents!!! Very disappointed. Why patronize any place for a .58 discount ??

They were having a live band that evening, which we did not realize until it was time, but it was a nice surprise! We stopped in on an early spring day - everyone is craving the sunshine by the time winter finally breaks in Michigan! We sat in the sunroom area which is SO nice and light, but also insulated enough to stay cozy when it's not quite warm outside just yet!! We sat at a table that was to be very affected by the live band about to come in and set up. No one let us know about this, even though the waitress came and took our order prior - it would have been nice to know ahead of time as we definitely would have chosen a different spot, but we were able to pick up and move ourselves to another table when we realized what was happening! The live music is super fun, but is very loud - just something to be aware of if you don't love that sort of thing - maybe choose a seat inside the main part of the restaurant, if desiring to avoid!! :) Our order was placed behind a very large table. Due to this we had to wait over 30 mins for our 2 person order. Not overly surprising but something to keep in mind - the kitchen is not equipped to keep up with the rest of the rest of the restaurant if working on one large party order! Bonus: the atmosphere was really nice for a long wait! :) Vickers has a nice sized menu with a lot of variety!! We ordered nachos and a chicken sandwich. They have a several choices for sides - this is something I very much appreciate as I don't always want fries or chips with a sandwich! The option to upgrade is a big deal!! I upgraded to a side salad which was a great size and a good amount of toppings to make it very delicious! We will be back to Vickers! A nice, local spot inside of a cute, cozy town!! :)

Made an online order through the new site, ordering was easy, paid…read more Went to pick up the food, and the staff argued about who was in charge of online orders. I stood there for 15 minutes after arriving at the pickup time waiting while they argued about whose responsibility it was to help me. When I finally got my food it looked like it was all there, my fault for not rummaging through it standing at the bar. I drove home, found it missing salad and missing coleslaw. Both steaks were overdone, and the missing sides just made it a less than pleasant experience.

I gotta believe the bare minimum a would be safe to eat at least. This restaurant is not clean ( go look at the kitchen) and the food is not safe to eat. I have been a member of the associated golf club, Angels Crosding in past years and experienced less than good food and service in the past. But they have reached a new low. This year (2019) there were a lot of changes in leadership for the golf course AND the restaurant and I was hopeful things would improve, but wary. I should have been MUCH MORE wary. Tonight May 23, 2019 after playing in league, II decided for the first time in months to try the food. I order a simple dinner, a grilled chicken breast with two sides - price $16.00. It came out fast! In hindsight probably much to fast. I am 68 years old, and need reading glasses to read, and and after this experience I probably should make it a rule to wear them when I eat. Why? Well after a few bites of chicken I thought " this is pretty chewy for chicken" ! I put my glasses on and to my horror, the chicken was raw. I showed the chicken to several people at my table and my server who confirmed it was raw. U fortunately, I had eaten several bites by this time. Plenty to getbgetbvety ill from eating raw chicken. Of course I sent it back. I had NO interest in having it re-prepared. I asked to speak to the kitchen manager who was there - but she was to cowardly to come out to speak with me claiming she was to busy. I say bull to that. My server said I would not be charged (big deal I ate little to nothing) and given my overpriced glass of wine for free. (Who cares about a free glass of wine if I get sick or die) This is wrong. I will be calling the health department tomorrow morning to report this. (if I am not sick or in the hospital) I've heard of other horror stories and it's time the City of Vicksburg to be be held acvountable.
