Jamie, the owner of/artist of the shop, is one of a kind. He is true to his own style of his craft, and he excellent at it. My brother is a long time customer of Jamie, and while I was a loyal fan of another artist, I couldn't help but admire Jamie's talent. I had a brief vision of what I wanted, and Jamie took it, ran, and made it 100% better. He crafted it into a stunning piece that I get to wear forever. I can confidently say that no other artist that I have been to would have done the same. I am also familiar and like Jamie's style, which are two important factors in choosing your artist. He was thorough, professional, and clean. The dermal care products he used, during the session and after, are top of the line. People don't consider all the costs that go into tattooing. If you're going to exasperate the largest organ in my body for multiple hours on a gorgeous piece, Jamie is worth every penny. read more

Very rude, i accidentally knocked on the door thinking it was ritual piercing and tattoo, the guy opened the door and immediately started bad mouthing me about the place i was going to go. As someone who works in customer service, it's completely inappropriate to bad mouth someone. When I told the guy at ritual about he he had told me that this guy does it often. That is completely ridiculous, even after hearing he say I shouldn't go there, I decided to continue and guess what! I had a great experience and everything was speedy and fast also cheap. The guy at ritual had nothing bad to say about this asshole at main street and yet the main street guy felt the need to try and make me change my mind. This guy is more worried about making Ritual city look bad than anything at his big ass age . read more

DO NOT GET A TATTOO FROM BRENT. I REPEAT DO NOT GET A TATTOO FROM BRENT. I have had this tattoo for 3 weeks and it looks like it's a decade old. Shitty lines, colors blend where they aren't supposed to, some color is missing altogether, and he did some crosshatch work in some branches, but others no crosshatching. It is by far the worst decision I've made letting him tattoo me. Spent $300 on the worst tattoo I have ever gotten. Now I gotta spend $100+ to touch it up, AND I HAVE HAD IT FOR UNDER ONE MONTH. I have 9 tattoos and I know how to take care of them. DO NOT GO TO BRENT. read more

Main Street Electric Tattoo - I'm about to pay ANOTHER $100 for touch ups after spending $300 on this SHIT tattoo. DO NOT go to Brent. - Tattoo Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

The owner Jamie is an amazing artist and has an eye for tattoos. I have been here multiple times, and have several pieces from him. The shop is clean and the employees are helpful and friendly. All of the artists have their portfolios out in the lobby for clients to look over their work in order to make a decision on an artist. They also sell clothing with artwork from some of the artists for those who aren't ready to make a permanent decision :) I won't be going anywhere else to get tattoo work done. Thumbs up. read more

Went here for a tattoo, and got a tattoo! Everyone working was personable, and kind, and they did quality work. The tattoo turned out great, and all of the artists were clearly knowledgeable not just about tattoos, but about all art. I give them a 5/7, a perfect rating, would wholeheartedly recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I went to Main Street Tattoo today with 3 of my friends. All of us planned on getting tattoos. I went first and told Jamie "the shop owner" my idea. He called it polishing a turd. When I said okay I don't think I'll get one today he proceeded to call me a dick head. Only one of the 3 friends got a tattoo from him and thats because he already put a deposit down. The rest of us went to Mortuary Tattoos and had excellent service. read more

My girl and I both just got sweet ass tattoos here from Adam and Lucas! Easy as heck, polite, and well done! Great atmosphere, cool people, and quality work. read more

Super polite, talented, and professional. Adam rocked a memorial tattoo on my chest, and I couldn't be happier about it. Jamie did a tight ass cowboy cross on my boy too, and it also turned out great, so I know at least 2 of the artists here rock! read more

The shop was easy to find, super clean, and had private rooms which I always prefer over an open floor. I was tattooed by the gorgeous Lana. She fixed up a tattoo I previously had and literally brought new life to it. The lines are clean and the color looks amazing she's definitely my new, permanent artist. read more

Awesome tattoo experience!! I have several tattoos so this isn't my first time in the chair, but is the first time at this shop. Jamie (owner) performed the work and he crushed it. From the first contact via email to the actual tattooing session, and completion, Jamie was courteous and professional. Most importantly, he was able to capture exactly what I was looking for with the tattoo. I will certainly be back for more work soon. Thank you Jamie - Much respect. RM read more

I'll make this as short and simple as I can and if I could, I would give this place a 0. I had a cover up I wanted and I asked this guy, Jamie, for a BEAR to cover up this angel I had done by a homie. I wanted a bear because my bottom half sleeve was Russian inspired so I wanted to keep that theme and told Jamie this as well. We had discussed the bear idea I wanted and this would be tatted on my upper arm area. Jamie said come back in 2 hours while he draws this up. I come back in two hours and this dude had a whole ass tiger drawn up and added extra shit, like wings, that we never talked about?? He's like going hard explaining me his ideas to cover up my angel and I'm like "uhhhhhh I wanted a bear?" And he goes on saying how he is not able to draw a bear and how hard that is. Why didn't you tell me this when I ha FIRST came in asking you for one??????? I effed up because I should have just left after that, knowing I asked and wanted a BEAR, but I let him tattoo it on me anyways because I am young and naive and I just wanted this angel to be covered up!! This picture I have of a bear was what he JUST tattooed on someone a few weeks ago. I thought he couldn't draw bears???????? I am super pissed and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Not only did he not even listen to the idea I wanted tattooed on MY body, but he also made this tattoo wayyyyyyy darker and more male-looking than than the half sleeve I already have tattooed. Like WTF dude! I'm stuck with this shit forever and have to find someone else to fix this shit. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I'll post the pictures on google. read more

