This was our first time here. One in our party needs Gluten Free so when I read that he could be accommodated we decided to try this restaurant. Everything we had was excellent. I had the Shrimp Scampi with tomatoes and spinach. It was so good. A creamy sauce with an abundance of shrimp and vegetables. The service was quick and our server was accommodating and friendly. Place has a local tavern feel to it. Came here unexpectedly after finding out the Caribbean place next door was closed. For a Friday evening we were lucky able to snag the last unreserved table. Overlooking the menu I really didn't have much of an interest in pub food and decided to go with a small Honolulu Pizza. The pesto sauce and majority of the toppings is what caught my interest so gave it a shot. My grandfather enjoyed his salad. He ordered the fish and chips and was disappointed that it was more of a seafood platter with french fries, onion rings, fried shrimp and two ball looking pieces of fish. I had some of his fries and they were good. I was disappointed that I didn't get a larger pizza. It was quite delicious and exceeded my expectations. The jerk peppers were phenomenal for never having them before. Crust was foldable and had a crisp bite to it too. Would order this again! Red Head was the live music performing tonight. They kicked off at 6:30, they also blew out my facing ear twice getting tuned up. They draw an older crowd which means to me quality music. Didn't get to listen to much but enjoyed what I heard. Would agree with another yelper that for a small space it was quite loud. If there was windows that opened up that would help, probably catch a few people outside and draw them in. I ordered a basic fish and chips dinner. It arrived basically inedible. The fish was so overcooked, that the fish disintegrated inside the batter, and what was still there was hard. Hubby and I came on a Wednesday or Thursday night when they had $.50 wings. We got 20 assorted flavors and then ordered a calzone to split. Idk if it was a bad night for them, but nothing was really good. There's a "CAROLINA REAPER" flavor for the wings.. I was expecting it to burn my face off considering it was in all upper case letters on the menu, but it was a huge let down. Not in the least bit spicy, their regular spicy buffalo is hotter. The Jamaican Jerk... lol tastes like they just fried the wings and tossed it in some kind of McCormick seasoning and called it jerk, it was also too salty. Our favorite part of the whole meal that night was the blue cheese and carrot sticks.. what does that tell you? Anyways, we were invited out last Friday night, and our friends picked Main Street Grille, honestly after the experience we had on $.50 wing day, we weren't too interested, but met up with them anyways. Idk if it was b/c of the company or the atmosphere or the great live band that was playing, but everything that night was killer! I ordered the Chicken Alfredo, it's lighter than I usually expect for Alfredo sauce, but still had good flavor and the grilled chicken was cooked perfectly. My meal also came with a choice of soup or salad, I picked the French onion soup and it's probably one of my favorite places to get it now lol. Hubby ordered spicy buffalo wings w/ blue cheese and a side of Baked Mac N Cheese. He also enjoyed everything. Their side of baked Mac n cheese is huge! I'm honestly baffled at the two different experiences, and they were only a week apart.. I'm sure we will be back, hopefully it's another great experience! We have ordered take out several times and the food is always very tasty! Our favorites are the pretzels with beer cheese dip, boneless wings for appetizers. We love the short rib sliders, prime rib sandwich with au jus and the short rib pepperdale. Hidden gem for sure! read more

