Friendly service, and excellent donuts. Gluten free and vegan options clearly labeled. They start with just a couple base flavors for the donuts and then add toppings to create the option you select. This was a small spot that made a number of different and unique donuts. They were made to order so it took some time for everything to be ready. The service was friendly and apologized for the delay even though it was not long at all. Four donuts were ordered and each was of good size. Belmar Bomb ($2.85) - This was a chocolate donut with dulce de leche filing topped with a chocolate drizzle and a sprinkle of toffee. This was not good at all. I am not sure if it was the dulce de leche or toffee, but it just did not work for me. Key Lime Pie - This was a vanilla donut with key lime filling topped with vanilla dip and graham cracker crumbs. This was very tasty. The key lime filling was thick and went well with the donut base. Everything went well with one another. I would have preferred a few more graham cracker crumbs. Lemon Poppyseed - This was another vanilla donut dipped in a lemon glaze sprinkled with poppy seeds. This was another tasty treat. The lemon glaze was sweet, but the presence of the poppy seeds did just enough to offset that a little bit. Peanut Butter & Jelly - This was a vanilla donut filled with raspberry jelly and topped with a vanilla drizzle and homemade peanut butter buttercream. This was unreal. Make sure to study the menu and know what you want before going. The menu is extensive. So many options and they all sound so good. I was in the mood for my standard vanilla frosted with sprinkles but got so much more. The owner was so nice and took her time making each one. They are all made to order! Passed by as we were driving to Asbury Park and had to stop and try them. I follow them on IG and love to see all their posts of their delicious looking donuts. Walked in and on the right of the store they have a display of all the current donuts. They have so many different varieties! Most of them I believe are cake donuts, but their eclair type donuts are yeast donuts. I like both types, I don't discriminate any type of donut. The variety was overwhelming....do I get a seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, or a classic chocolate frosted with sprinkles??? It took us a good while to decide on the one. We ended up getting a chocolate frosted eclair donut. OMG....it was a solid choice. It was big, enough for us to split. It was warm and just so good. They split their filled donuts in half instead of injecting them with cream. There was a good amount of cream to donut ratio. The donut was so fresh. I definitely want to try other types, but since it was not a planned stop and we were going to be eating in a little bit. Looking forward to going back and trying some other varieties. read more

Some of the best donuts I've ever had! I was walking by to grab some breakfast at Comfi next door (which is delicious too) and I noticed a sign for fresh donuts. Of course I had to stop. The owner was so lovely and friendly and makes the donuts right in front of your eyes! I decided on half a dozen so we could try a little of everything. I think my favorite was the lemon meringue. So good! So much flavor in such a small package. The Belmar Bomb was great too. They all had something super special to each one. The cake itself on the donut was also super moist and fresh. My girlfriend stopped in here on a Sunday and brought some home for us. When I saw them in the box I was very excited and wasn't let down. She got the BOSS(ton), S'mores and Oreo flavors. The Oreo was my favorite (usually is) and I liked the chocolate donut as opposed to vanilla or plain that I've had elsewhere. My girlfriend ate the S'mores and loved it, the presentation on this one was great as well. We split the Boss(ton) the next day and I think that's the only one keeping me from a 5-star review. The creme was very tasty but I felt it didn't have enough chocolate icing. The creme is very tough to make well in my opinion and they nailed that part, but felt it needed more than the drizzle of chocolate, maybe a full coating or another layer of - I know, I'm nitpicking. Overall, glad to see there's a newish (I think) option for some donuts in the Belmar area and I look forward to coming back and trying some others and raising my review up to 5 stars. The other pictures here look like they have some really creative stuff. 9/29 Update: 5 STARS!! Soooo, we stopped back in this morning and Paula took care of us, she was beyond nice and friendly and helpful. She was awesome and I noticed she was one of the proprietors. We got the Raspberry Crumb Cake, Cookies and Cream and an Apple Fritter. The Raspberry Crumb is unbelievably good, just make sure you have some napkins because it will be a little messy! Cookies and Cream was great again and my girlfriend loved the apple fritter. Definitely got me up to 5 stars with todays experience! Can't wait to come back and try some more. read more

Stopped in after finding this shop on Find Me GF, and so glad we did! We're in town for a friend's wedding and I always like to explore what kind of Gluten Free treats we can find. The donuts here are absolutely delicious! They have their menu marked with which donuts can be made gluten free, and they have many of their decadent flavors available. This Celiac girl definitely did not feel deprived! I ordered a Boston Cream, Belmar Bomb (fave!!), Brooklyn Blackout, and Chocolate Mousse Crunch. All so yummy. Hubs got a Raspberry Crunch Cake (sadly not available GF- he said it was maybe the best jelly donut he's ever had!) and The Sweet Pig and he loved both. It'll take us a couple of days to finish these babies up, and I'm not mad at that! I believe the owner was there helping us and he was friendly and helpful, and clarified whether I have Celiac to be sure he made the proper recommendations for me. I was there in December which was like 9 months ago and I'm still thinking about this place. (I thought I finished my review then but I guess I forgot) First of all, the donuts are supreme! Nice flavors if you want something sweet. They did the donut toppings in front of us, which was cool. Donuts were super fresh too, as they should be. Second, the owner is the nicest guy!! Main Street dounuts have been on my radar since seeing it listed on Yelp. I really wanted to try and get there when I was in the area. Lucky enough my sisters neighbor was so kind enough to bring us a dozen of these beautifully decorated yummy cake dounts. We decided to cut up each donut into four pieces so we were able to taste them all. Their margarita dounut was sweet, salty loaded with a tangy cream it was unique and tasty. Their chocolate with the chocolate mousse filling was my absolute favorite. We were looking for gluten free donuts while we were in Belmar and came across Main Street Donuts. We ordered a dozen donuts and a half dozen gluten free. They keep the donuts separate and change gloves etc. My daughter felt very comfortable with the GF procedures they had. Both sets of donuts were so good and fresh. Let me just start by saying that you definitely need to check out Main Street Donuts! Stopped in here while waiting for surf taco take out and the donuts looked so good I couldn't even wait to eat it till after my lunch. They have a pretty big menu of donuts with something to please anyone, chocolate lovers, fruit flavors, and even vegan options. They also have some specials that I believe will be rotating so they are worth checking out. Aside from the donuts being absolutely amazing the staff is beyond friendly. They went above and beyond explaining the menu, showing us each donut, and ultimately serving us such a tasty treat. The donuts are also made fresh and to order. So we came in late afternoon and didn't have to pick from a donut that's been sitting around all morning. You literally watch the guy make it for you! OMG!! Back in town for a bit and was looking for some gluten free donuts. Called ahead of time to be sure they had some gf options and the guy on the phone was super nice. Today was our first time here...but it won't be our last! Joe welcomed us in and made an instant friend of our 4 year old. Super quick service with a smile.