The best shop in the east valley! No arrogance or hipster like superiority from the staff. Jamie listens to your idea, and then brings it to life beautifully. You will not be disappointed! I've walked away with two amazing American traditional pieces now and can't imagine letting anyone else work on me. read more

We were referred to Jamie through our friends who had gotten several tattoos done at his shop. We went in Saturday night to put a deposit down for 1 cover up tattoo for my friend, however, I ended putting down a deposit as well for a cover up. Went in Sunday to get it done and they came out awesome. Had a great time sitting in with Jamie and laughing, he was very amusing! The other workers there were also very pleasant and helpful. I would for sure recommend this place to my friends. We will be back soon! read more

Without a doubt, the only place I will go for a Tattoo. I went to Jamie for my first tattoo when he was at his old shop, was glad to see he has his own place now. He does amazing work, all you need to give him is an idea and he will come up with something great...and ORIGINAL. Highly recommended, fair prices and stellar work. read more

Smiles and friendly faces from the minute I walked in. The whole staff was friendly and made sure I was comfy and hydrated. Good conversation got me through the 3 hours of inking and when all was done, we all marveled at Brent Silver's artistry. The owner of this shop jamie is amazing! He's done most of my work and i get compliments daily on how fantastic it is. I recommend him to anyone looking to get quality work. His shop is clean and everyone is so friendly. I've never been disappointed. I first met him in the same location nearly ten years ago. His knowledge and expertise speaks for itself. Go see Aaron! I've been following Aaron from shop to shop for a few years now and REFUSE to see anyone else. He recently just settled into this shop and I like it here a lot. To be honest, I didn't get in the door. I was recommended to the shop by a friend who is fanatical about the owner/artist Jamie. When I presented him with an idea that was very significant to me, he was dismissive of it. He could be bothered to do it, but decided it lacked artistry. It takes a lot of ignorance to decide something needs arbitrary gradients or japanese flowers to suit his aesthetic and ignore the person who will be wearing it forever. I can't speak for the other artists that may be in the shop, but an ego that enormous must influence those around it. His work is the same as many other shops and has the sterotypical attitude to match. It's competent work. read more

I've been getting tattooed by Jamie for almost 20 years, and will only go to him. He has made Main Street what a tattoo shop should be. A clean, drama free shop where you can a tattoo from great artists, at honest prices. read more

Jaime is awesome and I would never get a tattoo from anyone or anywhere else. If you want the best quality tattoo look no further. He's truly talented. The shop is clean and and pricing is good. I wanted a tattoo on the day my dad died and went to him because he was my regular tattoo guy. He was booked. He asked me what I wanted and told him my situation. He said come back tonight I'll get you in. That really stuck with me all these years. I literally get stopped everywhere I go about my tattoos and everyone wants to know who did them. To me that says all that needs to be said. read more

Went to Main Street was not impressed with supposedly a good tattoo artist everyone there is good don't go to Arron Hall 1st time I went to him I got a terrible tattoo and charge me a grip of money not worth paying back to basic for him also gave him a $50 deposit and charge me $300 for a tattoo and took him 2 hours very disappointed read more

I first met Jamie Bartlett (now owner) a few years ago. I came in with one of the most horrific/embarrassing ink jobs that I hid in shame for years. I had this whole idea of what I wanted to cover it with, which was completely unrealistic, something I would later be educated on. I was skeptical at first, being that I already had a bad experience and I can be rather picky in terms of what I envision in my head but I decided to listen to his ideas, as he did with mine, and thus the cover up begun. I can say with certainty that this guy knows what the fuck is up. Not only is it like the old tattoo never existed, but it turned into so much more than I could have ever hoped for, and we're currently adding on more because I was so impressed. I couldn't be more pleased that I found this guy. If anyone is going to complain about prices, there are a million shops that will do it for less, but you have to expect for the quality to be way less too. It's on your body forever! Why be cheap? Best advice I can give from my experience: If you can't afford quality work, don't get any work at all. It costs way more to fix it. All I know is when I'm out and my sleeve is exposed people stop me constantly to admire the amazing art Jamie provided. Thank you Jamie for your wicked art, for making me comfortable in my own skin again, for being hilarious, and being an all around rad dude. Can't wait to get ink blasted some more! read more

I started coming to Jamie Bartlett~Owner~back in 2009. I had just moved here & wanted a great artist with an extra clean shop. He came highly recommended from my cousin who has had several tattoo's done by Jamie along with her son's, husband & a bunch of their friends. He has done 3 great tattoo's for me through the years and 1 just this last week. He is very patient and truly cares how your tattoo will look and provides his professional opinion for you to take it or leave it & I always choose to trust him to put his artistry to work in making an amazing tattoo out of our combined thoughts to make an original/unique piece that I will love for years to come. He is the only artist I want doing my ink!! I've since referred him to my Aunt & my daughter who also love the work he's done for them. He's very honest & dedicated to his work, I had actually overpaid for my daughters 1st tattoo back in December because my deposit was not applied & he caught me in the parking lot to let me know. He offered to refund my card or do a gift certificate & I opted for the gift certificate to use on the one I got last week, for the oversight he added an extra $20 to my GC. Great guy, very precise with his work, a great eye for detail & works in a timely manner, something I thought would take about 2 1/2hrs, he finished in just under 2 hours. He even went the extra mile by walking myself & my daughter out to our cars in the dark parking lot. I highly recommend Main Street Tattoo to anyone looking for a clean & professional shop that will be leaving their mark on you for life!! read more