My husband and I stopped in for dinner with our teenage son on a Friday night. The atmosphere was friendly, the food was great, and the band (Peet O Trio) played everything from 60's to present. I got an eggplant pita that was awesome and the guys got a bacon and egg burger and a chicken sandwich. All the food was fresh and very reasonably priced. Overall, very underwhelming. I ordered the pretzels and an eggplant grinder. I wasn't a fan of the onion and peppers on and eggplant grinder. I took them off which is no big deal. Our group had prime rib, eggplant parmigiana, and burgers. No complaints from anyone. The night we went they had a great band (Scantic River Band) which was better then most other local bands. I frequently eat here and have to say the food is usually not bad but honestly that's only when you can actually get it out to you before you die of old age or just all out forget you ordered food an hour and a half ago at all. Not a very large place either which has left my friends and I clueless as to why we would have to wait on food for what feels like forever when there is five waitresses and two women behind the bar. Just one server and a bartender who did not seem to be experienced enough to handle a few tables and a full bar of 8 people. Took 45 minutes for 12 wings as an appetizer (granted we asked for them well done), OH COME ON! They weren't even the right flavor when they got out to us but we were not going to wait another 45 minutes for a re-fire! Sat with an empty pitcher for most of the time after ordering another while staff VISIBLY AND BLATANTLY played on phones. That set me off! To get to the point. I stopped by the Main Street Grille and ordered a large Margherita Pizza take out... It was beyond Awful ! I'm not a 'Foodie', but my guess is the crust was purchased pre-made complete with a swipe of sauce. The pizza was dry, no 'life' meaning It did not have the appearance someone actually made it before putting it in the oven. I'm guessing it was frozen and heated up, that's how bad it was. The shrimp was dry and tasteless. Did I say Awful. I ate some of it hoping I'd 'get over my disappointment' but no such luck, ended up throwing most of my $22 pizza out. It's three hours later and I have an odd chemical taste in my mouth. I'm not not one to post reviews of any kind ( this is my first ever ) . I really wanted my experience to be positive because I believe in supporting local business, but this pizza order was the worst ever. read more

I would give a zero if I could. I have no idea how the food was because we never got it, after waiting an hour and a half (25 minutes of which we were actually waiting for the waitress to greet us). After sitting for 15 minutes or so with no greeting, I went to the bar to get drinks (1 wine, 1 soda). There were about 6-8 people at the bar but the bartender took 5-10 minutes to acknowledge me. Then, no exaggeration, it took ten minutes for her to get our drinks!! These were not complicated! Once I got back to the table, the waitress was finally greeting us, so we immediately ordered, since we had had so much time to peruse the menu. No joke, we waited an HOUR at this point. My salad didn't even make it to the table until after about 55 minutes, which went directly into a Togo box since we had to leave at that point. We paid the bill expecting our old to arrive any minute, since the waitress said it was almost done. We planned on throwing our apparently very complicated meals (a piece of grilled chicken and a grilled chicken salad) into to go boxes as well and eating when we got home hours later after the play we were headed to. Well, with about 5 minutes to spare before the play started, the meals still hadn't arrived, so my friend got her cash back, canceling her order. I stupidly paid with a card but wanted a receipt showing that I wouldn't be charged since we never got our food and had to leav. The waitress said it would take a few minutes be us the manager was ON THE GRILL!! After she went back a couple times, my friend left to get seated at the play and I just had to tell the waitress that this was ridiculous and she needed to go tell the manager he needed to come out immediately to void my check; I'd waited over an hour and a half for a piece of grilled chicken and I simply couldn't wait any longer. So, the manager came out to void the order/my payment. I said, "Excuse me, are you the manager?" He gave no response even though he was about 4 feet from me. I repeated, louder, "Excuse me?" without so much as a glance, he turned back to the kitchen and walked away. Wow. I will never go back, and I will tell as many people as I can that they should not waste thir valuable time at such an unprofessional place. Note: a regular bar patron commented, when I said our waitress hadn't even greeted us, that it was"so busy!" If you've ever worked in a restaurant, you'd know that it is too small to ever be so busy they have to ignore guests!! Also, it really wasn't busy, regardless of size, especially considering that it was a Saturday night. Pathetic all around. read more

The service was horrible. Extremely slow. Took 15 minutes before someone came to our table. We ordered right away and then it took over an hour to receive our order. The restaurant was pretty much empty. The soda was so terrible that we couldn't drink it. They replaced the canister but we decided on water and they still charge us for the original sodas after letting them know we couldn't drink it. The pasta was cold and they put very little marinara sauce on it. We will never go back. I never complain about things on line but this is different it was that bad. Our waitress took 20 minutes between asking for drinks, delivering drinks, asking for entrees, and ordering food. Our waitress never even checked in on us. From the moment we walked in things were not good. Our reservation for 8 was messed up, at 6 pm they were already out of their two daily specials, when one of our party went to order a simple tuna grinder, they were out of tuna also. Six of our party received their order and 2 burgers were charred when the order was medium. Two of the party did not receive their dishes until everyone else was finished. One of the late meals was eggplant parmesan that was supposed to be fried, crunchy on the edges eggplant in a tomato sauce. The eggplant was not breaded and was just plain mush.
