The bald man who owns this place is RUDE. Believe the other reviews that say that. No customer service skills. If you're going to call yourself owning and operating a place requiring people skills/customer service skills, you need to actually have them. Not to mention, the food here has been absolutely disgusting to match that attitude as well. We tried to give them another chance and it's just straight up gross. The biggest thing was no seasonings on the gyros like how do you NOT have any flavor on something like that . We know you won't, care but we aren't coming back. read more

We love this place. It has become a weekly must have. If I worked closer I would be here daily. The food is fresh, good and at reasonable prices. Mike and his daughter, Maddie, run the place and they are great people. Mike also does daily lunch specials and new pizza flavors all the time. You have to try this place! Excellent Buffalo New York style subs and pizza. The business is under new management and is no longer owned by the Indian family. Instead it is being run by a family from New York, they are keeping the signs the same because they do serve subs as well as pizza. The place is a great place for the casual diner to stop for a slice and an ice on a busy day. read more

Sugar Hill Subs is a mom and pop owned sub restaurant that's been around the area since 2010! The owners Anjali and Ron are amazing lovely people and always strive to provide the best quality and service to every customer. I've always seen this restaurant driving by, but once i visited I was hooked! I have become a regular and come every week. There is a wide range of subs, but don't let this deter you from the quality as it is amazing! Anjali ensures they always provide fresh vegetables, a local sourced bakery, and high quality meats! The prices are competitive or even cheaper than neighboring restaurants. There is a daily special rotating sub where you get a sub, with chips and drink at a surprisingly low price. My favorite subs are the Italian, Baja chicken, and cheese steak! Fridays and Saturdays they have a special where they have rotating Indian foods for their special and it's absolutely fantastic. If you're from Buffalo I would definitely NOT recommend this place. The food was horrible and the owner was very rude. Not sure what he meant by don't tell your friends because we don't need lines around the corner of your friends. The remark was kind of raciest, but maybe I took it wrong way. I never seen a Buffalo slice of pizza with 4 pepperoni ( my friend had 3). As you can see from the pictures this is not Buffalo pizza or subs. How do you make a steak sub with no grill?? Six years of best of yelpers can't be wrong! As others have testified its a mom and pop shop with Indian( not native American) roots. The owner lady and her husband appear to be the salt of the earth type. Ambiance is clean and quiet with no distracting music. I had the chicken shawarma made fresh to order. I was a little unsure when I pulled up, but I'm so glad I stopped. Probably one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had! The proprietors are so sweet and helpful. Best sub I've had in a while! I had the pulled pork added a bit of their hot sauce and it was delicious! The owners are delightful, helpful & very much care about the customers experience with their food. The price was more than reasonable which is hard to find these days. I want to love it! I don't come here often, but this is probably my last time. The prices keep going up (everything is, I know), but the establishment is run down and untidy. The food here was DISGUSTING. The place was run down, which I was like ok I'll give it a try but I bought sandwiches and salad and the meat all looked like it was old and rotten. I got my husband a CHICKEN sandwich but he said it tasted like FISH / tuna and when he looked he couldn't even tell what the meat was, it was dark like it was rotten. I got gyro and the meat looked rotten also. They make you get ice from a bucket which is very unsanitary and their coke machine didn't dispense any coke. We stopped here while going through town. I would describe it as a better subway. The lady running it was wonderful. Very nice. Food was good. She said they serve Indian food on Friday. Sugar Hill subs was such a delight! The owner was so welcoming and helpful. She was so proud of the food and options provided, which she should be! Every Friday they offer Indian inspired subs, so of course we had to take part. We ordered the chicken Marsala sub and an Italian sub. The Marsala was ordered on a white hoagie and the Italian was on a wheat hoagie. The breads were so soft and freshly made. The chicken Marsala was like eating a home cooked meal. It was light and very flavorful. The Italian was the best Italian sub we had ever had. I don't know what she added, but there was a reason it was her top seller. We cannot speak better of a sub location. Sugar Hills Sub is a family establishment, which has been around for 8 years.
