Summary: Main Moon is essentially what you'd expect it is upon first glance; a Chinese American fast food restaurant with low prices. Traditionally, these places are known for their low prices and subpar food, but I'm not sure I feel the same about Main Moon. Price: Okay, so the prices are low. I feel that I ordered a General Tso's Combo which includes a main entree of General Tso's chicken, a bed of Fried Rice, and an Eggroll for about $6. Taste: Ultimately, Main Moon is a Chinese American fast food restaurant, but the food tastes good. The smell of it cooking is fantastic as well if you wait for it. I've had a couple different kinds of chicken here so far (General Tso's, Sweet and Sour) and I enjoyed both. Sure, it's fried food probably loaded with sodium, but it sure does taste good. Atmosphere: The Dine-In area leaves a bit to be desired, but let's be honest, do you go to a Chinese place for a good sit-down experience? That said, I've ate there before, and I wasn't put off. The staff isn't that fluent in English, but why does that matter? You're there to eat. I will say though that the main guy that is always there is pretty awesome. Overall: I give Main Moon a 4 based on their consistantly good service and slightly above average taste. It's more or less your typical Chinese place, but it does what it needs to do right. Don't go there if you're expecting a great sit-down experience or if you expect traditional Chinese food, it's not that kind of place. But the kind of place that it is works just fine.

Tasteless, gooey and greasy food. Egg roll so much grease it was dripping and it was all you could taste. Entire meal was inedible.

The food was not oily and took about ~15 min to make (I don't mind the wait) One lady speaks better English than the other but both were very nice to me.

I highly recommend starting with the cheese plate. We only chose to do the single but the star is all the things that accompany it! For $12 a great value! For our meals, Schweety had the burger with a side salad and i had the Crispy Chicken entree. He really liked his! The salad portion of my meal was excellent, I would have preferred the chicken to be a little less crispy as it took away from the flavor of the chicken. The burger was perfect. The crab cake was good, but not in my top 5 crab cakes I've ever eaten. The calamari was yummy. The service was impeccable. Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider. I liked that the noise level was not too loud. You can have a normal conversation. Ambiance is really wonderful. Glad we stopped in.

Our friend had been talking about getting Thai food even before arriving there, so we knew instantly where we needed to go: The Elephant in Geneva! We came a bit early for dinner, probably at around 6pm (way earlier than my normal 8/9pm dinner time) but it was perfect for our party fo 6. They had a really nice ambiance and I really loved the screens all around the restaurant that made you feel like you were looking into an aquarium, super cool and cozy. The staff and servers here were amazing! So hospitable, kind and got our orders in so quick. When the portions came out we were shocked at how large the plates were. For me and my hubby, our portions were JUST right and we definitely didn't need to share since we were starving. A lot of our friends did end up taking some of the food home since it was a lot. I ordered the green curry and it was so delicious. My only "complain" would be that I wish the curry was a bit hotter (temperature wise) since it felt a bit on the lukewarmy side. Other than that, it was perfect and just what we needed. We had vegetarians and gluten free in our group so it was the perfect spot for everyone to find something they could eat. DO NOT SKIP the Thai tea ***instant drool*** it's DELISH!

I recall the soft-shell crab appetizer being one of my favorites from my previous visits and I had to opt in for it. I found this time around; the soft-shell crab was of a smaller size and clumsily presented. As for the Blue Mango Tuna, these were tasty and we had no complaints there. For entrees, the girlfriend opted in for the Teriyaki Steak Bento Box. The steak was tender, and a huge highlight was the tempura. Hot, crispy and perfectly fried. As for my Sushi Deluxe, I was a bit disappointed. The salmon tasted off, and as much as I don't personally like tilapia, even by tilapia standards, these weren't good. I did however enjoy the yellowtail since it was a cut from the belly section and the sweet shrimp (a la carte). We found our server to be on the dull side. He came off as if he hasn't gotten sleep in a few days and didn't seem too happy to be there. This is just our observation and definitely affected our entire revisit to a favorite restaurant of mine. We can also overhear a man at the host stand teaching a young girl mathematics and can overhear her frustration with it. Our Asian Sandwich came with no tempura flakes on top which states it does on the menu. This wasn't the great experience I've had over the years, and I'm on the fence whether to return or just make the drive to Rochester and visit one of the Japanese restaurants there.

Beautiful grounds if the weather is good. On Seneca Lake....gorgeous. Wine spigot in the hotel hallway ( limited to one glass per person). We received a coupon for the wine tasting with 10% off of alcohol purchases in the store. The Continental breakfast had a nice assortment of drinks and cold items. Negatives: one word comes to mind...dated. Our room was small with a very limited lake view. The windows haven't been cleaned in a very long time. The television is tiny, like a computer monitor. The spring rod to the curtains kept springing off every time I tried to open or close the drape. The shower is tiny and you can barely turn around. There are few outlets, the only ones I was able to access that worked were in the bathroom ( only one of the double outlet was functional). The carpet in our room appeared to be about thirty years old and worn. This room, called the clay room was advertised on the website to have a queen bed and a refurbished bathroom. The bathroom has not been touched in years and the queen bed turned out to be a full-size bed. Stonecutters: wonderful waitress, who kept our beverages filled and was attentive. My broccoli cheddar soup had negligible cheddar or broccoli. My salad with grilled shrimp was okay. My husband's Cuban sandwich arrived on a stale roll and he thought the fries (weirdly shaped) were reheated. His chili arrived lukewarm. Not a good experience overall. Despite this, the staff are lovely, upbeat and helpful.

We were sat near the fireplace in low chairs with a normal size table. This was very uncomfortable to negotiate and trying to sit up to eat. Don't know - can we just have a normal table and chairs? Our waitress was also a bartender - said she was new and was younger than other wait staff I saw. She was very nice. Ordered an old-fashioned style drink which was god awful. Not sure if they had their wires crossed there or it's just my tastebuds. Ordered the whipped ricotta spread and the mozz fried planks as starters. The focaccia bread that was fried was very good and the spread added to it perfectly. The fried mozzarella was standard to me. For my meal I went with the chicken parm which is served with rigatoni Alfredo here. I really liked the contrast and the red sauce as well as the white were good by themselves as well as mixed. The chicken had a nice fry to it but the lack of sauce ended up some leftover chicken that I left and didn't finish. For dessert I ordered the NY STYLE cheesecake which really wasn't. Don't get me wrong it was good and I polished it, but it wasn't really the rich dense NY style. Overall nice place with a cool ambiance and style to neon signs and black and white check board floors - contrasting with mainstream library charm accents and decor.
