Chicago Italian Beef French Dip
Cindy C.

Yummy lunch in small downtown deli on Main Street. Super friendly staff. We came for breakfast but were too late as it ends at 10:30 am so lunch it was. Half Sandwich & Soup for me and Chicago Style Italian Roast Beef Dip Sandwich & Aunt Linda's Potato Salad. Food made to order and half sandwich can be any except burger or wrap. They had two soups so I got Ham and Beef minestrone

Beef on wick, side of potato salad = awesomeness

This is the quintessential deli. The food is great. Legit homemade deli food. The potato salad is legit. Don come here expecting to some quick throw together meal. They take their time and it shows. I love this about this place. It small, the music was even awesome. This is a place thar if your in Buford you should get a sandwich.

A met a friend for lunch here. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I had a cheesesteak and my friend had the French dip. Both were delicious. The desserts looked delicious but after the sandwiches were were full. The bread on my sandwich was soft and perfect. A cute deli right on the train tracks in adorable downtown Buford. Street parking was easy to find but we were there mid-week.

We ate here today. It was really good and the people were very nice. I got the B's favorite and my husband got the club.

Great food, great service. Ambiance is tables and chairs - like a deli. If that's not enough, the deli was caught on camera during Ozark.

My "Go-to" brunch spot when I'm in Georgia! My first time in…read moreMarch 2025 didn't disappoint and my second time, December 2025, didn't either. The second time I came back we were greeted with a 30-min wait, which was expected due to the weekend and peak hour. But to our surprise we were actually seated within 15-minutes. While we waited, I used the restroom for the first time and it was clean and smelled fresh with cute decor. We were served with drinks right away and our server was very pleasant and accommodating. We looked at the menu beforehand, but last minute my husband and I decided to try recommended dishes. Here's our spread: Strawberry Short stack - 5/5 Sausage and egg biscuit with - 4/5 Cowboy omelette - 5/5 Chicken & Waffles - 5/5 Philly Fries Meal - 5/5 Bottomless Sweet Tea - 5/5 The pancakes were moist and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. My daughter swore she'd eat the entire stack, but of course we knew otherwise. My mother in law enjoyed the sausage and egg biscuit, the sausage was a little more well done than she'd like but everything was seasoned well. The Philly fries were a surprise due to its massive size. My family demolished it. It was seasoned well with the right balance of meat, onions and cheese, my daughter wanted to it all by herself lol. The Cowboy omelette was also massive. The eggs cooked well stuffed with all the fixings - they definitely didn't skimp on it. Topped with fresh guacamole and salsa it was a delight. The chicken and waffles was recommended by our server and my husband was amazed by the whole dish. The balance of sweet and salty and the textures were perfect. The crunch of the chicken didn't take away from the moist meat. He created his "perfect bite" with a piece of chicken and waffles and it was heavenly. I'd definitely get it for myself next time. The waffle had a slight bite but also moist. I've experienced dry waffles before and this proved otherwise. Overall the experience was great. The service was excellent especially during a rush hour. Also we were very happy to see the Christmas decor. It really felt like a hometown feel and we enjoyed every minute. Definitely have Oy! on your list for brunch with the family! I'd visit once a week if I could.

We ordered a few different dishes including steak and eggs, French toast, pancakes with bacon, and a burger with fries. The steak was cooked nicely, but it was a little tough. The French toast was thick and tasty, but it tasted more like bread pudding to me--it wasn't as light and fluffy as traditional French toast. The pancakes were simple but good. Portions were generous and definitely filling. Overall, the food was good, but not quite as impressive as I had expected. I also wish their juice was fresh squeezed. Overall, it's a solid brunch spot, but with a few small improvements it could be even better.

(Which... we did.) Love Potion Latte (Valentine's menu): Absolutely delicious. The strawberry aroma alone could convince someone to fall in love. And served in that giant Rushing Trading mug? Lumberjack Special: That board comes out looking like it's ready to feed a small village. Not a complaint uttered. Service was great, our server was on it, attentive, and basically read our minds the whole time.

The matcha was weak - charge for milk was unexpected, $6.75. The staff were great, the ambience and slight smattering of decor inside was okay. Just not what we anticipated after seeing the description of a blend of European and Southern - small portions for the price. We might try again for other menu items, not planning to go out of our way since there are other more flavorful, better-priced brunch places around. $65.97 later, the two of us are headed to Starbucks for matcha.

We decided to join their waitlist online, which was a great choice--it significantly shortened our wait time, and we appreciated receiving a text when our table was ready so we could head right in. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so I definitely recommend joining the waitlist or making reservations ahead of time if possible. I've heard they also have another location in Atlanta, Georgia, where parking is required and they offer specialty lemonades. The vibe here was really nice--great music, friendly staff, and beautiful decor. We especially loved the thoughtful touch of flowers on the tables in honor of Mother's Day. Our waitress was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, including specialty items and pricing. For food, we ordered the shrimp and waffles, chicken tenders with waffles, and the catfish plate, which comes with two sides--we chose potatoes and eggs. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. We also tried their lemonades, which come in a variety of flavors like strawberry, pineapple, and blueberry, and they are refillable. The only downside for us was that they only offer bottled water--we would have preferred the option of having a regular cup of ice water at the table. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was flavorful, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Pricing is around $20+ per person. I just wish they had a location like this in Arizona!

Every dish was perfection!! Our server was awesome! She knew the menu and I gave her the 3 items that I had narrowed down to what I may want for her to pick for me... the quiche of the day with andouille sausage, shrimp, peppers, cheese and the most delicious light Flaky crust served with gouda grits that were outstanding! My plate looked like it had just came out of the dish washer I cleaned it so good ! Another person had the Eggs Benedict with the grits and he cleaned his plate as well. 3rd person got the turkey sandwich but on a croissant bc the sweet server said that was her favorite and boy it didn't disappoint... the 4th person got the strawberry pecan chicken salad that was massive! We lucked out by going on a Wednesday which is 20% off for seniors 65+ so we all received the discount! The coffee was great. The place is not huge but it is very clean and cozy feeling. Just slightly smaller than the First Watch we usually go to but the food was better and that's an accomplishment! It's in Sugar Hill, GA about 45 minutes from my house but definitely worth the drive. I already know what I'm having next time...creme brulè French toast with vanilla pudding... then the next time a banana Nutella crepe . I rolled in there hungry enough to eat the bumper off a truck and ordered the meatloaf ciabatta sandwich with hand-cut fries, and sweet mercy... somebody's grandma must be back there running the kitchen because that thing was borderline life-changing. The meatloaf was thick, juicy, and had that "somebody's been perfecting this recipe since 1978" flavor going on. The ciabatta held it together like a champ, and those hand-cut fries? Lord have mercy. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- the kind you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the basket's empty and you're thinking about ordering another. Now here's the real kicker: they've got gluten-free options, which means I can bring my wife this weekend without her looking at the menu like it personally offended her. That alone deserves a round of applause. So if you're anywhere near Buford and your stomach starts talking louder than your good sense, do yourself a favor and stop by.
